I was tired from walking, so I decided to have a meal near the station. I thought it might be a little less crowded than the restaurant area at Stella Place, so I went to Daimaru. The beef stew omelette rice was delicious. It looked good and tasted great. The egg was fluffy and satisfying.

I decided to go for the shrimp fry, and ordered the Big Shrimp Fry Plate. It came with 2 large shrimp fries, chicken rice, 2 squid rings, meat sauce spaghetti, cabbage salad, and tartar sauce. I was hoping for something hot, but the shrimp fry was the only thing that was hot and had a good portion. The chicken rice lacked stir-fry flavor and tasted like it was cooked in a rice cooker. The squid rings were a bit too crispy and tough. The meat sauce spaghetti was watery and disappointing. The cabbage salad was refreshing and I was full after eating. It was a satisfying meal. I went during the New Year's holiday. I was determined to eat omurice, so I found a restaurant and went in. It was crowded because it was dinner time during the New Year's holiday. I ordered the tomato sauce omurice and the red kuma salad in full size. The tomato sauce omurice had lots of fluffy tomatoes on top, with a refreshing taste that was not too heavy, and I enjoyed it. The red kuma salad was colorful, with finely chopped boiled eggs on top. The omurice was delicious, but the acidity of the tomatoes was a bit strong. Coupled with the ketchup rice, it was a bit sour. Personally, I am very sensitive to acidity, and the sauce was too much for the amount of rice, making it a bit difficult to finish. I heard that the demi-glace sauce version comes with white rice inside, so maybe that would have been better for me. But it was still delicious, so it's all good! The portion was smaller than it looked. I knew that this type of restaurant usually serves small portions, but I ended up eating something else at another restaurant because I was still hungry after finishing the meal here.

There were so many delicious options on the menu that it took me quite a while to decide what to order. In the end, I ordered the Seafood Doria for 1,480 yen and the Hamburg Doria for 1,380 yen. The Seafood Doria was filled with mussels, clams, squid, shrimp, and scallops. The combination of white sauce, seafood, and cheese was amazing! The cheese was so stretchy no matter where you pulled it from. The slightly burnt parts were especially delicious. The Hamburg Doria had a big hamburger patty on top, making it very filling! I wanted to order the plate dish if I had a bit more room in my stomach, but I arrived a little late for lunch so I went with the Doria. Next time, I'll definitely try the plate dish! The Beef Stew Omelette Rice at the Red Bear Diner Western-Style Restaurant is priced at 1,380 yen. I've been really into the Instagram accounts of Curry Master and Ramen Master, but now I've discovered the Omelette Rice Master as well! I couldn't resist trying the Beef Stew Omelette Rice that I saw on Instagram instead of my usual bento lunch. The dish had white rice inside the omelette, with plenty of beef chunks, and there was a big juicy piece every 3-4 bites. The beef was so tender and flavorful, it just melted in my mouth. I wish the whole dish was just filled with this delicious beef. The Pokemon Center is currently closed, but I've visited this restaurant a few times before. Both Daimaru and Stellar Place's restaurant areas were quite empty today. I'm looking forward to the opening of the Din Tai Fung Sapporo store at Sapporo Stellar Place on September 30th. This was my first visit to a Western-style restaurant on the restaurant floor of Daimaru Sapporo. It consisted of a large chicken cutlet, rice, cabbage, onion rings, spaghetti, and salad, quite a substantial meal. I received a 1000 yen meal voucher for the 8th floor restaurant area at Daimaru Sapporo after undergoing a medical check-up at the JR Tower Clinic. I decided to use it at the Western-style restaurant "Akakuma Shokudo". The popular menu item there is the mountain-sized chicken cutlet curry. The restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere with traditional decor. I arrived around 11:10 am and most of the tables were already occupied. I ordered the chicken cutlet curry and waited for it to arrive. The curry had a mild spiciness with a hint of acidity, similar to the curry served in hotels. The consistency was not too thick, more on the watery side. The chicken cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was a bit difficult to eat the dish as a whole, so I ended up placing the cutlet on top of the curry and rice to eat it together. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would like to try other items on the menu in the future.

I was surprised by the impact of the Mountain Shrimp Fry Curry menu and decided to order it. I like shrimp fry, but as expected, I got tired of it by the second one. I knew this would happen even before I started eating. I didn't need this much, even though I like it. The curry was just average. But it turned out to be a good memory, so that's nice.

I was torn between the regular beef stew and the beef tongue, but I felt like having some beef tongue. When I ordered, I was surprised to see that there were thick slices of beef tongue in the stew, even bigger than I had expected. The beef tongue was so tender that it easily fell apart with a spoon. The vegetables in the stew were also soft and delicious, and the creamy egg hidden in the middle was a nice surprise! The bread in the set was like a French baguette, crispy and toasted perfectly to go with the stew. It also came with butter! I came to the restaurant area at Sapporo Daimaru for a meeting. It was crowded everywhere, but I decided to go to the Red Bear Diner. Not a polar bear, but a red bear. They say red brown bears have a fierce temperament, but oh well. I decided to try the chicken plate. It came with a salad, rice, and sautéed chicken on a skillet-style iron plate, topped with tomato sauce. It looked quite appealing. The chicken itself was pretty tasty. I felt it would have been even better if there was a bit more sauce.
