Today's lunch was at "Mennoya" in Uehommachi. They offer a wide variety of ramen and tsukemen, making it hard to decide what to order. I decided to try the "Hiya Atsu Juhachiban" which looked delicious on the ticket machine. I chose the soy sauce base. When ordering, I asked if I could reduce the noodle portion to 1.5 servings. The dish arrived, and I started eating. The broth had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, with the acidity coming from sudachi. The tare was soy sauce-based, and I wondered if they used chicken or seafood broth. The noodles were thin and chewy, a good match for the dipping sauce with chopped green onions, chashu, and some greens. The toppings were just right. Towards the end, I added lemon juice (or was it sudachi juice?) for a refreshing twist. They also offered soup dilution for health-conscious diners. When I finished, the manager approached me and asked if I enjoyed the meal. I complimented the delicious soup and mentioned my interest in trying their shio tsukemen next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I look forward to returning.

This is Uemachi Mennoya. The lingering summer heat continues, and it's still hot. It's only 11:35 am and the place just opened. There are a few customers already here, and more are coming in. Today's special is the Cold Curry Mazesoba. It comes with a seasoned egg on top. The homemade flat, medium-thin noodles are delicious. I ordered 1.5 servings this time. The curry soup base is light and smooth, with a hint of spice. Mix it well with the noodles, and the cold curry sauce clings nicely to them, creating a tasty combination. The crunchy green onions, dried radish, and Okra all absorb the curry sauce well and taste great. The summer vegetables like tomatoes add a refreshing touch. The seasoned egg is perfectly runny, and the curry-flavored meat is delicious. After finishing the noodles, I enjoyed the rice with the remaining curry sauce. The cold curry rice and warm rice make a perfect balance. This spicy and cold dish is just right for a hot day.

I was recommended to try the tsukemen by a colleague and decided to visit the restaurant. However, I couldn't resist the word "limited edition" and ended up trying the cold curry maze soba instead. I ordered 1.5 servings of noodles and a small portion of rice. The smooth flat noodles were mixed with curry broth, topped with char siu flakes, green onions, tomatoes, okra, and dried daikon radish. It was delicious, but a bit challenging to eat the noodles with all the toppings. There was also a system where you could add curry powder midway through the meal. Finally, I added the rice to make curry rice and finished the meal feeling satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Mennoya Kamihonmachi Tanimachi is located in a perfect spot on Kamimachi Street. The shop was really hot because the air conditioning wasn't working that day. However, their Ume Shio Ramen is delicious. It had been a few years since I last visited, but this time I went at night and the shop was not crowded at all. I was able to get a seat right away. It seems like it gets pretty busy during lunchtime.

I visited "Men Noya" in Ue Hommachi and tried their "Spicy Curry Tsukemen 2 servings 240g (1000 yen)". The curry dipping sauce is made with a rich broth from whole chicken, autumn swordfish flakes, soy sauce, and kombu dashi, giving it a slightly thick consistency with a strong curry spice flavor, balanced with the moderate umami of chicken broth and seafood taste, and a gradual spiciness. The homemade noodles are medium-thin straight noodles that have a good texture and firmness when dipped in the sauce. The small-sized chashu slices in the sauce are tender and well-seasoned, allowing the meat's flavor to shine through. You can also adjust the flavor using the black pepper, shichimi, chili oil, and black vinegar provided on the table.

I went to this restaurant recommended by someone. I ordered the recommended Mennoya Ramen Motoaji for 900 yen and the Manpuku Set for 480 yen. The ramen was a light soy sauce flavor. The noodles were of normal size. The soup tasted like a regular soy sauce ramen, but the chashu (roast pork) was quite large. It seemed gentle on the stomach due to its light flavor. The fried chicken and gyoza were also of average taste. The overall experience was a bit disappointing as the flavors were average, but the large chashu was a highlight.

In the area around Tani 9, there is a ramen shop that is by far the most popular and well-established. This shop has produced a number of talented ramen chefs, some of whom have become popular in the Kansai region. It is truly the origin of a renowned shop. This time, I ordered the Hiyatsu Juuhachiban tsukemen in a regular size. Even though it's called regular, it comes with two servings of noodles. The noodles are shiny and chewy. The dipping sauce has a chicken broth and seafood flavor with a hint of acidity. Overall, the tsukemen was lighter than I expected. I'm interested in trying their ramen and miso tsukemen as well.

