For dinner, we enjoyed delicious soup curry at Garaku, and then walked along Hotaru Street with my daughters who wanted something sweet. We found this shop where we enjoyed soft serve ice cream with cute cow cookies on top. It was rich and creamy with a distinct Hokkaido milk flavor. This shop seems to be the only sweet shop within the vast Tomamu Resort. The display case had a variety of sweets, making window shopping enjoyable too.

When staying at Hoshino Resort, we decided to have our evening snack in the room. There were plenty of souvenirs available at the shop, but the only option for sweets was here. It's a bit expensive, but we decided to treat ourselves. The taste was average. I would say it's on par with the sweets shops in department stores. I wish the cups were a bit cuter though, since it's a special occasion.

Hoshino Resort Tomamu has a wide area where you can purchase almost anything you need, including a convenience store and beer vending machines. However, if you want to buy something outside of the resort, it can be quite difficult. Tomamu Station is about a 10-minute drive away, but unfortunately, there are no shops there, just the station. The nearest town with shops is about 20 kilometers away, and Tomamu, also known as Minami-Furano, is very far from Furano. Despite this, the only sweets shop in Hoshino Resort Tomamu seems to be highly valued. They offer 15 types of sweets made with Hokkaido ingredients, each costing around 500 yen. I wanted to try the corn sweets, but they were sold out, so I bought ones made with melon, strawberry, and matcha instead. There is no dining space, so I took them back to my room at the hotel. I was surprised that even during a power outage caused by a typhoon, the resort had its own power generator that quickly kicked in. This trip will definitely be a memorable one.

I tried some cup sweets that I had been curious about since last night. There were many different types and a lot of baked goods as well. I decided to buy them because they were additive-free and looked good. The rain had stopped and they tasted delicious.

This is a store located in Tomamu, Hoshino Resort in Hokkaido. It is located in the newly opened Hotaru Street, a dining street. We went for a walk after dinner to Hotaru Street and had dessert at this store. We ordered soft serve ice cream in milk flavor for 400 yen. It was quite a large portion, enough for two people! It was very delicious with a rich milk flavor, perfect for the hot day. It was a refreshing treat after eating curry. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our time relaxing on the terrace. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again.

I went to Kiroro for skiing last weekend, but it was raining so we decided to change plans and go to Tomamu instead. The team that wasn't skiing enjoyed some sweets! We visited this place where there were about 10 cute cylindrical sweets in the showcase, along with some soft serve. I tried the corn dessert that I had seen on TV and also the raspberry and blueberry blancmange. They were not too sweet and very delicious. The seating space is limited, but if you want to have a drink, you can bring these to the neighboring café.
