Thanks to being featured on a TV program, this local Chinese restaurant has seen an increase in customers. They take pride in making their own dishes, with their shumai using salmon for a unique flavor. Their dumplings and spring rolls are also delicious and reasonably priced. The ankake yakisoba is tasty, and personally, I think their fried rice is worth trying too. Of course, their ramen is perfect for finishing off the meal! The owner's personality adds to the charm of this already thriving local Chinese restaurant.

During the pandemic, I couldn't visit this place right after it opened. But when I saw the lights from the train, I suddenly felt hungry and decided to go. The chef remembered me well. I had beer and gyoza, then ordered another bottle of beer with soy sauce ramen. Ah, the taste here always makes me feel at ease... I left fully satisfied and headed home.

This place has been around for quite a while. I was curious about it, but because of its location, I thought it was a place for drunks, so I wasn't really interested in going. But I decided to give it a try. I ordered the pork thinly sliced meat with sauce yakisoba, which is basically yakisoba with pork and sauce, priced at 930 yen for a large serving. It seemed a bit expensive! The noodles didn't seem boiled, and when I saw them being cooked, they looked more like steamed noodles. The dish arrived and the noodles had a nice charred color, with some parts crispy which was good. However, it seemed like they used pre-made steamed noodles. It would have been better if they boiled the noodles, drained them properly, and then cooked them. The sauce was firm and didn't get watery until the end, which was good, but the amount of ingredients seemed a bit lacking. The portion was decent because I ordered a large serving. The seasoning was on the lighter side, and personally, I prefer a sweeter and saltier taste, so this was just okay for me. After finishing the meal, instead of feeling like "That was delicious! Let's go again!", I felt more like "Why did I come here...?". However, I am curious about their fried rice, so I might give it one more try. If the fried rice turns out to be terrible, then...

Ankake yakisoba with five toppings for 820 yen. There happened to be a site for just one day, right in front of the parking lot, which I had been curious about for a while, so I visited for the first time with a colleague. Despite looking rich, the taste was light. It suited my preference. If I have the chance, I would like to try a different menu next time. Thank you for the meal.

Crab Ankake Yakisoba for 820 yen and draft beer for 480 yen (with a 100 yen appetizer)★ Located near JR Nopporo Station in a building with a snack bar on the 1st floor, the yellow exterior of this Chinese restaurant stands out in the town. The atmosphere has a nice down-to-earth feel. It's in a drinking district, but having two parking spaces available is convenient. The interior is long and narrow with a counter and a small raised seating area in the back. It seems like it used to be a small izakaya. I went there for a meal, but the atmosphere made me want to drink. I ordered a classic draft beer for 480 yen. The appetizer was curry-flavored potato salad for 100 yen. The menu focuses on ankake dishes with unique options like lemon salt and curry, but I'm not one for adventures. I debated between shrimp and crab and ended up ordering the Crab Ankake Yakisoba. The chef started cooking with a bang, handling the cooking utensils with force. The dish had crab meat in a salty ankake sauce with a strong seafood broth. I asked for the crab to be more pronounced, but unfortunately, it wasn't very crabby. For the same price, the shrimp option might be better. The flavor was mild and the salt level was just right. The noodles were cooked perfectly, crispy and crunchy. The texture was really good. I think I'll try the spicy ramen next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This is a restaurant that serves ankake yakisoba and ramen, but they also have a variety of appetizers and dim sum. However, the main attraction is the ankake yakisoba, so I decided to order the curry ankake yakisoba, which is not commonly found in other restaurants. While soy sauce or salt flavored ankake yakisoba can be found in many Chinese restaurants, curry flavor is quite rare. Ordering curry flavor was a bold move, like a fluorescent light deathmatch for ankake yakisoba. Next, I will gather my courage and ask if they can make the curry ankake yakisoba half and half.

Bottled beer and gyoza make for a classic light drinking combo, don't you think? Haha. As a middle-aged person who looks like they were born to drink like this, from the outside it must be...haha. Bottled beer and gyoza. It shouldn't taste bad. It's delicious! And it's homemade. Well, time to head home...haha.

