I will visit "Ichinana" for lunch! I had been putting it off for a while, but after seeing it featured on a certain TV show, I decided to go. Many customers were using takeout, and there was only one group eating inside the restaurant. I was happy that it wasn't too crowded. There was an Arowana fish in a tank at the entrance! The lunch set had increased by 100 yen, but that was fine. I originally came here for this, so I ordered the "Lunch Set (¥950)". The okonomiyaki in the set is usually pork only, but you can change it to seafood for an additional 50 yen. The set includes okonomiyaki, one salted rice ball, two pieces of fried chicken, pickles, and a soft drink. It's been a while since I had Calpis! You can choose to cook the okonomiyaki yourself or have the staff cook it for you. I chose the latter, and the staff cooked it in the kitchen. After a short wait, the finished dish was placed on the hot plate. The crispy texture of the pork with a salt and pepper seasoning, the fluffy texture of the okonomiyaki seasoned with a sweet sauce, and the moment when it melts in your mouth due to the heat are all irresistible! You can also customize it with pickled ginger, chili pepper, nori powder, and other seasonings. The rice ball and fried chicken are just extras. You can try eating the fried chicken on top of the rice ball with mayonnaise and sauce for a junk food mini bowl like at a ramen shop! It's rare for me to eat it this way since I'm not a mayo lover, but I would definitely gain weight if I did it every day haha. When I took a picture, the staff asked me, "Are you going to post it on social media? lol." They hit the nail on the head haha. Next time, I want to come with friends at night and share okonomiyaki, monjayaki, yakisoba, and more that are not included in the lunch set! It's a lively place and you can feel the enthusiasm of the staff, so I recommend it! Thank you for the meal.

I was invited by a local to visit a okonomiyaki restaurant that opened in Chitose City last year. Recommended lunch set for 850 yen includes Butatama (add 50 yen for seafood), one salted rice ball, Karaage (with sauce), and one soft drink. They cook in the kitchen and bring it to your table. The okonomiyaki was cheap and delicious. However, the Karaage was greasy and the salted rice ball seemed to be made with rice pressed into a mold and was not tasty.

- Lunch set 850 yen: Buta-tama, salt musubi (1 piece), karaage (with sauce), soft drink. Okonomiyaki can be self-cooked or cooked for you. I had it cooked for me. The sauce is sweet and has a seasoning-like flavor commonly used in sweets. It's not too fluffy, but has a moist texture. The karaage is also sweet, like a snack, but it's good if you want a snack. - Squid ink black yakisoba 1100 yen: Rare baby scallops in slices with a bit of spicy chili, more salty than spicy. The noodles are thick and soft. There are good brands of Japanese sake available. There aren't many places to drink in the newly developed residential area, so I guess that's the aim. I think it's good.

On a certain weekday, I stumbled upon a relatively new okonomiyaki restaurant located in front of Chitose City Hall. The parking lot seemed to have enough space for parking. The interior of the restaurant was spacious with tables equipped with teppanyaki grills, consisting of 2 regular tables, 3 sunken tables, and private rooms. The background music playing was Western music. From the menu that day, I chose the lunch set (850 yen) which included okonomiyaki, monjayaki, yakisoba, and a variety of alcoholic beverages for the evening. Since I didn't have any particular preference, I opted for the lunch set with a drink choice of oolong tea. After a while, the lunch set was served. The okonomiyaki looked delicious. The first bite of the pork and cabbage okonomiyaki was soft and fluffy with a nice appearance. The sauce was not too salty initially, but became a bit salty towards the end. There was a subtle shrimp powder flavor, and the thick slices of pork were impressive. The set also included a slightly salty onigiri, two zangi pieces in soy sauce, and a large portion of pickled vegetables. I finished the meal with the oolong tea. Overall, I enjoyed a reasonably priced lunch with a variety of dishes including okonomiyaki, and it was a satisfying meal.

I found out about the new restaurant in Chitose City. I had passed by the construction site of the same store facing C Route, so I was wondering what it would be, but I didn't know it was an okonomiyaki restaurant. Some people call C Route "Tank Road," but that is just a nickname, and C Route is the official name, as stated on Chitose City's website. Information on the movement of the Ground Self-Defense Force's tracked vehicles is also disclosed, so video enthusiasts may want to visit. Now, when I find a new store, the first thing I check is the store location on the Food Log map, but it is off by about 80 meters. When you zoom in on the map, it shows a building further back from C Route, so I wonder who registered this, but more importantly, despite there being four reviews posted, no one has requested a correction (as of September 9, 2021). The store location on the map is crucial store information. I visited around noon, and there were no other customers. As the state of emergency has been applied to the Ishikari area, I make sure to visit stores that are taking precautions. I was asked whether I preferred a table seat or a sunken kotatsu, and when I said I preferred a table seat, I was guided to a private room. Looking at the menu, they not only have okonomiyaki but also yakisoba and monjayaki. Stores that make delicious okonomiyaki also make delicious yakisoba, so I felt like having yakisoba. And they had a spicy yakisoba, which seemed like it was made just for me. They also had negiyaki, so I ordered both. When the spicy yakisoba came out and I took a bite, I thought, "Wow, this is delicious!" The not-too sweet sauce and the spicy kick were indescribable. And there were crispy burnt parts on the noodles, which were also delicious. While yakisoba is already delicious, the spicy yakisoba is a unique dish that you won't find elsewhere. The negiyaki came on a plate, so I immediately placed it on the hot plate. I cut it with a spatula, placed it on a plate, poured vinegar sauce over it, and it was delicious. "It's not the sauce, but the sourness that goes well with this!" The unique deliciousness of negiyaki, different from okonomiyaki, satisfied my wife as well. When I mentioned that Peyang's Gekikara yakisoba is a punishment game, but the spiciness of their spicy yakisoba is delicious, the owner laughed and nodded, saying it's their preference. Next to the store, there was a kitchen trailer selling Taiwanese-style shaved ice, so I had a lemon-flavored one. Unlike regular shaved ice, it didn't have a crunchy texture but felt more like eating ice cream. Even though summer is coming to an end, I was able to enjoy it on a summer-like day, and it was delicious.

