In August 2015, I casually stood in a residential area in Ashibetsu City, and found a coffee shop with a signboard that says the name of the coffee shop, but the building is labeled as a "parlor". The automatic door was interestingly decorated with the owner's taste, and inside, there were various items displayed. When I approached the table by the window, I found the master. He asked if I was a customer, and when I said I came to rest, he politely said, "I have nothing to serve you!" in a humorous way. I saw him carefully brewing coffee, and it was delicious. The place used to be a "light meal coffee shop," but due to age, it has changed. I heard that the best restaurant in Ashibetsu is La Fleur at the roadside station, but I prefer a casual dining place.
