The music recital at the church has successfully concluded. I wasn't able to perform "Yoru ni Kakeru" as well as I hoped, so I'll take on the challenge again next year. Haha. I'm glad everyone was able to get along until the end. With that said, this was my third visit to Panja in Soshi-gaya Oizumi. Last time we had 15 people, but this time we had 17 and the place was fully reserved. Once again, a series of unconventional Western dishes were served. The Bologna and avocado paste were both outstanding. The avocado dip was also excellent. Previously, we had it with walnuts, but this time, the owner kindly informed us that it was made with pecans from Ohio. Including the final coffee, everything was wonderful as always, and everyone left the restaurant satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

This is a bar where you can enjoy jazz records on a large speaker. The master may seem quiet, but he's friendly once you start chatting with him. You can enjoy a drink while listening to jazz even if you're by yourself. There’s a wide variety of food and snacks available, including homemade sweets.

A jazz café and bar is located on the second floor of a building along Setagaya-dori, on the way to Soshigaya-Okura Station. Great music resonates throughout the café from vinyl records. The menu features dishes like pasta, curry, beef stroganoff, and quiche, among others. I decided to try their specialty, the Bolognese, which was priced at 1,200 yen. The Bolognese was served in a generous portion, filled with chunks of meat and homemade sauce, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It was an incredibly delicious Bolognese. Even though I'm not particularly interested in jazz, having lunch while listening to the beautiful sounds was a wonderful experience.

The music presentation at the Nara Church went off without a hitch. It was great that everyone was able to get along until the end. To celebrate, we had a gathering at Panja in Soshigaya-Okura. It was our second visit; last time we were a group of seven, but this time we had 15 people and rented the whole place. Surrounded by the sounds of jazz from a massive JBL speaker, we enjoyed a variety of non-traditional European dishes. The grape salad was once again exceptional. Previously, it was served with walnuts, but this time my wife kindly informed us that it featured pecans from Ohio. Today marked the last local practice for our music performance scheduled for June at the church. We made our first visit to Panja in Soshigaya-Okura, which had been a candidate for our after-party. Although several members had connections with the master and his wife, we felt quite honored to have the place reserved just for our group of seven. The jazz music flowing from the massive JBL speakers accompanied a delightful array of European-inspired dishes served without constraint. Among them, the quiche and grape salad were particularly outstanding. It was truly wonderful how the owners kindly shared their recipes, showcasing their remarkable character. The final coffee was also excellent. We made a reservation for next month and left the restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal!
