Sapporo Tour vol.26 After leaving Sapporo, we headed to New Chitose Airport. Of course, we have to buy souvenirs... so we went to ANAFESTA. We always come here... I guess the location is good, right? It's located where all departing passengers must pass by. And, we always buy the same thing. White Black Thunder bars. I bought a large bag for distributing at work. Around 50 should be enough (I don't know the exact number of people). The large bag contains smaller individually wrapped bars, making it super convenient for distributing. They are delicious too! Next to it, there was a new (maybe?) Pink version. I bought this as a souvenir for my family. I tried it after returning home, and it was also delicious! I also considered getting Snaffle's Cheese Omelette... but no, let's try something different this time. After quickly paying, let's move on to the next stop.

Just before boarding the plane to Haneda, I bought a small size Ishikari sushi from "Sato Suisan" shop for dinner. When I arrived home, I immediately enjoyed it. It was delicious and nostalgic, similar to the "Shiretoko sushi" that used to be sold in the department store basement.

August 2019 Hokkaido Business Trip Part 3 On the second day, I stumbled upon a souvenir while walking around. It must be tough for the manufacturers and stores to decide where to place their products. This particular snack caught my eye because it was prominently labeled as something you can only buy here. I have a weakness for limited edition items. It said "Yuki no Kotsubu" for 540 yen, made with luxurious couverture chocolate for a satisfying crunch. Crunchy chocolate has a great texture, about the size of a ping pong ball. There are two colors, chocolate and white, both not too rich and mild. I wonder how many other limited edition items like this are out there.

Yes, yes! I'm weak when it comes to limited edition items. This is an original product called "Chocolat Gateau White" from the manufacturer of those white lovers. And if you show your ANA card, you can get a discount too! I bought it for home use. It comes in a package of 9 individually wrapped pieces. This confection is made with white chocolate as the base, and it has a sweet, fluffy, and elegant taste. It's so delicious that I couldn't resist. I'm glad I bought it. Thank you for the meal!

The vanilla soft serve sold at Gate 1 is different from other products by the same brand. While other products from the brand have a rich and creamy flavor, this soft serve has a light and refreshing taste.

Day drinking in Otaru was really fun ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ I enjoyed it so much that I decided to do it again the next day. It's convenient to have the JR station close to home because you can go anywhere easily. But I have to be careful not to drink too much and miss my stop (≧∇≦) Starting off with a Sapporo Cracker in the morning, it's so refreshing for summer! It's delicious ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ It has a rich flavor but still feels refreshing. I'll hold off on the second drink for now. It's only 7:30 after all (laughs).

During my ski trip to Furano in March 2017, Chitose Airport had many shops to choose from, making it difficult to decide where to buy. However, the 10% discount with the ANA card was a great deal. There were various brands available, so it's best to buy what's available in this store. I bought the following items: "Scallop Salted Fish" for 540 yen, which had a slightly strong salty taste. "Matsue Herring Roe" for 864 yen, which was sweet and delicious with large herring roe. "Nokken Coarse Ground Wieners" for 842 yen, which were very meaty and tasty. I purchased these souvenirs at the airport shop on the way back from my trip to Hokkaido. I didn't like having to wait in line at every store to make a purchase, but I realized I didn't have enough souvenirs, so I bought some more. The Hokkaido limited edition "North Chocolate Butter Sand" was something I received as a souvenir last month and had already tried once, so I bought it as a souvenir, but the "Marseille Butter Sand" is also a classic souvenir that I bought for myself. It's a place near the boarding gate on the ANA side of New Chitose Airport. I decided to have a light breakfast before boarding the early flight, so I chose a "Mixed Sandwich" which had ham, egg, and potato fillings. The sandwiches were okay, but a bit dry, and quite expensive compared to convenience store sandwiches. Next time, I might opt for a branded "Katsu Sandwich" or buy a regular sandwich from a convenience store before coming to the airport. Now, it's time to board the plane and head to my destination.

November 2014 Hokkaido business trip log is finally coming to an end. From Sapporo Station, I took the JR train to Chitose Airport Station and went up the escalator to the right where there is an ANA shop. I always buy souvenirs here. Lately, I've been enjoying Royce's Nutty Bar. There is also a strawberry flavor, but the regular chocolate flavor seems to be delicious, so I always buy it on my way back. Service: ANA card members receive a discount when purchasing over 1000 yen. Food & Taste: This time, I purchased Royce's Nutty Bar and Shiroi Budo's "Northern Chocolate". I had previously enjoyed Shiroi Budo's Sugar Butter Tree at Tokyo Station, but this time I decided to buy the Northern Chocolate. It has a crisp texture and when you bite into it, the flavor of butter and chocolate spreads in your mouth, which is delicious. I received a souvenir from Hokkaido. It was introduced as the number one half-cooked gourmet in the country on NTV's "Hirunandesu". It is made with delicious Hokkaido rice, Yumepirika 100%. It has a mixture of soy sauce and curry flavors, giving it a soup curry-like taste. It has a crunchy texture and is chewy when you bite into it, very delicious. It is like a wet rice cracker but has a texture somewhere between a rice cracker and rice cake. There is also a simple soy sauce flavor available. I would like to try it.

There are no direct flights from Sapporo to Tokushima, so it requires a transfer at Haneda. The last flight from Haneda to Tokushima is at 7:30 PM. Since the flight from Chitose is at 5:30 PM, it's always a dilemma whether to eat before boarding or buy a bento to eat on the plane to Tokushima, or wait until arriving home. There is a Starbucks in front of the departure lobby for the Tokushima flight at Haneda, so I have eaten there before, but if there is a slight delay, there is no time at all. While wandering around Chitose, I came across a katsu sandwich at a shop I had never heard of before. When I think of katsu sandwiches, I usually think of Maisen, Mansei, Yoshikami, Saboten, and Wakou, so I couldn't help but buy it. (669 yen) The lady at the shop also recommended it, saying, "This is delicious." I ate it immediately on the plane. It had thick, juicy meat with a sauce that had a bit of spiciness to it. I prefer it with cabbage, even though it makes it a bit harder to eat, I might like it that way. Even after trying various katsu sandwiches, I find that my preference doesn't change much. The deliciousness greatly depends on where and when you eat it. I was very tired on this trip back home, so I ended up sleeping all the way until arrival. After researching later, I found out that it was a katsu sandwich from a cafe or restaurant in Sapporo. It seems to be quite a famous place, so I would like to visit there next time.
