Visit date: Around 5:40 pm on January 3, 2020. On this day, I decided to hang out with my classmates from vocational school in Sapporo and have dinner at a department store in the end. After some consideration, we chose this restaurant, "Akakuma Shokudo". They offer a variety of Western dishes such as omurice, pasta, curry, pancakes, etc. This time, I ordered the "Chicken Cutlet Plate (¥1350)". As expected, dining at a department store restaurant can be a bit pricey! The plate arrived in about 10 minutes. It consisted of a large chicken cutlet, rice, cabbage, onion rings, spaghetti, and salad, quite a substantial meal. (I apologize for the unclear photo) Hmm, this has more volume than the Turkish rice at "Toa Coffee House", I wonder if I can finish it. I took a bite of the cutlet. The sauce was demi-glace sauce, which was quite delicious. However, because the sauce was generously soaked, there were few crispy parts to enjoy! The rice seemed like pilaf, and the strong flavor of the demi-glace sauce made the rice taste a bit bland... With a good amount of cabbage, it might be a good idea to take a break with it and try to eat, as the spaghetti also has a strong flavor. Well, I managed to finish it, but I'm really full now haha. Dessert seems out of the question. Although I didn't plan to have something sweet twice with my classmates, I was feeling like, "Isn't this a Turkish rice plate, not a chicken cutlet plate?" throughout. When I checked the receipt, it indeed said "Turkish". Oh well, even the restaurant itself called it Turkish rice! The curry and omurice looked delicious too, so I'd like to try them next time. Thank you for the meal.
