When I came to eat the gyoza at Ryu-san's place, I saw a notice saying they were closed today, so I decided to look for a nearby restaurant and stopped by Aina-san's place. I arrived at the restaurant without any prior information, so I went inside. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very Japanese, or maybe it used to be a sushi restaurant before? The counter looked quite out of place for a Chinese restaurant, and the fact that there were both counter seats and tatami seating made it feel not very Chinese at all. Since I had no idea what their specialty was, I decided to order the ankake yakisoba (soy sauce flavor) that was listed at the top of the menu today. After a while, the dish arrived! It looked like it had a slightly smaller portion, but it was covered in a generous amount of sauce and looked delicious. I asked for some mustard, but it seemed like this restaurant didn't provide mustard. Oh well, I'll just have to eat it without mustard today. The slightly sweet sauce was really tasty as it coated the fried noodles! The noodles had a nice crispy texture throughout, and I couldn't stop eating. This was really good. After finishing the meal, I felt satisfied with the portion size and overall quality for a weekday lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I haven't had Chinese food other than ramen for a while, so this morning I decided to try a Chinese restaurant that I had researched. The restaurant seemed a bit run-down from the outside, but it was a decent building. I arrived a little before opening time at 11:02 am, and there were no other customers. The owner, a man in his 40s, opened the restaurant and I sat at the counter. I tried to order the daily special written on a sign outside (sweet and sour pork), but it turned out to be a spicy pork stir-fry. The portion size was smaller than expected, and the rice was served in a regular bowl. The main dish lacked volume, and the soup portion was too small. Despite the flavorful taste, I finished the rice quickly and still had half of the main dish left. I stayed until around 11:30 am, but there were no other customers. It seemed like the restaurant may have lost customers due to changes in management.

Lunch A 800 yen Five ingredients yakisoba with thick sauce, side dish, salad, pickles, soup I didn't like the salad because it had shiso dressing. The yakisoba with thick sauce was quite sweet. The noodles were cooked well. I thought it would be nice to have some mustard. Also, I wish there were tissues, wet wipes, or paper napkins available. The soup was delicious as usual. Takeout Mapo tofu 700 yen Strong taste of sansho pepper and quite sweet. The tofu was firm and large. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for me. Sweet and sour pork 750 yen Sweet flavor. It seemed like there was a lot of sweet bean sauce. Stir-fried pork with green peppers 800 yen Simply delicious. 5 dumplings for 450 yen Strong garlic flavor with a solid filling. I quite liked it. There are vinegar, soy sauce, chili oil, and toothpicks available on the counter. The service is good.

I happened to pass by this restaurant and decided to go in. It is located in an unexpected place. They offer lunch sets as well as individual items. This time, I tried their tantanmen noodles. It may not be flashy, but it's a traditional tantanmen with a strong sesame flavor that is excellent. It feels like the kind of reliable restaurant that has been around for a long time.

On a certain weekday, I entered a Chinese restaurant in Kita-ku, Shinkotoni, checking the inside as I walked in. It had been a while since I visited this place. Upon arrival, I noticed that there were plenty of parking spaces, and the counter inside was clean and tidy, which was convenient. On this day, the lunch menu consisted of 3 options, with the rest possibly available from the regular menu. I remembered having the ankake yakisoba last time, so this time I decided to try the lunch set "Lunch B (750 yen)" with fried rice as the main dish. Oh, it seems they are short-staffed too? Anyway, I took a bite... Hmm, at first glance, the fried rice seemed to have relatively few ingredients, but it was a moist type with surprisingly good seasoning. It wasn't flashy, but I found myself quietly saying "this is good... no, this is really good" as I ate. The ingredients included char siu, green onions, and eggs, keeping it simple. In addition, there was also fried chicken in sweet and sour sauce, pickled vegetables, and a salad with plum dressing. The soup was a typical egg drop soup. Overall, it wasn't outstanding, but I enjoyed a simple and hearty fried rice. Thank you for the meal.

I drove to a restaurant in Shin-Kotoni, which was my 33rd visit of the year 2020. The restaurant was located in a residential area, with a cozy atmosphere. The menu was reasonably priced, and the fried rice set for 750 yen was delicious with a subtle flavor. The fish and seafood in chili sauce for 750 yen was also a good choice, with a sweet and spicy taste. The husband and wife who ran the restaurant were friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a casual Chinese restaurant that I would definitely visit again.

[Ito-na] The desired store was crowded regardless of the current situation, and the parking lot was full... So, I decided to go at a different time after finishing my shopping and took a road I don't usually take, where I saw a Chinese menu flag waving. Feeling hungry and up for a new adventure, I entered the restaurant. There were counter seats and raised tatami seating, with only one group of customers at the counter, which was reassuring given the current circumstances. I ordered "Lunch A" which was a five-ingredient yakisoba with thick sweet soy sauce-based sauce. The sauce had a nice thickness that coated the noodles until the end. The ingredients included pork, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, squid, and maybe Chinese broccoli? The dish was packed with ingredients. A small plate with one gyoza was unexpectedly served as a side dish. The gyoza had a chewy skin and a generous filling. The salad with daikon radish, watercress, carrots, and shiso dressing was refreshing. The pickled vegetables were the usual Chinese mustard greens. Lastly, the soup with wakame seaweed and egg had a gentle flavor.

