I arrived in Sapporo alone and immediately had some delicious ramen. After finishing my meal, I came across a place called "Nanairo Koubou." It seemed like a bento shop, but I was too lazy to go inside. Luckily, there was a vending machine outside selling items from Nanairo Koubou, and I decided to try the 500 yen white cabbage kimchi. It turned out to be a good deal as it was a generous portion of 500g for the price. The kimchi seemed freshly made with a good balance of sourness and spiciness. Although it initially seemed bland, after letting it sit for a while, the flavors improved significantly. I will definitely visit Nanairo Koubou again for their affordable and tasty kimchi.

Just up from the Nijuyonken Station is the "Nanairo Kobo" shop. They offer a variety of products such as fruits, pickles, eggs, soft serve ice cream, bento boxes, prepared dishes, and soybean processed products. There is also a dining area inside, but I didn't have the courage to go in. I was eyeing the items outside when a middle-aged female staff came out to assist me. I ended up buying some eggplants for 200 yen each. Looking at the sign, I realized that this shop is actually run by "Sakura Farm." Maybe I should avoid the pickles. The eggplants I bought were great for pickling. Thank you for the meal.

Around the Subway Nijūyonken Station. I came here thinking of buying some bread, but there was nothing, and there was nothing else I wanted... (^_^) I thought there would be various things, but it's just a nostalgic old-fashioned shop... Oh well, I'll just leave my footprint. I know it's Sujahta, but there's nothing else! I'll have Sujahta's matcha and maybe eat in. I didn't really understand the concept of this store, but there were a few side dishes, sweets that seemed to last a while, kelp, dressing, etc. There was soy sauce on the table. I wonder if I can eat tofu here? I'm not sure... The lady was kind and even prepared water for me, she was very friendly. Sujahta was just like always, Sujahta. I still don't really understand this store. It feels like it could be part of a mystery tour, but strangely, it was quite comfortable (^_^*) Thanks for the meal.

As a tofu lover, I was curious about this shop! The deep-fried tofu with green onion miso (227 yen) is perfect for a drinking snack, but I wish they had put more green onion miso in it. The okara (108 yen) is convenient to use, so I couldn't resist buying it. However, when I thought about it, it might have been more cost-effective to buy it at a nearby supermarket. When I actually visited the shop, I didn't find the tofu lineup particularly appealing... The baked sweet potatoes looked delicious! Although it was not as cost-effective as I expected, it might be convenient for the locals.

At the exit 2 of the 24ken Subway Station, turn right and take a few steps. There is a small storefront with vegetables and pickles displayed tightly. Red turnips, pickled radish, pickled herring, and more, all seem homemade. The prices are reasonable, so I bought a pickled herring. There was a sign saying "You can drink soy milk" in the back. When I expressed my interest in drinking soy milk, I was told to order and pay in the back, so I went inside. Inside the refrigerator, there were tofu, thick fried tofu, soy sauce, simmered black beans, a sign for coffee, and a menu for bento boxes. On the counter, there were side dishes displayed, with a sign saying "You can have sake." The small shop only had one four-person round table and two chairs. A regular customer was chatting with the owner. It felt like a nostalgic old general store in the countryside, with a table placed in a corner where the owner and local regulars chatted. (The person who welcomed me at first turned out to be a customer) I couldn't bring myself to say "I'll just go home" in this atmosphere, so I awkwardly asked about the soy milk. I also ended up buying some thick fried tofu. I was surprised by the amount of soy milk served in a glass that seemed larger than a medium drink. And with that, the review of the "like a grocery store but with soy milk, tofu, bento boxes, and maybe only open for lunch" restaurant is complete!

◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【3rd Post】 ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【May 2015】 This is my 2nd post, so I'll keep it light. Last year, the store relocated near the previous location. Here is my first review after the relocation. The product lineup hasn't changed much. They sell vegetables. I bought delicious looking "baked sweet potatoes" and the store's signature "yose tofu". ■ Baked Sweet Potato They bake it in the store. The sweet potato variety is "Beni Haruka". It's a sweet potato with a honey-like sweetness. It's delicious♪ Price: 1 piece for 300 yen (including 8% consumption tax) ■ Yose Tofu For details, please refer to my previous review Price: 298 yen (including 8% consumption tax) Best consumed on the same day for 200 yen (including 8% consumption tax) ■ Matcha Kinako Twist A nostalgic snack that goes well with tea Price: 380 yen (including 8% consumption tax) The new addition was the "baked sweet potato". The "Beni Haruka" is indeed sweet and delicious. It's a favorite of my usual companion♪ The "yose tofu" is consistently delicious. Since the "baked sweet potato" is so delicious, my usual companion strongly desires to visit again soon. (laughs) ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【2nd Post】 ◆◆◆◆◆◆ In October 2012, I visited the store. They had Tom...

I visited the restaurant for the first time after it moved in January 2016. It is located right next to Nijuhachiken Station, and it seems to be doing well in terms of sales due to its convenient location. I bought Kabanoanatake tea and organic Ethiopian coffee powder. It's not common to find Kabanoanatake tea sold in a PET bottle, so I decided to buy it to try it out since it is said to have various health benefits. It has no bitterness, a mild flavor, and I think I can continue drinking it. The PET bottle may be for some kind of recycling. The coffee was organic Ethiopian, slightly bitter but with a slightly weak flavor, making it easy to drink. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere made shopping easy.
I had some errands nearby in April 2014, and when I saw a sign saying they also sell bento boxes, I decided to stop by. It seemed like you could eat inside the store, but the atmosphere was a bit awkward for eating. The store's atmosphere was not bad, rather cozy and not unclean. I thought they mainly sold tofu products, but they also had fried foods. I decided to buy a bento box this time, thinking that if I bought tofu products at lunchtime, they might not be good by dinner. The bento box was quite ordinary for 430 yen. There was a sample without rice on display outside, but the lid was closed and it was hard to see due to the steam. The rice was a bit watery, but the taste was not bad. The oval-shaped fried food was larger than an egg and seemed to be made of okara. I like kinpira gobou, but the half-cooked egg had a strange taste... The potato salad was on the salty side. The fried chicken was mediocre, making it feel inferior to bento box chain stores. I didn't get to try the tofu I was looking for, but since it's supposed to change daily, I might buy it again if I have the chance.

