On Monday at 7:00 PM, I went to "Sakuichi Main Store" in Shinsaibashi. I was amazed by the extensive menu. The handwritten menu list, which is over 1 meter long, is filled with enticing dishes, making it hard to decide what to order. What surprised me even more was that the menu changes daily. The "otoushi" appetizers were elegant and consisted of 5 different items, each meticulously prepared and bite-sized. Just with this, a sake pairing would be perfect. The "sashimi assortment" was a highlight, with fresh and varied fish types served individually, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavors. The "karasumi" was thick and generously sized, a luxurious treat to savor with sake. The "grilled eel & white grilled eel" was perfectly cooked, with excellent flavor and aroma. The "scallops wrapped in bacon" were a delightful combination of tender scallops and flavorful bacon. The "lotus root manju" showcased the chef's skill with its delicious broth and smooth texture. The "matsutake mushroom steamed dish" had a fragrant aroma and delicate broth. The "Biwa Lake-caught grilled ayu with roe" was beautifully presented, with a hint of pleasant bitterness. The "grilled black Satsuma chicken" was flavorful and healthy. I dined in a private room this time, but I look forward to sitting at the counter next time to watch the chefs at work. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited this restaurant in a private room. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and they prepare my favorite ingredients in various ways such as grilling, frying, and tempura. The restaurant is well-maintained and has a refined atmosphere, despite being in business for a long time. The quality of the ingredients and the seasonal dishes were satisfying, but the prices were not listed on the menu, making it feel a bit expensive. It may be better to visit for business entertainment or special occasions like birthdays rather than for a private meal.

It's the evening of September 2023, and I had a dinner party that was delicious♪♪♪ Overall, I was very satisfied with the dishes served, and my stomach was comfortably full. The course included the following: Appetizer, Sashimi, Simmered dish, Vinegared dish, Grilled dish, Mixed dish, Seasonal rice, Dessert. Among them, the dishes that I particularly enjoyed were the Mackerel sushi roll from the mixed dish, which was really tasty (^○^). I love mackerel, so maybe that's why I enjoyed it even more, I even wanted to buy one as a souvenir! Also, surprisingly delicious was the Fig mixed dish - I've had figs many times before, but were they always this delicious??? It was so tasty that it made me think that way♬♬♬ Even the closing mixed rice was delicious... although my stomach was full (⌒-⌒; ) Thank you for the feast(o^^o)

On my usual first floor... Hiro Sakukazu took a Bon holiday. I visited the main store on the fourth floor for the first time. Regular customers were enjoying themselves at the counter. It was difficult to join in the conversation, but I enjoyed my meal. The customs were different, and timing for ordering was also challenging, but the older brother who was there on the first floor before took care of me. Thank you very much.

I visited the traditional Japanese restaurant Sakuita in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. This time, I dined in a private room on the third floor. It was my second visit, and the atmosphere was quite charming. I opted for the chef's choice course. To start, we had tempura of cherry shrimp, followed by a sashimi platter featuring fresh, natural fish. The sea urchin, in particular, was sweet and of high quality, especially when wrapped in seaweed. Next, we enjoyed sliced raw abalone, which was surprisingly tender after being soaked in saltwater. Then came the grilled matsutake mushrooms and ayu fish, which you can eat from head to tail. A standout dish was the karasumi, a palate cleanser made from natural eel. The eel, available in two styles (grilled with salt or in sauce), was firm and succulent, enhanced by a touch of sansho pepper. Lastly, we savored a steak made from Japanese beef fillet, a rare find in a traditional Japanese restaurant. The marbling on the fillet was impressive, showcasing the chef's skill in sourcing high-quality ingredients. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the delicious dishes and exceptional hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

For me, the taste of Naniwa is definitely at Zaku-san. It's a joy to sit in front of the owner and discuss seasonal ingredients and how to prepare them, deciding together. He prepares dishes with the customer's happiness in mind, picturing their faces when making reservations. In my case, it seems easy to predict what I would like. Since I couldn't go in December, he specially prepared female snow crabs for me. The bamboo shoots were also the first of the season and could last for 8 more years. It's a rare and exceptional restaurant where you can eat what you like in your own way, without a set menu.