I went to a certain restaurant and found out that it was closed for the day. According to Tabelog, their regular holiday is Sunday. So, I decided to come to this nearby restaurant instead. There are a few parking spaces in front of the shop. Inside, there is a counter and a tatami area, giving off a sushi restaurant vibe. The lunch menu includes a daily special for 750 yen, Lunch A for 800 yen, Lunch B for 750 yen, and Tan Tan Men for 850 yen. There are also various a la carte items, but I didn't check if they are available for lunch. I ordered Lunch A, which includes ankake yakisoba, pickles, a small dish, salad, and soup. The pickles are crunchy zasai. The small dish is tofu topped with minced meat, which has a rich flavor and would go well with beer. The salad consists of daikon and sunny lettuce. The soup is a thick egg soup with a light taste. The ankake yakisoba contains pork, squid, Chinese cabbage, bamboo shoots, greens, and carrots. The sauce is soy sauce-based, thick, and slightly sweet. It might be nice to have some mustard with it. The noodles are thin and lightly stir-fried. The noodle portion itself may be a bit small. The ankake yakisoba alone costs 750 yen, so the set for 800 yen is a good deal.

Ankake yakisoba with five toppings for around 800 yen. It was a bit sweet. The interior gives off the feeling that it used to be a sushi restaurant. I get the sense that they have no intention of spending money on renovations.

The restaurant had a traditional Japanese design. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was in a high-class Chinese restaurant. The food was top-notch Chinese cuisine! As a big fan of Chinese food, even though it's far from my home, I can't wait to go back to this restaurant.

Hello, this is our first visit to this restaurant. I came here with my partner. Oh? This place used to be a sushi restaurant, right? The main seating is in a raised tatami area. It seems like the name of the restaurant, "Aina," comes from "beloved wife." I like to call myself a devoted husband, so (laughs) it's just self-proclaimed, I don't know my partner's opinion. There are also appealing menu items like chilled tantanmen. But since it's our first visit, I wanted to try the taste of this place. We ordered mapo tofu, grilled dumplings, and rice. My partner decided on the ankake yakisoba. The taste here is generally on the sweeter side. Both the mapo tofu and ankake yakisoba were quite sweet. The soup must be made well, the mapo tofu didn't have a strong numbing taste or spiciness. In other words, it's a mapo tofu that would be well-liked by everyone. Well, the sweetness is appealing to people from Hokkaido. It's not bad at all. And oh, the dumplings here! Could it be that the skin is homemade too? The filling is also well blended, like the ones I make at home. Oh? I really like these dumplings from here. The chewy skin, it would probably taste great as boiled dumplings. Oh, I see. I haven't confirmed this, but I think the owner of this place specializes in Beijing cuisine, as well as dishes from the northeastern region. So, it's not Sichuan cuisine, but dishes using sweet bean sauce are delicious, right? I see, I see. Next time, I'll ask if they can make boiled dumplings. And I also want to try the fried rice. Alright, I'll do that. ♫

I found a Chinese restaurant in this area. It is located in a beautiful residential area with parking available in front of the store and on the side. The interior seems to be a former sushi restaurant, with a counter and a raised tatami seating area. The background music consists of a variety show on TV and conversations from local elderly ladies on their smartphones. On this day, I decided to try the lunch special, "Five-Ingredient Ankake Yakisoba" from the three lunch options available for 800 yen. The ankake yakisoba had a nice texture with medium curly noodles fried to a crispy perfection. The thick sauce had a savory soy sauce base with a hint of sesame oil. The dish included ingredients such as Chinese cabbage, carrots, greens, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, pork, and squid. The meal also came with a spicy chicken and daikon salad, a salad with plum dressing, salty and slightly spicy pickled vegetables, and a seaweed and egg soup. Restaurants like this, serving such delicious dishes, are essential in the community, and I hope they continue to thrive. Thank you for the meal.

Welcome! On the first day of visiting NaviCo in Shinkotoni, Hokkaido, we were turned away for dinner, so we ended up in a quiet residential area with a slightly hidden restaurant. It seems to be a family-run place, with a young owner, a mother, and another lady running the show. It used to be a sushi restaurant, and the atmosphere is quite calm and welcoming. For lunch, we opted for the lunch set A, which included yakisoba. The yakisoba looked elegant, with a base of squid, shrimp, pork, vegetables, and mushrooms in a thick sauce. It was mixed well and had a mild soy sauce flavor with a good dashi base. The noodles were thick and chewy, providing a satisfying texture. The set also came with two freshly fried chicken pieces, a refreshing salad, an egg and seaweed soup, and pickled vegetables to finish. The customers seemed to be mostly elderly, giving the place a homely feel. The food was visually appealing and catered to a more traditional taste palate. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal!