In this area, I found a shop with delicious-looking donuts in the search hits, and I discovered an eat-in corner, so I hurriedly went there. I did not confirm the availability of a parking lot. Inside the shop, there were many healthy foods that made me excited. The background music playing was from FM radio. From the menu that day, I chose a few items from the showcase that caught my eye. "Fried donut (80 yen)" had a slightly fried dough with a hint of sweetness. "Anpan (140 yen)" had a long and relatively elastic bread-like dough with a good balance of sweet red bean paste. "Corn bread (180 yen)" had a fluffy and chewy dough filled with a lot of corn, with a nice touch of mayonnaise. "Coffee (200 yen)" was freshly brewed after ordering, with a refreshing acidity. The shop not only offers donuts and bread but also tofu-related and healthy foods. Thank you for the meal.

When eating out frequently, thoughts of vegetables come to mind. Somewhere in my head, I'm thinking I should eat some vegetables. This morning, I had pastries, coffee, and orange juice. For lunch, I had two rice balls, and for dessert, I chose a cake with lots of fruit. When I saw the words "soy milk" on the menu, I thought maybe if I drink this, I'll get some vegetables today. I'll have the soy milk, please. There's space to sit and drink it too. I got a big glass filled with it. The natural yeast bread also looked simple and delicious, so I'll take it home. This is the flat red bean bread from Yumepan. I was admiring the cute postcards on display when suddenly a heavy rain started. Oh no, I don't have an umbrella. Can I stay here until it stops raining? They kindly offered to lend me an umbrella. But I won't be able to return it. As I sipped on the soy milk, I watched the sky. The rain started to ease up a bit. Thank you for the meal. As I left, they pointed out that the subway entrance was to the left.

I read the reviews and decided to post my own. I only bought tofu, so I also got some baked donuts and bagels on a whim. The shop is located near Subway Nijuyonken, along a main street just a little off the market. There is also an eat-in space where you can enjoy soy milk and donuts.
[Soy Milk] 1 cup 200 yen
I had it on the spot, but of course, you can also get it to go. It was well chilled and easy to drink. It has a rich aroma and flavor from local soybeans.
[Mixed Tofu] 200g 290 yen
This tofu is made using two types of local soybeans. It's made by a trendy tofu shop in Shiroishi. It uses foaming and coagulating agents, but it has a smooth texture and rich flavor as indicated.
[Fried Stuffed Tofu] 220 yen New release
This is a fried tofu with negi miso inside. It's filled with ground pork, leeks, shirataki noodles, carrots, and long green onions between the fried tofu layers. It seems like a convenient snack for someone like me who isn't good at cooking. It uses a variety of seasonings.
[Natural Yeast Bagel Plain] 150 yen
The surface is smooth and the inside is moist with a subtle sweetness. It seems like it would be great to use for sandwich fillings. There are also several other flavors like pumpkin.
[Baked Donuts Plain] 120 yen
Mine was filled in, but it had a soft and gentle taste with a firm texture, like a slightly sweet pancake. I didn't warm it up since there is no microwave. It has a subtle sweetness and seems healthy?! There are many varieties of donuts available, and they seem to focus on using local ingredients from Hokkaido. It would be interesting to try a variety of them. There were also fried donuts similar to Sata Andagi. The service was pleasant, and I saw many young women from nearby coming in to buy various items. Thank you for the meal.

Next to Pachinko Happy, there is a tofu shop with a small store but a wide selection of tofu with a lot of attention to detail. Their most popular item is the "yose tofu," which they highly recommend. I happened to buy it at half price and was told that the fried tofu with various fillings inside is delicious. They also sell bagels and donuts made from Hokkaido wheat, possibly because of their connection to tofu. The yose tofu had a firm texture and a strong tofu flavor, especially when paired with miso. It was also tasty when served "agedashi" style with soy sauce and sesame oil. The fried tofu was grilled until crispy and I enjoyed the flavors of the leeks and ground meat inside. Although I heard that the fillings were mixed into the tofu, it seemed more like they were simply sandwiched between two pieces of fried tofu. As someone who isn't a fan of tofu, I found it a bit challenging to enjoy, but the fried tofu was delicious. I plan to try making regular fried tofu at home next time.

This year, there are 24 tofu shops that have become independent and also make sweets. They are located right near the subway station. Inside, there are tables where you can eat on the spot. I bought baked doughnuts made from soy milk and okara, as well as mashed tofu. The baked doughnuts are healthier because they are not fried in oil. I bought Earl Grey and plain flavors, but there were also other varieties available. Following the recommendation, I warmed them up in the microwave before eating. Compared to regular doughnuts, these ones had a noticeable presence of ingredients like okara, which made them a bit crumbly. The Earl Grey flavor had a strong aroma. The mashed tofu had a strong bean flavor and was delicious. However, the prices are a bit higher compared to where I usually buy. Overall, this shop has just started out and is still developing, so I hope they continue to do well.