I went to this restaurant for a business dinner with a client. Everything was perfect. The service was great, the food was delicious (goes really well with sake). It was definitely worth the price. I was so full (from drinking too much sake) that I had to take the tai meshi (sea bream rice) home, but they packed it in a stylish box and I enjoyed it the next morning.

This is a shop that I visit occasionally. They offer a wide variety of authentic Japanese dishes in just the right portion size for one person. The menu is so rich that you'll want to keep coming back. The dishes I had this time were: appetizer assortment, raw sea cucumber, snow crab hot pot, beef fillet cutlet, flying fish roe, oyster fry, and seafood bowl.

This is my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant in Osaka. What's amazing about it is that they have over 100 different daily changing a la carte menu items, and even if it's not written down, the owner will discuss with you and bring out what you want. It can be a bit confusing at first if you're not familiar with Japanese cuisine, but the owner seems to know exactly what you want just by looking at your face. And everything is incredibly delicious! A restaurant like this won't come around again.

It was my first visit in a long time, and I had a meal in a private room. The menu was extensive with plenty of high-quality ingredients. Everything from the seasonal sashimi to the grilled dishes was delicious. The soba noodles were also tasty. The prices were on the higher side, but worth it.

This is my favorite traditional Japanese restaurant in Osaka. What makes it amazing is that they always have the freshest ingredients and cook them in your preferred style. The daily changing menu, which is a meter long, is truly impressive. Just looking at it is enjoyable. Moreover, the chef's creative seasonal dishes are outstanding. This month's highlight is a mushroom field with over 20 types of mushrooms from all over Japan. It's so good it brings tears to your eyes. Lastly, the chef's personality is wonderful. His smile is truly lovely. I'm always 200% satisfied.

Visited the restaurant with a friend who loves Japanese cuisine. Despite it being last minute, we were lucky to secure a private room. The sashimi platter included fatty tuna, sea bream, swordtip squid, and uni-wrapped flounder. We also enjoyed yuba in ankake sauce and bonito sashimi, followed by tempura with corn, smelt fish, lotus root, and okra. The chef's skills were truly impressive, with creations like a butterfly-shaped pumpkin and cucumber rings. It felt like a shame to devour them in one bite. The service was also pleasant, always leaving us feeling relaxed. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

You can order a la carte, but I couldn't decide because everything on the scroll-like menu looked so tempting, so I ended up getting the course menu. It cost 16,000 yen and I had to try the sea urchin from Awaji Island ❤️. - The appetizer was already prepared and served right away. It was delicious with a strong flavor. - The sashimi platter was amazing, I was so excited. I'm glad I ordered the sea urchin ❤️. Thank you ❤️. - The soup had seaweed instead of spinach. Bamboo shoots and seaweed make a great combination. - The crab was neatly peeled and made me happy. I wanted to taste some sake. - The tempura had fugu milt in it. It was crispy but a bit disappointing for someone who likes it a bit softer. - The salad had "Yamakasa Momiji" in it! I tried it for the first time. The texture was crunchy and the bitterness was minimal, very good. I'll definitely buy it if I find it somewhere. The main course included meat, tuna, abalone, and was luxurious! I was happy to be able to try a little bit of everything. The meal ended with bean rice. It was simple but shiny from being cooked in a clay pot. It was so delicious. - For dessert, I had chilled sweet red bean soup. It had a strong impact. I was able to relax in a completely private room. I was unsure whether to point out to the new waiter who brought the final tea that he touched the rim of the teacup. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Visited the famous restaurant "Sakuichi" known for its impressive variety of a la carte dishes! We made a last-minute reservation for the day and were seated at the counter, where we could watch the chefs preparing the food right in front of us. There was a large, delicious-looking crab in front of us, so we ordered it without even asking for the price, haha. The legs were quickly dipped in kombu dashi and served, while the shell was grilled with miso and served with the meat. I also ordered a white tilefish soup to enjoy the broth. The dishes had a subtle flavor overall. We had fun choosing other dishes based on the ingredients in front of us. The service was attentive, with many staff and chefs around. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

