A cafe hidden in the forest. They offer a variety of homemade cakes, including cookies for sale. The cafe also has a lunch menu available. The lodge-style cafe makes you feel like you've become a little person.

Please refrain from taking photos inside the restaurant, so I will not be posting any pictures of the food. After visiting the restaurant "Ishinoya" in Fumoto, where we bought some melons and watermelons, we started our journey back home with a companion who required three meals a day. Worried that we might have to eat something at the roadside station, I suddenly spotted a lunch sign a few kilometers before reaching the station. I quickly made a U-turn, much to the dismay of my companion, and we headed to Atelier Cafe Restaurant Jinkiru. It was past 2 pm, and luckily there was one table available, so we took off our shoes, put on slippers, and sat down. My companion chose the chicken curry lunch set (there was also omelette curry) with a drink and salad for 1180 yen, while I opted for the potato pizza set with a drink and salad for the same price. We both chose iced cafe au lait. The dishes were on the smaller side, suitable for those with smaller appetites. The potato pizza had a high potato content on a small pizza base, generously topped with cheese and served with a green salad on a wooden plate. The iced cafe au lait was delicious, with a dollop of whipped cream on top. My companion, who initially seemed unimpressed with the cafe, seemed to enjoy the meal, indicating satisfaction with the taste. I also noticed they sell cakes at the Minami-Furano roadside station. Despite being a bit pricey, the atmosphere and experience made it worth it. Thank you for the meal.

I missed it while driving normally and had to come back to find it. If you are conscious of "the place for putting on chains" and look for a small sign, you'll be fine (laughs). I ordered the pasta lunch set and the potato pizza lunch set. Unfortunately, both were disappointing. The potato pizza was very small (about 10cm in diameter), more like a snack. The pasta was also small in portion and the taste was just average. The salad was bite-sized, not really a set. And all of this for over 1000 yen. The curry at other tables seemed to have a decent portion, so if you're going for lunch, that might be better. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice, so it might be good for taking a break while enjoying some cake instead of lunch.

<location>From the Michi-no-Eki "Minami-Furano" along Route 38, head towards Furano for about 800m and you will see a two-story drive-in called "Iku-ra" on the right side. Go towards the back of that building and you will see a forest, where you can find "Ninguru" further back. There is a small sign along the road, but it is easy to miss if you are not paying attention. Coming from the direction of Furano, you will see it right after passing Yama-be and crossing the Jukai-toge (Sanno-yama-toge). <car park> There are a few dedicated parking spaces facing the forest behind the drive-in "Iku-to" along the national highway. It is said that complaints may be received if you park in the front of the drive-in unknowingly. <shop> A two-story building serving as both a residence and a shop stands quietly in the back of the forest. The owner found this place 15 years ago and renovated the building themselves, even making the shop sign with a chainsaw. Upon entering, you take off your shoes and put on slippers. The cozy interior features original T-shirts, handmade ocarinas by the owner who is also a ceramic artist, and you can even experience making your own original T-shirt, bandana, and ocarina for 3500 yen with delivery available. <food> The handmade menu includes pizza, gratin, curry, pasta, omelets, hamburgers, cakes, and drinks. We ordered the "Omelet Curry," a collaboration of curry that took three days to prepare and a fluffy omelet, and the "Potato Pizza." The lunch set comes with a vegetable salad and a drink, and for an additional 250 yen, it can be upgraded to a cake set. <hospitality> We asked the owner why they chose to start a shop here, and they replied, "Where to do it is up to the person's way of thinking." Despite the challenging location in the outskirts of Ikutora, where the temperature can drop below -20°C in winter and only about one out of a hundred cars passing by may notice the shop, the owner chose this place as the ideal location to express their thoughts and feelings. By the end of the meal, we began to understand the charm of this place and why it was chosen. <credit> Cash payment <revisit> Would love to visit again.

A small wooden sign can be seen a few hundred meters down Route 38 from the road station in Naka-Furano towards Furano. That's where you'll find a café restaurant in the woods! The sign is really small, so be sure not to miss it. From the parking lot, follow the forest path to the entrance. Inside the restaurant, the floor is covered and you'll need to take off your shoes and change into slippers. There's a small picture book corner, and outside the window is nothing but forest. The ceiling is covered with letters and postcards addressed to the owner couple. There are photos and picture books of forest fairies placed around, creating a mysterious atmosphere. But it's also very calming. Once you place your order, be prepared to wait a bit. Each dish is made to order, so it may take some time. This is a restaurant worth visiting when you have some time to spare. The curry, slow-cooked to perfection, is delicious and served in stylish dishes. The homemade fluffy cakes are also highly recommended. They also sell handmade ocarinas, and you can even make your own.

I went with a friend. The shop was small like a mountain hut, filled with handmade goods, craft materials, and unfinished projects. We didn't get bored even during the wait. My friend had a white sauce pizza, while I had a banana crumble cake. The pizza looked a bit small, but it tasted great. The cake was okay, nothing special. I was looking forward to handmade dishes, but the tea cup was just a plain white one, which was a bit disappointing. The plates for the pizza and cake were handmade though. The shop was cute, but it felt a bit pricey.

If coming from Furano City, the restaurant is just before the Michi-no-Eki (roadside station). The sign on the road is small, so it's easy to miss. The road is good, so be careful on the left side while driving. The pasta with shrimp and tomato (forgot the exact name) was rich and had a fresh taste, thanks to the ripe tomatoes. The creamy tomato sauce was delicious and unique. The plump shrimp added to the satisfaction. However, it may not be filling enough for men. The restaurant is surrounded by trees and has a homemade feel with lots of love. The lovely atmosphere extends to the garden as well.

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago. I saw it in a magazine and thought it looked delicious, so I drove there in my car. It is located further into the depths of Furano, quietly nestled in the forest. If you're not careful, you might miss the sign. It's a small, log cabin-like shop made of wood. There doesn't seem to be a designated parking lot, so I just parked between the trees haha. I ordered the omu curry. The egg was deliciously runny, and it tasted different from regular curry. The big plate it came on was cute. When I went, there was only one person handling both the cooking and serving, so it took a while for the food to come out. I think they have a lot of knick-knacks in the store to keep customers entertained during the wait. I liked the cozy, homemade feel of the curry and the quiet atmosphere, so I would love to go back if I have the chance. I'd like to try their pizza next time. This restaurant has stayed in my memory all this time.

We were planning to ski on the second day at Minamifurano Sahoro Road Station, but the weather changed drastically with strong winds despite the clear sky. Feeling discouraged, we decided to head back via Furano and stop by the road station in Minamifurano. We were surprised to find a store called "Ninguru" that we didn't see in our research. My wife suggested buying chocolate cookies, so that was settled. As she shopped, I made a list of our purchases. However, I couldn't remember what we bought and was puzzled by some coffee beans. It turned out we accidentally bought ground coffee beans. Although it was unexpected, the coffee had a complex taste similar to Geisha coffee. It was a bit different but still enjoyable.
