This was a shop I had been saving for a long time!! I'm not sure why, but I decided to visit right away! And I quickly found out the reason! This shop can only accommodate 5-6 people at a time. There is one seat for one person, two seats separated by partitions, and one table for two people, allowing you to focus on the taste and enjoy your meal in a calm atmosphere! Please note that they really don't allow groups of 3 or more. - Tempura Soba: 1200 yen The tempura lineup includes eggplant, mackerel, green pepper, and 2 shrimp tempura! The soba noodles are served in a normal portion of 360g, with long, beautifully made noodles that have a smooth texture. The broth is rich and slightly sweet, which pairs perfectly with the soba. They also offer donburi dishes and a smaller portion of soba for those with smaller appetites. Enjoying a blissful bowl of soba alone. Nice.

Long time no soba noodle walk. I haven't been eating soba noodles lately, so I suddenly felt like having some. This place is a soba noodle restaurant for solo diners only. It's run by one person, with only 4 counter seats available. It's small and cozy. Although the COVID situation has shifted to the fifth category and people seem less concerned, the virus's threat level hasn't changed. It's just that restrictions have been eased due to human convenience, so we still need to stay vigilant. This place is perfect. It's mostly for solo diners, and with a small number of seats, the risk of infection is low. I ordered vegetable tempura (hot) and a tanuki onigiri. The soba noodles here have a strong texture. You'll notice it even more with cold soba noodles!! This time, I deliberately ordered warm soba noodles. They are slightly softer than cold soba noodles but still have a satisfying texture. The broth doesn't have a strong dashi flavor and leans more towards soy sauce. The tempura batter may be a bit too thick. Personally, I prefer a thinner batter. The tanuki onigiri has soft rice!! Why do soba noodles have a chewy texture but not rice!! That's the cry of my heart haha. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I ordered Oroshi soba with a medium serving. The medium serving was larger than at a typical soba restaurant. The medium serving was 1.5 times the regular size with an additional 150 yen, while the large serving was 2.0 times the regular size with an additional 380 yen. Normally, the large serving would be more cost-effective, but the soba broth tasted a bit sweet.

The restaurant is labeled as for one person only, but when I came before, it was fine for two people. I've been here a few times before, but strangely, this is my first review here. The quality of the set menu seems worse than when I had it before. I wonder if it's still 100% buckwheat? I tried eating it without anything added, and it felt a bit soft and lacking the firmness compared to before. The flavor of the soba itself was weak. The broth also didn't exceed the level of commercial ones with a noticeable sharpness. What's more, the perfume of the customer behind me also affected the experience. It's hard to enjoy the flavor in a soba restaurant like this. The timing was bad, and while the restaurant itself isn't bad, the influence was significant, so it's hard to evaluate. Even when eating the mushroom tempura rice bowl, my attention was drawn to the mixed flavors. The rice texture was not to my liking, but the mushroom tempura was delicious, though the sauce may vary depending on personal preference. I think it's necessary to revisit and confirm at the right time. Location: 26-3-6 Girasole Maruyama 1F, Kita 3-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.

Now, the pandemic is still raging, right?! Wherever you go, you have to be very cautious. Eating out less frequently becomes natural, and as a result, the frequency of posting reviews decreases. But if you don't go out at all, it can become stressful, so I avoid crowded places and choose places with solid infection prevention measures. A place I know that takes good care of this is Himawari no Tane. Here, it is for solo customers only, with a maximum of two people. The owner runs the place alone, but they also do thorough disinfection activities, so you can feel safe. You know how it is, right? They claim on paper that they are thoroughly disinfecting and ventilating. You can't really tell if they are actually doing it. But here, the compact interior and the fact that there is only one owner make it clear. Whether they are doing it or not. So you can feel safe coming here. Now, today's order is Tenseiro. It's the same every time, but this time I went for the large size for the first time! As they say, you can't fight on an empty stomach! Both the heart and the stomach need to be satisfied to be able to fight! The soba noodles are smooth and firm, and very cold. The dipping sauce has a rich flavor. The large size has a satisfying amount! I rarely feel full just from eating soba noodles haha. I hope that they will also include infection prevention measures in the rating section of Tabelog. In this day and age, it is a very important thing and can be a criterion for choosing a restaurant. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Sunflower seed mountain vegetable soba (cold) for 920 yen. The mountain vegetables were disappointing, and the soba was poorly drained but served in a large bowl... like flowing somen noodles?! Messy! Also, it was served in a small bowl instead of a soba cup, making it difficult to eat. It's not necessarily bad, just not to my liking. The wasabi was also the type that melts on top of the soba... It's a bit different each time, haha. The restaurant recommends dining alone, but two people can also visit. That's what it said, right?

Today, I came to Himari no Tane near Nishi 28th Subway Station to have some soba noodles. There doesn't seem to be any special menu unique to this restaurant, but I was drawn to the thick soba noodles. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a sign saying "For one person only (2 people allowed)" at the entrance. Well, I thought this is also a safety measure during this time, so I entered the restaurant and found that the seats were all for one person. I looked at the menu and decided to order the medium-sized dipping noodles with tempura. It arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The noodles were slightly thinner than I had imagined. The volume of the medium-sized portion was impressive for a soba restaurant, almost like a ramen restaurant. The noodles were very smooth, similar to Chinese noodles. The dipping sauce was thick and sweet. The aftertaste reminded me of a light sukiyaki sauce. Dipping the noodles about 1/3 into the sauce was just right. The soba noodles here are so long that you have to lift your arm all the way up after picking them up with chopsticks. Towards the end, I sprinkled plenty of shichimi pepper on the noodles to change the flavor.