The other day, I visited the hand-made soba restaurant Sakura, which recently opened along the road, with a friend for the first time. We ordered: Okonomiyaki (Pork and egg) for 700 yen, Ichihana Yakisoba for 750 yen, Salted chicken Karaage for 500 yen, 2 Salt Onigiri for 250 yen, Cremia Vanilla ice cream for 550 yen, and Iced coffee for 250 yen. The restaurant has a sophisticated and elegant appearance, similar to a funeral home or a traditional Japanese restaurant, with a spacious parking lot. The interior is beautifully decorated with tropical fish swimming around. The okonomiyaki can be cooked by yourself or by the staff, and we chose to have it cooked by the staff, resulting in a beautifully presented dish. The yakisoba was also cooked by the staff and came with a delicious fried egg on top. The flavors were rich and went well with beer. They also offer dishes like Monjayaki and Tonpeiyaki, although the fried items lacked crispiness, they were juicy. They also have other side dishes like Hormone and Beef tendon stew. For dessert, we tried the Cremia soft serve ice cream, which was sweet and creamy. In the trailer house located on the wooden deck within the premises, they serve shaved ice and American hot dogs starting from around 3 pm. You can also order from inside the restaurant. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

The other day, I had the "Ichihana Yakisoba" at "Ichihana," a restaurant that opened on July 10, 2021, at 5-9-8 Chitose City Mayor Miyako Station Front. The dish consisted of pork, cabbage, and a fried egg on top, priced at 750 yen. They cook it in front of you on a hot plate. Since it was hot, I also had a non-alcoholic beer, Asahi's, for 500 yen. It was delicious! Ichihana is located along the Tank Street, opened on July 10th, and operates from 11:00 to 22:00 continuously. They also have a wooden deck area next to the store where they sell shaved ice, American dogs, potatoes, etc., starting around 3 pm. Upon entering the store, you are greeted by an Arowana fish. I asked if they offer takeout, and until 5 pm, they do, but after that, it's dine-in only. They also serve alcohol with their side dishes. The interior has 2 table seats, 3 raised tatami seats, and a semi-private room. The menu includes various okonomiyaki dishes, side dishes, monjayaki, yakisoba, and more. The restaurant only accepts cash payments. The Ichihana Yakisoba I tried had a chewy and delicious noodle texture, but the sauce was quite strong. It was enjoyable with plenty of pork, cabbage, and the fried egg. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I would like to try their okonomiyaki and monjayaki next time.

"Ichihana," a new okonomiyaki restaurant that opened on July 10, 2021. There weren't many authentic okonomiyaki restaurants in Chitose, so we were looking forward to its opening. The name of the restaurant was taken from the owner's daughter's name. The restaurant has sunken kotatsu seating and table seating, making it suitable for families with young children. This time, we tried the okonomiyaki and yakisoba. You can choose to cook the okonomiyaki yourself or have it cooked for you when you order. The taste was truly authentic, as expected from a dish recommended by the owner with confidence! The yakisoba noodles were chewy and delicious, a must-try when you visit! They also sell premium soft serve ice cream "Cremia" and offer children's snacks. Outside the restaurant, there is a kitchen car where you can enjoy shaved ice, making it a place likely to become popular in the future!"

It's past 11:30 AM on Tuesday. I confirmed on Instagram that there was no notice of temporary closure, but when I went to the restaurant, it was closed. The door was locked and there were no customers. It's a shame because the food is delicious. They must have had various reasons for closing, but I wish they had put up a notice or updated their Instagram if they were going to be closed.

I recently visited a newly opened okonomiyaki restaurant because I had never tried monjayaki before. I ordered seafood monjayaki, negiyaki, and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with chicken cartilage. The negiyaki and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki were cooked by the staff. The batter was chewy. It may be a matter of personal preference. The Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki had thin noodles in it, like udon maybe? I've heard that some places in Hiroshima actually put udon in it. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