Ordered items:
- Limited Edition "Adult's Mixed Noodles" Large (2 servings) 1,300 yen
- Hiyatsu Juhachiban (soy sauce) 1.5 servings (180g) 950 yen
- Grilled Gyoza 400 yen
The restaurant had no wait, so we were seated immediately. The interior had a unique layout with a mix of counter and table seating. About half of the seats were taken. The menu offered a variety of soup options, which made me a bit skeptical about the place. However, I was drawn to the visually appealing limited edition menu items, so I decided to try them despite the higher prices.
The Hiyatsu Juhachiban (soy sauce) noodles were thin straight noodles with a good chewy texture and a smooth surface. The soup was different from the usual sweet and sour style, with a strong umami flavor and a citrusy acidity that created a refreshing yet rich taste. It was surprisingly delicious and left a lasting impression.
The "Adult's Mixed Noodles" had the same noodles as the previous dish, served cold. The sauce was a tangy soy sauce blend with a strong citrusy flavor. Mixing it thoroughly, the noodles absorbed the sauce, but the acidity became a bit overwhelming after finishing two servings. The fresh vegetable toppings were tasty, but for the price, I didn't feel compelled to finish it all.
We were also served a soup broth in a sake decanter, which added an extra layer of flavor to enhance the overall experience. The grilled gyoza was average and didn't leave a strong impression.
Overall, this restaurant, like the one I visited before, didn't seem too promising based on the overall rating, but it turned out to be a hidden gem. It's these surprises that keep me exploring new places. I'm curious to try their other menu items, as this visit was satisfying.

Rich Salt Ramen - 800 yen
A rich salt ramen with a combination of seafood and chicken. The seafood flavor was just right and very delicious. I'm usually not a fan of salt ramen, but this one was really tasty. I want to try a different ramen next time.

This is Mennoya in Kamihonmachi! It's the evening on a day off! Located along Kamitamachi Street in Kamihonmachi! I visited right after opening at 6 o'clock! When it gets hot, I crave it, Mennoya's specialty! This time, it's the cold adult mixed noodles! It's a medium serving of 1.5 portions! The noodles are homemade thin noodles, and with the medium serving, it's quite a generous portion! The slightly adult soy sauce dressing with sweetness, acidity, and spiciness is mixed well! The soy sauce dressing coats the noodles well and tastes delicious! The flavor of green onions and myoga is good, and the aroma of shiso leaves is nice too! The water eggplant is juicy and delicious! The sweetness and acidity of the tomatoes go well together! The texture and flavor of the asparagus from Masu Farm are also good and delicious! The diced char siu has a good texture and is meaty and delicious! After finishing the noodles, I enjoyed a soup split! It's a delicious soup split with the adult soy sauce dressing mixing with the warm soup! It was a cold and delicious bowl that I was able to enjoy again this year!

I had the Ramen Motoaji and Chashu Don at Mennoya. It was my first time visiting. It seems to be a popular place, but on the last day of Golden Week, a rainy Sunday before noon, it wasn't too crowded. The Motoaji had a quite light soup. You can drink it all without feeling guilty. The smooth thin noodles had a satisfying chewy texture. The Chashu Don had plenty of diced chashu on top of firm rice. I left feeling full. Thank you for the meal!

"I visited Mennoya in Uehommachi and tried their Hiyatsu Jurokuban (2 servings, 240g for 950 yen). The broth is made from whole chicken from Okumino, combined with bonito flakes, mackerel flakes, and kelp dashi, resulting in a miso dipping sauce with a low viscosity and a rich miso flavor. The refined umami of chicken broth and the slight acidity of the seafood flavor create a deep and flavorful taste. The homemade noodles are medium-thin straight noodles, with a good adherence to the dipping sauce and a firm texture. The small-sized chashu slices in the dipping sauce are tender and well seasoned, allowing you to enjoy the deliciousness of the meat. You can also adjust the flavor using the pepper, shichimi, chili oil, and black vinegar on the table."

[Ao Group Hideka] Ramen activity. Noodle activity. The ramen shop I always go to is celebrating its 21st anniversary, and they are offering ramen and tsukemen for 650 yen for those who have registered on LINE. I went to "Mennoya" today. I had the cold and hot noodles for 650 yen (using the LINE coupon) and 3 pieces of fried chicken for 400 yen. It seems like these prices are from when they first opened 21 years ago. It's amazing that you can have two servings of tsukemen for 650 yen nowadays. And the addictive deliciousness remains the same. It made me realize that I've been coming here for 12 years. Note: Cannot be used with other coupons. During a regular lunchtime around 13:30, there was a wait for 5 people. I ordered the Hiyatsu #16 (miso) for 950 yen, with a personal rating of 3.4, and the Karaage set for 250 yen, with a personal rating of 3.5. The noodles were thin and had a soft texture, with a nice wheat flavor. The miso soup was light and had a slightly spicy aftertaste, similar to a rich miso soup. The Karaage was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and easy to eat. Finally, I finished with the soup served in a pot, which had a strong bonito flavor and added a delicious Japanese touch. Thank you for the meal! ♬

