As the name suggests, this dish features an omelette (with white rice) nestled in curry roux, topped with a crispy cutlet. The omelette is not particularly creamy, just a regular one. The cutlet has a crunchy coating and tender meat that is easy to eat, even for a 51-year-old man without causing heartburn. The curry roux is quite delicious, with a moderate level of spiciness and a rich flavor. It's not bitter or sour, just a classic curry with a good depth of flavor. I thought it might be a commercial product, but I was told it's homemade curry. It was a lucky surprise to enjoy such unexpectedly delicious curry.

"On the 4th day of my solo trip with the 2021 Hokkaido Love! 6-Day Tour Pass, Hokkaido was hit by a storm. I checked online in the morning and found out that the Kushiro Line and Hanasaki Line were suspended, but it seemed like the limited express trains were still running. Hmm, what should I do? After much deliberation, I decided to go for it! (* ̄0 ̄)/ Yeah!! Departed from Sapporo at 8:51 ⇒ Arrived in Kushiro at 13:20 on Limited Express Oozora No. 3. I had planned to get off at Shin-Toku and Obihiro, but since I didn't know what would happen with the connecting train, I decided to go straight to my destination for the day. Arrived in Kushiro 15 minutes late. I walked to MOO in the storm. I should have taken a taxi. The wind was so strong that the umbrella was useless, and although the rain wasn't that bad, my shoes were soaked. I made it to MOO and had lunch. There were a few open restaurants where you could eat and drink, but where should I go? I found a beer set! This is it! It was Wednesday at 2 pm. One customer was already there, and no one came after me. The restaurant had an open space with tables and chairs lined up. I ordered a draft beer and smoked chicken set for 1,000 yen. Sapporo Classic in a mug. I'm glad I arrived safely. Cheers to a safe arrival alone! ■ヾ(^-^*) The smoked chicken was plentiful, with a light smoky smell. Lots of protein. I was happy to see the leafy vegetables on the side. I wanted to have another beer, but I restrained myself because I wanted to check into the hotel and take a bath afterwards. Stayed for 45 minutes. Paid 1,000 yen. Ah, I want to dry my shoes quickly!! Off to the hotel! (* ̄0 ̄)/ Yeah!!"

I went to the Smokehouse for the first time! I'm at MOO looking around for something good. Oh? I stop at the sausage shop. They have handmade ham, bacon, and sausages. There are several delicious-looking options. Oh? Is this a sample? They were made very well (laughs). I'll have the coarse-ground sausage, please. Is this okay from the fridge? The man asks. 6 pieces, 227g, 839 yen. It's quite a luxury item. I'll have it in a few days. Cook it thoroughly. Oh! It's quite firm in texture. Hmm, it tastes good. The flavor is concentrated. Of course, it's smoked too. It was a delicious sausage (^_^) Thank you for the meal.

On Saturday, I had the day off and decided to go to a restaurant that my partner had been curious about, MOO. I ordered the pork cutlet set, while my partner got the sausage and ham spaghetti. The restaurant overlooks the Kushiro River, which is quite calming to look at. The dishes arrived soon after. My partner's spaghetti had tomato sauce with ham, bacon, and sausage, and it looked delicious. My pork cutlet set came with a side of basil pasta and potatoes. The demi-glace sauce was light and complemented the meat well. The pork cutlet was crispy and tasty, and the potatoes were crunchy, which I liked. The pasta had a garlic aroma that made it appetizing. The rice was yellow, possibly saffron or turmeric, and was firm. I tried some of my partner's sausage, ham, and bacon, and it was delicious. Maybe I'll try the pasta next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Visited on March 21, 2019. The shop we were interested in was still closed, so my companion and I decided to kill time. The shop is located on the first floor of MOO, which we usually pass by. It looks like a supermarket food court, but their specialty is smoked products such as sausages and bacon. The name of the shop reflects this. We sat at a table and observed a customer enjoying pasta, which made us tempted to order some as well. Feeling hungry, we ordered: - Cafe au lait for 450 yen - Coffee for 380 yen The coffee had neither bitterness nor acidity, it could be described as weak coffee. Even my companion, who doesn't like coffee, said it was drinkable in black. The cafe au lait didn't have a strong milk flavor, but it seemed to intensify towards the end. We wondered if it had settled at the bottom. Since we only ordered drinks this time, we look forward to trying their pasta or curry on our next visit.

