It's around 2:00 PM on September 14, 2015. Recently, I've been hooked on the Shinro and Oohira area, which is only a 15-minute drive away from my place. Being a graduate of the Shinro Driving School, I have some familiarity with the area. I came across this place that seemed promising based on reviews, so I decided to visit. I rushed over as they were about to close at 2:30 PM. I drove through the Okurashu Tekkodan Industrial Estate from Higashinaoho, heading west on Yokoshindo, and turned right at Shinro 2-5, just before the Nissan dealership. It's located next to well-established diners like Huumei and Shanghai. The parking lot is spacious and easy to park in. There was one group of customers already there, a lively gathering of moms. The staff greeted me warmly, with a lady at the front and an older gentleman in the back. It seems like a family-run business. They seated me at a spacious table. Despite the last order announcement, they assured me it was okay to order. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, free of grease stains. They served me cold tea and a teapot filled with ice, which was nice. I ordered the hormone set meal and a half-size portion of raw lamb. The set meal was only 500 yen, which is a steal. The grill was fired up, using a combination of gas and charcoal. It was quick to cook and not too hot, just the way I like it. They brought me a basket with four types of dressing and mayonnaise. I also prepared the sauce and gochujang while waiting. Finally, the set meal arrived. I had chosen the pickled kimchi, which looked more like pickles at first glance. But it had a nice balance of acidity and kimchi flavor, with a good crunch. The soup was packed with wakame seaweed, and it was delicious. The salad, though small, had a variety of vegetables and amazing dressings. The homemade dressings in bottles included South American, sesame, lemon juice, and French, which were all tasty. The meat was grilled next, with a generous portion of hormone. The raw lamb, lightly seasoned, was around 500 yen for a half portion. I grilled them one by one. The rice was also delicious and I asked for a refill. The hormone had a miso flavor, without any unpleasant smell, and it was a great value for the price. The raw lamb was a steal at around 300 yen. I had plenty of rice, soup, and salad, and I asked for another refill. The large serving of rice in a light bowl made it easy to eat without straining my hands. I finished off the meal and left just before the last order time. The total bill came to a little over 800 yen, which was a great deal. I would definitely come back again. Later, as I headed out with my daughter for shopping, we were caught in a heavy rainstorm accompanied by thunder, but we also saw a beautiful double rainbow. Unfortunately, my phone was out of battery, so I couldn't take a picture.