【Aogumi Hideka】's ramen activity. Noodle activity. Time difference posting. When feeling a bit tired, I went to my usual ramen shop "Mennoya" to get some refreshing Ume (plum) salt ramen to relieve my fatigue. - Kishu Ume (plum) salt ramen 950 yen - Boiled egg topping with LINE coupon - 3 pieces of fried chicken 400 yen - Extra noodles 150 yen The sourness of the Ume (plum) is just right and really penetrates the body. The slightly sour cherry tomatoes are a nice accent, and even though the ramen's saltiness is light, it is covered by the Ume (plum) saltiness. I couldn't resist getting an extra serving of noodles. Thank you for the delicious meal today. #ramen #Mennoya #ramenactivity #noodleactivity #ramenlover #wanttoconnectwithramenlovers ⬇︎ Please also follow me on Instagram ⬇︎ Account ⬇︎ @hideka_9

I went to the restaurant on Saturday at 11:40. It was just after opening, and it was already full with the first round of customers, so I had to wait a bit. I bought a ticket from the vending machine, but I wasn't sure which was the popular item. When I asked the staff, they kindly told me. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly. The tsukemen noodles were not too thick but had a rich flavor. It came with lemon juice, which paired well with the dish. The noodles were medium thickness and seemed to be equivalent to two servings. It was very delicious.

I visited "Men no Ie" in Uehommachi and tried the "Braised Pork Ramen" for 1100 yen. The soup is a combination of chicken broth made from whole Mino ancient chicken, autumn swordfish flakes, Soeda flakes, and kelp fish broth, with a light soy sauce base. It has a refined umami taste from the chicken broth and a seafood flavor, creating a well-balanced rich flavor. The homemade noodles are flat and medium-thin straight noodles, with a good chewy texture. The chashu pork is thick and tender, with a satisfying taste. You can also customize the flavor with the pepper, shichimi pepper, chili oil, and black vinegar available on the table.

This is Mennoya in Kamicho! This time, I visited at night, around 7:40 pm. The restaurant is not too busy, with a few customers already seated. They have introduced a ticket machine since my last visit, so I bought my meal ticket there and took a seat. Soon, more customers started coming in and the place quickly filled up. This time, I tried their winter limited edition dish, the Oyster Miso Ramen. It came with a topping of seasoned egg. First, I enjoyed a steamed oyster from Kyotango Kumihama, which was large and delicious. Squeezing some lemon over it enhanced the flavor. The ramen had a slightly spicy miso broth with a good balance of sweetness and spiciness, and you could taste the oyster essence in it. The homemade thin noodles paired well with the oyster-infused miso broth. The green onions and mushrooms added a nice texture, and the dried radish soaked up the miso soup flavor perfectly. The seasoned egg topping was perfectly runny and tasty. The large chashu slices were tender and flavorful. The three large oysters from Kyotango Kumihama were juicy, full of umami, and deliciously firm. This winter limited edition dish was a delightful bowl of ramen that I would love to have again next year!

[Ao-gumi Hideka]'s ramen activity. Noodle activity. After a week of hard work, I suddenly craved my usual tsukemen, so I went to "Menoya" restaurant.
- 2 servings of Hiyatsu 18 (shoyu) for 950 yen
- Boiled egg with LINE coupon
- 3 pieces of karaage for 400 yen
It's been a while since I had Hiyatsu 18, but the taste is addictive as always. Maybe it's the flavor of the sudachi squeezed juice that makes it so good. The noodles are smooth and delicious. Despite the price increase, it's nice to get a boiled egg with a LINE coupon in times like these. Did the karaage lose its flavor? Was it just today? Thanks for the meal again today. #Ramen #Menoya #RamenActivity #NoodleActivity #Hiyatsu18 #Karaage #RamenLover #WantToConnectWithRamenLovers ⬇︎Follow me on Instagram as well⬇︎ Account⬇︎@hideka_9

"Ao Group Hideka's ramen activity. Noodle activity. My back hurts and I can't practice drums, so I went to my favorite ramen shop 'Menoya' to eat delicious food. I've been going there for about 10 years, but this time I tried their limited edition ramen for the first time.
- Oyster Miso Ramen with steamed oysters with shells for 1600 yen. I went for the soft-boiled egg with a LINE coupon. It was crowded this time, probably because of this limited edition ramen. The spicy miso soup with plump oysters was delicious. A must-try for oyster lovers. Personally, I prefer the regular plum salt or chilled/hot 18 ban. Oyster lovers should definitely try it. Be careful, it might sell out! Thank you for the meal. #ramenactivity #noodleactivity #ramen #Menoya #limitededitionoystermisoramen #ramenlover #wanttoconnectwithramenlovers