On my way home after work, past 10 PM... I saw a ramen feature online and couldn't resist. I thought, "Simple but full of flavor," when I tried the soy sauce ramen. The visual appeal was just right for me! I'll definitely go back again.笑笑

On a certain weekday in Ebetsu, I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant located in front of Nopporo Station. The parking lot is secured for 2 cars in a monthly parking lot across the street from the station. The interior of the restaurant is designed like an izakaya, with 7 counter seats and a raised seating area in the back. The background music is playing on an AM radio. From the menu on that day, I was intrigued by the "Lemon Salt Ramen (850 yen)" as a summer limited menu, so I ordered the thin noodles instead of the medium ones. After a while, it was ready. Wow, it looked quite unique and I got excited! So, I took a bite... Wow, lemon! The noodles were thin and had a firm texture. The soup, which intertwined with the thin noodles, had a subtle lemon flavor, maybe based on chicken broth? It had a refreshing and light taste with the addition of lemon. The toppings included seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onions, and shredded char siu. I personally don't mind lemon, so I ate all the lemon slices, about 11 pieces. I realized that I had tried a unique lemon slice ramen, and they even had lemon yakisoba with salt sauce, which I look forward to trying in the future. It was a delightful experience. Thank you for the meal.

Second visit. I was feeling a bit hungry and thought about getting ramen, but I wasn't in the mood for it. I realized I've been enjoying salt yakisoba lately, so I came here to try it. I heard that yakisoba is more popular here than ramen. I ordered the "Shrimp Salt Yakisoba" for 800 yen. It's not too sweet, which is good, but the salt flavor was a bit too weak. I like light flavors, but this was a bit too much. The noodles were crispy and cooked just right, so they were delicious. Thank you for the meal (^o^)

I had spicy soy sauce ramen. It cost 750 yen and looked red and spicy, but it wasn't actually that spicy. Maybe it could have been spicier. It was a delicious bowl.

Three days after the earthquake, power and water have finally been restored in Nopporo. I passed by this restaurant and decided to give it a try since it was empty. The specialty seems to be ankake yakisoba and ramen. I ordered the thinly sliced pork ankake yakisoba. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is a bit messy, but the kitchen area looks clean. The yakisoba was handed to me from the counter, and I took a bite of the noodles from the sauce. Hmm, it's greasy. The flavor of the noodles doesn't come through, and the sauce is also greasy. Unfortunately, as expected, the quality was disappointing.

I went to a Chinese restaurant near Nopporo Station for the second installment of my journey to try out different Anka-style yakisoba dishes. I ordered the Gomoku Anka Yakisoba (800 yen) and waited eagerly for it to arrive. When it finally came, it looked appetizing with a variety of ingredients such as pork, squid, shrimp, Chinese cabbage, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, bok choy, bamboo shoots, and quail eggs. The noodles were medium thickness from Nishiyama Seimen and had a nice char to them, but they were a bit too soft for my liking. Now, onto the issue of the sauce... There was not enough starch, so it quickly turned into a soup-like consistency. I ended up eating the yakisoba while sipping on the soup with a spoon. It was far from being a proper Anka-style dish. I couldn't finish all the soup in the end. Well, that's how it goes. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant near Nopporo Station that had a sign saying "Ankake Yakisoba and Ramen Shop" and it caught my attention. The interior of the restaurant has a few seats at the counter and a slightly raised seating area in the back. Looking at the menu, besides ramen, they also offer various ankake yakisoba and donburi dishes as their main items. Surprisingly, there was also Chinese cuisine listed on the back of the menu. There were five different types of ankake yakisoba and six types of donburi dishes with ankake sauce. I was intrigued by options like curry ankake, but I ended up ordering the standard Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba for 800 yen. It had ingredients such as pork, squid, shrimp, Chinese cabbage, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and chingensai, topped with a quail egg. The noodles were Chinese style, pan-fried on one side, giving a crispy and chewy texture. I would like to try the curry Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba if I have the chance. They also offer a "choinomi" set from 17:30 to 19:30, where you can get a dish and a drink for an additional 200 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^~^)

