This is my first time posting on Tabelog, even though I've visited this place many times. I usually go for the "Chaccha Shoyu" ramen, but this time I decided to try the miso ramen. I always order my noodles firm, and this time was no exception. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the rich and thick soup was delicious. Instead of grated garlic, they provide whole cloves for you to crush yourself. I added two cloves and it was just perfect.笑

Before going to Goryokaku Park, we stopped by this restaurant for a meal. It has a prime location visible from the station, and during lunchtime, it's so popular that you might have to wait in line to be seated. I don't usually eat miso, but when it comes to Hokkaido, I think of miso or salt, so I decided to try it here. I ordered miso ramen and chashu rice bowl! The interior of the restaurant is filled with a savory miso aroma, haha. Finally, the dishes arrived. I took a sip of the soup and let out a sigh, haha. This miso ramen is completely different from any I've had before... incredibly delicious! The richness is off the charts. The chashu is also seared perfectly, doing a great job, haha. The chashu rice bowl is also delicious, with a sweet and savory sauce seasoning the rice, making it very appetizing, haha. Sprinkling some bonito flakes on top added a nice accent. The noodles are the characteristic yellow noodles of Hokkaido, and they mix well with the soup. Hokkaido really is a treasure trove of delicious food.

I went to Ichimonji Kameda Honcho store near JR Goryokaku Station. I ordered the popular miso ramen and the recommended salt ramen. The ramen here reflects the owner's dedication, with the grilled chashu being exquisite, and the spinach in the salt ramen adding a gentle touch. Additionally, the miso ramen comes with three cloves of raw garlic on a separate plate, which you can crush yourself using a grinding machine. The miso ramen has a nostalgic taste, with the garlic and soup blending together to create a delicious flavor. It leaves a very good impression with its taste.

This is a ramen restaurant in front of Goryokaku Station in Hakodate, which is now considered a long-established store. The parking lot may be a bit difficult to enter and exit, as it is next to the Oobayashi parking lot. I was craving salt, so I had the miso ramen for 890 yen. The chashu had a surprisingly smoky flavor, and the soup was sprinkled with white sesame seeds.

Visited for lunch on Monday. It is located near JR Goryokaku Station. Entered the restaurant before 12 o'clock. Was greeted by the ticket machine right away. I had no idea what to order and was looking at the menu when a customer came in behind me. This is the most troublesome situation. Since it's Hakodate, salt ramen is a good choice, but I decided to go with the No. 1, miso ramen (890 yen). The side dishes were all 400 yen, which seemed pricey, so I settled for the pan-fried dumplings (3 pieces) for 270 yen. Sat at the counter seat at the back of the restaurant with a view of the whole place. There was one group of customers with 2 people already inside. The staff consisted of the manager and one female server. The ramen arrived in 10 minutes. It had a plain appearance. The soup was a reddish-brown color with seaweed, chashu, half an egg, menma, and green onions partially submerged in it, giving it a rather plain look. The soup was just your average miso ramen soup, nothing special. The noodles were also ordinary, thin straight noodles. They were good. The menma and seaweed were average as well. The chashu was thick and tender, having been simmered for a while. I squeezed a clove of garlic for a change in flavor. It's been a while since I used this garlic press. The gyoza also arrived. Three large pan-fried dumplings. There was chili oil and soy sauce on the table, but no vinegar. I had to make do with soy sauce, chili oil, and pepper. They were also just average. More customers started coming in and the restaurant was almost full. The sticky floor was a bit of a concern, but I managed to finish my meal. It was just an ordinary lunch. I headed to Goryokaku Station in search of a certain shop, not the streetcar station but the JR Goryokaku Station. Sometimes tourists get confused between the two stations. Actually, near this station, there was a certain shop that I was planning to visit, but it seemed to be closed (though I was able to visit it later). So, I was thinking about what to do, and then I noticed this ramen shop right nearby, so I decided to stop by. The payment was done through food tickets. It's located on the left side of the entrance, but I didn't notice it at first. I ordered miso ramen with a large portion of rice and a bottle of beer, which cost around 1700 yen (I forgot the exact price as there were no remaining tickets). I took a seat at the counter and enjoyed my beer while waiting for my order. When the ramen arrived, I tried it. The flavor was quite rich, and the rice complemented it well. The medium-thick curly noodles provided a satisfying texture. The chashu was tender, and there were also egg, green onions, and bamboo shoots. Honestly, I felt like adding something more. I wished they served white rice with this type of ramen, but I was glad I ordered it separately! Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy my meal heartily. I finished eating in no time, and overall, I think it was a well-balanced miso ramen. Despite the strong flavor, it was easy to eat. That was the impression I got. Tourists don't usually come to this area, right? I thought it might be a shop loved by locals. Thank you for the meal.