This is my second visit. This place is a soba restaurant for solo diners only. They limit the visit to a maximum of 2 people per group. The restaurant is small and they thoroughly implement COVID-19 measures. There are customers who do not follow the rule of eating in silence, but here, with the restriction of only 1-2 people per group, you can enjoy lunch with peace of mind. I had the Tempura Seiro (medium portion), which is actually more than enough for a regular portion (1.5 times the regular portion). The soba noodles are smooth and have a nice chewy texture. It's my favorite kind of soba. The tempura could have a bit more volume, as I felt it was slightly lacking, but considering the generous portion of soba, it's fair. Oh, but dining alone here gives a sense of security. I feel like I'll be visiting more often. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

On a certain holiday, I visited a soba restaurant located near Nishi 28th Street Subway Station, where I had bookmarked. Upon arrival, I found out that it had changed back to a soba restaurant from the previous place I visited. There seems to be parking space for about one car in front of the store. The interior of the restaurant is small and cozy, just like before. Due to current restrictions, there is a sign at the entrance saying "For one person only" and the maximum seating capacity is limited to 5 seats. The background music playing is from an FM radio. On that day, I decided to go for something light from the menu, so I ordered the "Cold Vegetable Tempura Soba (790 yen)" from the sole owner of the restaurant. As I took the first bite, I noticed that the soba noodles were grey in color and slightly thicker in cut, with a chewy texture. The dipping sauce was surprisingly sweet and rich, with a noticeable seafood flavor that complemented the soba well. The vegetable tempura was light and crispy, with a good balance of oil, consisting of onions, carrots, burdock root, and shiso leaves. I ended the meal with a satisfying bowl of soba broth. I couldn't help but think that in a different world, this soba restaurant could have come up with more creative ways to attract customers and enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful meal. Thank you for the food.

In February 2021, I visited a small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. There were two parking spaces in front of the store, and due to virus prevention measures, only up to two people were allowed inside at a time. When I visited, there was no wait and I could enter right away. I was attracted to the menu offering 100% buckwheat soba, which was surprisingly reasonably priced for the Maruyama area. I decided to try the assorted tempura soba. It took less than 10 minutes for the dish to be served, and to my surprise, the portion was huge! While I often order extra-large portions at soba restaurants, the regular size here was much larger than expected. The soba noodles were smooth and had a firm texture, even though they were made with 100% buckwheat. The condiments included green onions, wasabi, and grated radish. The dipping sauce was rich, and the tempura, including shrimp, eggplant, bell pepper, and white fish, was delicious with a light and crispy batter. Despite the generous portion, I managed to finish the soba. The complimentary soba-yu (hot soba water) at the end was a nice touch. Overall, I was impressed by the excellent service and delicious food, which exceeded my expectations for this area. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

After moving and renovating, I visited a soba restaurant that I hadn't been to in about 7 years since the old location. There was a sign at the storefront saying "For individuals only" (up to 2 people allowed), which I assume is due to the small size of the restaurant and COVID-19 measures. However, it may cause misunderstandings if not clearly communicated to customers who came with expectations. On the positive side, the owner's service, while not overly friendly, was generally polite. The set menu is reasonably priced and easy to order. The small serving size is generous, with about 360g in a normal serving, which seems like a good value compared to other places. I ordered the "small serving" this time, which was around 180-200g of boiled noodles. The soba noodles were long, medium-thick, and slightly firm, with a sweet flavor but I expected more if it was 100% buckwheat. The broth had a sweet taste upfront, with a strong, heavy flavor that I felt was a bit overpowering. I personally prefer a balance where the broth is more subtle. Overall, it seems like a neighborhood spot where you can enjoy a satisfying meal and good value for everyday use.

At the end of the year, while shopping around, I visited "Himawari no Tane," which recently relocated from around Enzan Uramichi 23-chome to a building next to "RITARU COFFEE" on the south side of North 3rd Street West 26th Street. It was my first visit since the relocation. There was a sign in front of the store saying "Visits limited to 2 people or less" as a COVID-19 precaution. The store remains cozy, if not even smaller than before. I was directed to a small table in the back and ordered the "Tanuki Soba (warm) @740 (tax included)" from the lunch set menu. The bald-headed owner was managing everything alone. After a 10-minute wait, the soba was served, overflowing with watercress. The soba noodles seemed less flavorful and a bit mushy, not like authentic soba. The portion was generous, but the broth was a bit too sweet and lacked depth. I added extra spice halfway through. Overall, the experience was a bit disappointing compared to the previous impression I had of the place.

Soba Nobori is a stylish concrete building with a warm and chic interior. The owner, who seems friendly, runs the place alone. I ordered the Tempura Chicken Rice Bowl Set which came with a mini cold soba. The portion was generous and the soba had a nice flavor. The tempura chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the sauce was rich and sweet. Overall, it was a delicious meal with great value for the price.

I found a soba restaurant while taking a walk on Saturday night. It seemed that they only open for lunch, so I visited the next day around noon. Due to the pandemic and the small size of the restaurant, they only allow 2 people or less inside at a time. The opening hours are from 11-14:30! Surprisingly, the menu is pretty standard, but there was a bit of a wait. I decided to play it safe and ordered the Ten Seiro. The soba looked delicious when it arrived, and it tasted great. However, the portion size was larger than expected - 360g! Personally, I think it was too much. The couple who came in after me ordered two medium portions, which seemed like a lot. They were still eating when I left, and I couldn't tell if they were eating soba or cold noodles. In my opinion, a moderate portion size is just right.