Visited for the first time on September 18, 2016, for the 166th time this year. The second stop of the day. After almost finishing my meal at Fuyuto, I decided to try a place a bit further away. I often pass by this ramen shop, but I couldn't find the parking lot. Today, I stopped in front of the shop with my hazard lights on and asked the owner for directions. It turns out the parking lot is a bit far away. I parked my car where I was instructed and walked for about 40 seconds. There were no other customers inside. The shop mainly has a counter and seems to operate more like an izakaya at night. I ordered the miso ramen. The owner runs the shop alone, and he seems very kind. The noodles are cooked in a pot, which is a bit different from typical ramen shops. Water is self-service, but the owner kindly brought me some hot jasmine tea. I like jasmine tea, so I appreciated the gesture. I sipped on the tea while waiting for my ramen. After about 10 minutes, the ramen arrived! It looked simple, with no vegetables. Let's start with the soup. The soup is light and has sesame floating on top. It's not very rich, and I felt it was a bit lacking. I chose medium-thick noodles, which are cooked al dente. The noodles don't soak up much of the soup. The noodles themselves are good, though. The toppings include bamboo shoots, thin slices of pork, green onions, and seaweed. The pork slices were thin and not very flavorful. The seaweed dissolved quickly in the soup, so I thought it might be better to eat the ramen without it. I finished the noodles and toppings but couldn't drink much of the soup. This shop may not be a ramen specialty shop, so my expectations might have been too high. This light soup might be a good match for those looking for a ramen to end their night of drinking in Nopporo. It was tasty! Thank you for the meal!

A new late-night Chinese restaurant opened in front of Nopporo Station, so I went there for a year-end party. The sign said that their specialty was ramen and yakisoba. I arrived on a Saturday night after 9pm, and there was only one customer. It wasn't very crowded due to the heavy snow outside. I decided to order the salt ramen, and the friendly owner asked me if I wanted thick noodles or thin noodles. I chose thick noodles, but in hindsight, thin noodles would have been better with the light soup. The soup was clear and not too salty, with a subtle chicken and vegetable flavor. I hope the restaurant does well and I look forward to trying their other dishes.

This place is located along Nopporo Station Street in Nopporo-cho, Ebetsu City, where there used to be a railroad crossing. If you want to know the exact location, as always, please check the map on Tabelog. I saw on Tabelog that a Chinese restaurant serving ramen has opened in Nopporo, so I was curious and decided to visit. I arrived by car but couldn't find a parking lot in front of the store, so I parked at a coin parking lot behind the store and walked to the restaurant. I sat at the available counter seat, looked at the menu again, and ordered the "Salt Ramen" with thin noodles, as usual. The owner strongly recommended the "Chashu Rice Ball," so I reluctantly ordered one. After 6-7 minutes, the "Chashu Rice Ball" appeared first, followed by the "Salt Ramen." First, I tried the soup, which was clear with a chicken bone base and had a lot of white sesame floating in it, and it was quite salty. Next was the noodles, which were medium-thin, curly noodles with a high water content, easy to slurp but in a small portion. Lastly, the toppings included chashu, menma, dried seaweed, white sesame, green onions, and had a simple composition, like the ramen you would have as a late-night meal at a drinking establishment. As for the "Chashu Rice Ball," it was a rice ball with Chinese-style seasoned rice and finely chopped chashu inside, but I wish it had been lightly warmed. Overall, it was not an authentic ramen but more like the kind you would have as a late-night meal at a Chinese restaurant or bar.

Ankake Yakisoba and Ramen restaurant "Chinatown Ran" opened on 5/3! Congratulations on the grand opening! It's located near Nopporo Station, which is easy to find. The area around Nopporo Station looks clean and organized due to the elevated tracks. When I arrived at 12:30, the restaurant was full, so I ran errands nearby and came back around 1:00. I was torn between ordering ramen or fried rice, but I chose the "Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba" as I was in the mood for it. The dish arrived quickly despite a short wait with two people ahead of me. It came on a large plate with a generous amount of toppings. The noodles had a nice char but were a bit too soft for my liking. They use noodles from Nishiyama Seimen. It was a satisfying and filling bowl that fulfilled my Ankake Yakisoba cravings. I will definitely come back to try their ramen next time. Address: 59-5 Nopporo Station, Ebetsu City Phone: 011-381-7167 Hours: Lunch 11:30-14:00, Dinner 17:30-23:00 Closed: Under consideration