I'm in Kushiro alone today, as my wife is working late. When she's not around, I embark on a journey to conquer all the ramen shops in Kushiro. I didn't mean to say "I'm going to Kushiro," as my wife asked me to bring back bacon because she liked the bacon from a certain place. So, I bought bacon from the "Smokehouse" inside MOO, a place that smoked meat lovers would adore. The shopkeeper handed me four pieces of bacon from the fridge, and even though I couldn't see them clearly, I just picked one and it turned out to be quite expensive. Is it the same in Kitami too? I was looking forward to what they would turn into, but it ended up being pasta. I ordered "Peperoncino with dried spinach, mushrooms, and bacon," and although I wanted to eat it without cheese, I ended up sprinkling some on top. Regardless, it was delicious with a strong garlic and chili flavor, complemented by mushrooms and my favorite dried spinach. The bacon, boasting its smokiness, stood out in the dish. It was undeniably tasty.

It was called Omukatsu Curry, a dish with thinly rolled egg like an omelette on top of white rice, topped with tonkatsu and plenty of curry sauce. It was my first time in Kushiro, and I was looking forward to trying the famous Kattedon in front of the station, but I didn't know they were closed on Sundays. Feeling hungry and a bit lost, I stumbled upon MOO, which was still open even after 2 pm. I hadn't researched in advance, so I didn't know it was a famous ham and bacon restaurant, but I was drawn to the delicious-looking samples and ended up ordering the curry with omelette and tonkatsu on top. The restaurant was almost empty around 3 pm, and I could hear the satisfying sounds of frying tonkatsu and cooking eggs, which got me even more excited. They served Fukujinzuke separately, and I couldn't help but cheer silently in my head. I don't dislike Fukujinzuke, but I don't like it mixed with curry, as it turns some rice red and makes parts of the curry too sweet. At that moment, I was convinced that this restaurant takes pride in their flavors and must be delicious. The tonkatsu, curry, and egg were all delicious even when eaten together. The curry was not too spicy but had a hint of spiciness without being too sweet, a well-balanced flavor. As expected, no, even better than expected, it was a delicious dish. It was a lovely encounter with a great restaurant due to an unexpected accident, and it became a wonderful memory of my trip to Kushiro. If I ever go back to Kushiro, I will definitely plan to visit this restaurant from the beginning and try the sausages next time.

"When I said I was going to Kushiro, I was told to buy bacon. When I asked where to buy it, the response was vague. Eventually, I found a store at Mu Market, but they didn't have prices listed. I asked the staff and ended up buying 230g of bacon for 470 yen. My wife decided not to use it for carbonara because of its strong smoky flavor. Instead, she made a delicious dish with spinach. The bacon was of good quality and tasted great. Overall, it was a satisfying purchase."

I went to a restaurant for lunch, but it was closed, so I ended up going to this place called "Smokehouse" instead. It's located on the 1st floor of Fisherman's Wharf MOO. It seems to be mostly visited by tourists, as locals rarely come here unless there's a special event. I also wouldn't come here unless I had a reason to. But, out of all the places in MOO, this seems to be the most popular. I always order the Sausage Omelette Curry for 900 yen. The curry is just right in spiciness and the rice is saffron rice. The fluffy omelette and homemade spicy sausage are delicious. There's plenty of curry sauce, almost not enough rice. I'm glad I came here after all. See you again soon!

This is a café located on the first floor of Fisherman's Wharf MOO. While looking for souvenirs other than seafood, I found a shop selling homemade sausages. I was drawn to the fact that the meat ingredients are sourced locally in Hokkaido, so I decided to buy some sausages. I purchased the coarsely ground sausage made with beef and pork, but they also had other varieties such as tofu sausage, bacon, and smoked chicken. When I got home, I grilled the sausages without slicing them and tried them. They had a simple and rustic flavor. Next time I visit, I would like to try the tofu sausage.

I tried the lunch, pasta, and sausage here, but I was unsure about the soup curry so I decided to order it. The vegetable salad came out first and it was fresh. The salad was crisp, fresh, and clean, meeting the basic requirements. The soup curry arrived with ingredients like bell peppers, carrots, pumpkin, lotus root, and pumpkin and lotus root were deep-fried. There was only half a sausage (stingy!), one chicken leg, and half a boiled egg. The rice was saffron rice with a slightly undercooked core. You can choose between hot or cold coffee and oolong tea for drinks. Now, onto the main point, the soup curry. Firstly, there was hardly any aroma of spices. The curry soup lacked depth and flavor. The chicken leg would have been tastier if it had been grilled to make the skin crispy. I hope they study Sapporo-style soup curry a bit more.