After visiting the Banksy exhibition, I wanted to eat something delicious on my way back. It was a popular restaurant, and I thought I might not be able to get in, but luckily a private room was available so I could dine there. I ordered a sashimi platter with bonito, shirako, and tempura assortment. Among them, the "Amadai and Mushroom Ankake" dish made with natural mushrooms from Nagano was outstanding. It had about 10 different types of mushrooms, and it was incredibly delicious. I left the restaurant satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

In Osaka, there are many good Japanese restaurants, but I think this one is the best. There are several reasons for this, but the main reason is the menu. While course meals are good, sometimes you don't want everything on the menu, so the ideal for a traditional Japanese restaurant is à la carte. Here, with over 100 items on the menu, it's a rare place where you can eat as much of your favorite dishes as you want. And each dish is outstanding in taste. Also, the owner's personality. Just seeing the owner's smile makes the visit worthwhile. And he recommends the dishes you want at the right moment. For example, there are several dishes with matsutake mushrooms on the menu. "It's not on the menu, but can you fry it with breadcrumbs and serve it with Worcestershire sauce?" "Oh, of course, I can do that. Actually, I think that's delicious too (smiling)." Just this exchange knocked me out. Another highlight is the mushroom hot pot in autumn. They cook and serve over 10 types of delicious mushrooms gathered from mushroom farms nationwide. It was so delicious that I was speechless. I couldn't help but loosen my wallet and stomach, and I had a great time. I'll visit again during the snow crab season!

I asked a gourmet older sister for a delicious meat restaurant and she recommended this place! Oh, I remember going there before and it was really delicious! I'm jotting down notes. They have private rooms which are quiet and relaxing~ The counter is nice too, but I really like the private rooms. The sashimi, grilled dishes, everything is reliably delicious! The menu has so many options~ Sashimi, pickled vegetables, crab, eel, and the ultimate luxury meal, Chateaubriand! The Chateaubriand is tender and juicy! It stays delicious even when it cools down. It's perfect for girls on a diet as you can get your protein from the fish and vegetables.

■ Situation of the day
Early February, Saturday. Reserved for 7:40 pm and visited with two people. This time, we requested the counter on the 4th floor. The same building has a store on the 1st floor, and there is also a store on the 3rd floor inside the building. The 4th floor on this day was full of both table and counter seats. The chef handed over the appetizer to the staff outside the counter, and the meal started.
■ Dishes ordered on this day
* Chef's choice @ 15,000 yen
I completely thought I had ordered the course meal when making the reservation, but the chef asked, "What about the dishes?" I remembered that I was told it was okay to order on the day, so I thought it would be better to have a course meal than to order a la carte on the paper in front of me. When I said "course," he said, "There are 12,000 yen and 15,000 yen," so naturally, in front of the customer, I chose the 15,000 yen course. This also became a funny story with the customer, and having a meal while chatting with other customers at the counter is unique to Osaka. Please refer to the photos for the dishes. It follows the typical flow of Japanese cuisine. The most impressive was the grilled fugu shirako. I have had this before at other places, but the fluffy and creamy texture with a fragrant aroma was exquisite. Also, the sashimi may look mixed in the photos, but the dish with the mild white fish wrapped in rich sea urchin was outstanding. The unsalted mackerel sashimi was also delicious without any fishy smell. Each dish was meticulously prepared, and the enjoyable interaction with the amiable chef was fun. We stayed a bit too long, and the restaurant was quiet at the end. Sorry about that. The sake was also delicious~.

I was taken to a Michelin one-star Japanese restaurant in Shinsaibashi by a friend. My friend recommended ordering dishes a la carte. The appetizers were elegant and the flavors of the ingredients were delicious. The salad, gratin, tempura, and eel were all delicious, especially the thick and firm eel. The meat was incredibly tender and made me happy. However, everyone didn't like the steamed egg custard. The matsutake mushroom rice cooked in a clay pot was too delicious, and even though I was already full, I ended up having three servings. My friend was disappointed that only the miso soup wasn't tasty, but I enjoyed it. For dessert, there was a pudding ice cream similar to creme brulee, which was sweet and delicious. Each dish highlighted the quality of the ingredients, and it was truly a delightful dining experience.