Visited with two colleagues for the first time in about a year on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. I had the miso ramen (large) and my colleague had the spicy miso ramen (large). The miso ramen was quite rich and flavorful, and I think it would have been nice to have it with rice as well, not just the large portion. I was happy that the ramen came with an egg by default. My colleague also enjoyed the spicy miso ramen and kept saying how delicious it was. Overall, both the miso and spicy miso ramen were tasty. Thank you for the meal! (^_^)

I aimed for a nearby curry restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed, so I visited "Hakodate Menya Ichimon Kameda Honcho Store (Hakodate Kameda Honcho Goryokaku Station Store)" with a rating of 3.22 as of July 24, 2022. There was a ticket machine at the entrance... hmm, I'm not sure what to choose! I had the miso ramen labeled as No.1 and a ponpochi torisoboro bowl for a total of 1,290 yen. Of course, I finished the ramen soup as well. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! I will definitely visit Hakodate Menya Ichimon Kameda Honcho Store again!

I ordered the Spicy Tantan Men for 850 yen and 3 dumplings for 240 yen. I was expecting the Spicy Tantan Men to be spicy, but it was not very spicy. It had a nice sesame flavor and the medium-thick curly noodles complemented it well, making it delicious. The dumplings were a bit on the larger side, filled with plenty of ingredients, and very tasty.

One-Monji is a great sushi restaurant in Hakodate, competing with the top ones. While Hakodate is known for its salt ramen, I recommend the black ramen at this place. They offer miso, salt, and soy sauce ramen, but the black ramen seems to be unique to this place. Today I tried the rich black soy sauce ramen with plenty of pork bone broth and soy sauce. It's very salty, but it's a good source of salt, especially in the summer. It's easy to drink, which is nice. I'll definitely come back.

At the end of the year, on a cold day, I visited this place in search of something warm. It was crowded with solo diners and families, and I had to wait a bit for a seat (which got me excited!). Panda ordered the Shrimp and Chicken Wonton Salt Ramen, as he loves wontons. Capybara surprised us by choosing the Spicy Dan Dan Noodles. The wontons were not to Panda's liking (the skin was sticky and the filling seemed to have cartilage, not his preference), but the charred flavor of the chashu in the soup was delicious. The regular salt ramen part was also tasty. Next time, he'll order it without wontons. Surprisingly, the Dan Dan Noodles were really good. They were much tastier than they looked. They were not too spicy, well-balanced, hot, and delicious throughout the meal. Definitely worth a repeat visit. It was quite a bustling place, and the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

On August 13, 2021, I visited a ramen shop in Hakodate, which is one of the places I often hear about. At dinner time, about half of the customers were there. I tried the Chachabura Black (rich soy sauce) ramen with added lard, which had a sweet and mild soup with a firm noodle texture that was a bit like al dente pasta. It had a unique taste but was delicious. I might visit the famous main shop next time to try their lard soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Had lunch at a ramen shop in front of Goryokaku Station. They have counter seats. The menu is rich, from salt to miso, and tonkotsu, but I chose the salt tonkotsu ramen for 850 yen. It was a safe and delicious choice. The tender chashu was tasty.

During my trip to Hakodate, I went out for shopping and ended up driving around in a rental car when I realized it was lunchtime. I was looking for a place where I could park my car and have a meal, and that's when I stumbled upon this restaurant. I parked my car in the parking lot and entered the restaurant. The interior was long and narrow, with table seating and counter seating. I chose to sit at the counter. The menu was divided into "light" and "rich" categories. Under "light," there were salt ramen and soy sauce ramen, while under "rich," there were mainly miso ramen. When in Hakodate, I thought of salt ramen, so I was a bit hesitant with other options, but I ended up ordering the salt ramen. The salt ramen had a slightly oily surface. When I tasted the soup, it was light but packed with the umami of tonkotsu and had a good depth of flavor. The thin noodles absorbed the soup well and made it easy to eat. The white leeks occasionally tangled with the noodles, adding a nice touch, and I finished it in no time. It was a quite robust salt ramen.

While traveling, asked a taxi driver for a recommendation for a delicious ramen shop. Despite some risk, the locals know best. The main branch in Yunokawa is known for long lines, so opted for the station-front shop, which was relatively quiet. Chose the salt ramen without hesitation. Hmm, it's a bit bland. Otherwise, everything was average. The parking lot had many out-of-town license plates, and there were chairs for waiting in line, suggesting it's a popular spot. Later, went to a nearby burger joint and found a long queue, but that's a different story.

Today we are in Hakodate. I wanted to eat salt ramen, so I asked my local friends for recommendations and chose this place based on Tabelog reviews. We were lucky to get a seat after a short wait. I was thinking I wanted to try the spicy miso ramen, but my husband insisted that since we are in Hakodate, we should go for the salt ramen. So, I ordered the shrimp and chicken salt ramen with wontons! Each of us ordered something different. My salt ramen was delicious, but I still wished I had tried the spicy miso ramen. My family thought the salt ramen I had was the best. Well, I must say, it was indeed one of the most delicious salt ramen I've had. In the end, it seems like sticking with the salt ramen was the right choice after all! That's how it turned out.

I chose the miso ramen recommended by the Kameda Honda-cho store, as the main store was unexpectedly under renovation. It was a delicious taste that removed the preconception that one character is salt ramen.
