This is the airport in Chitose. There is a new restaurant at the airport after a long time. The restaurant specializes in livestock products, offering brand meats such as black Wagyu beef, pork, and chicken raised in one of Japan's leading breeding areas. They sell products at a retail corner and also offer cooked dishes. It is a takeout-only place with a small table and chairs outside the store. I had ramen first before stopping by. They told me it would take some time, so I had soft serve ice cream at a nearby store before picking up my order. I tried the meat sushi set which included roast beef made from Chitose Wagyu "Chimi," homemade prosciutto, and beef yukhoe, two pieces of each. The ingredients were of high quality, so I could taste them directly without any distractions. I also tried the Zangi burger, which had a fluffy bun with lots of sesame seeds and plenty of mayo-based sauce, making it juicy without overpowering the taste of the Zangi. The open kitchen where they cook is visible, creating a bright and enjoyable atmosphere. The large fried cutlet called "Kotoretta" caught my eye, made from thinly pounded Hokkaido chicken breast. It was surprising how big it was. They also had delicious-looking grilled meat, Zangi bento, pork bowl, rice balls, and pork cutlet sandwiches lined up. It was a satisfying meal.

After eating Asahikawa ramen at the Ramen Dojo, I visited to purchase some snacks for drinking in the evening. The shop in New Chitose Airport offers a variety of products from different regions in Hokkaido, including Sapporo's major department stores. When I saw a shop labeled "Meat Factory," they were selling Genghis Khan lamb for 2,500 yen, which made me retract my hand in surprise (laughs). Next, I noticed two types of deer meat sausages, and since I love deer meat, I bought them. Back at home, using a hot plate purchased from Tokyo Horumon in Yuni, I slowly cooked the sausages just like the German sausages from the Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo, and when I took a bite, I thought, "Wow, the spices are so flavorful and delicious!" "Deer meat is really tasty, after all." Thanks to that, my highball drink went down smoothly (laughs). My husband and I wish that deer meat becomes even more popular in the future.

This is a shop in the 2nd floor shopping world of New Chitose Airport that specializes in meat delicacies, ham, and bacon. It is operated by Sapporo Barnabafuz Co., Ltd., a member of the Hokkaido Airport Group. I came across it for the first time, and it turns out it is a relatively new store that opened in March last year. On my way back from my trip to Sapporo, knowing I would arrive home in Tokyo late at night, I decided to stop by and pick up some snacks for when I got back. While they had various cooked dishes available, I ended up purchasing their signature product, "Farmhouse Bacon." Instead of the usual block shape I've seen before at events or antenna shops, I bought the thick steak-cut slices. It was my first time seeing bacon sold in this shape. When I got home, I grilled it quickly and enjoyed it with a pretzel from a German bakery in Sapporo called Burg. It was delicious. The bacon, made using an old-fashioned method of salting pork belly with rock salt, coating it with pig blood components, smoking, and drying, had a great balance of fat and lean meat. The founding members of Barnaba Ham left a major company with the desire to create genuine ham, learned the craft in Germany through a homestay, and it really shows in the flavor and aroma of their products, which are quite different from those sold in supermarkets. The next day, I made a sandwich with the bacon and Burg's Pumpernickel bread. It was also incredibly delicious. While I sometimes make my own bacon using a smoker at home, the quality of professionally made bacon using traditional techniques is truly exceptional.

Shopping for souvenirs at New Chitose Airport (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧ The airport has a wide selection of dining options, so for those who want to take it easy, it's recommended to arrive at least 3 hours before the flight. Is 1 hour before enough at Sendai Airport? (laughs) There's a shop near Kamazakae called "Kamazakae-san"!! They offer a variety of items such as side dishes, bento boxes, rice balls, and hamburgers, with a stylish atmosphere and attractive menus lined up! ● Kotoretta 580 yen I was feeling a bit peckish, so I focused on the side dish corner. I was tempted by the menchi-katsu and karaage, but I ordered the BIG chicken cutlet because I felt like eating it (^^)♂♂ What is Kotoretta? It seems like a Milanese-style cutlet dish... It's made with chicken breast, and the crispy coating made me want to eat it quickly, but the tables around the shop were all full... "Be careful because the fried crumbs overflow a lot (laughs)" I ate it while waiting for the flight at the security office, and it was delicious as a chicken cutlet (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑ I think it's worth a visit for those aiming for snacks or bento boxes. Welcome.---------- July 2022 ----------New Chitose Airport Domestic Terminal 2F seems to be in the center? In the center, there are table seats in a food court-like area. Hello, Sapporo Bar Nabafuz main store. The layout inside is mainly for takeout, with lots of meat items. Next to the register, there are onigiri, bento boxes, fried foods, and a variety of options. The onigiri is priced for the airport. There is also alcohol available (couldn't drink because I drank too much before coming to the airport). The "Kotoretta" is originally a fried and kept warm in stock, but it was just in the middle of frying, so I was able to have it freshly fried. It looks like the fried chicken I had at a Taiwanese street stall. It's just a piece of trimmed chicken breast pounded out. The delicate batter is crispy and makes a nice sound when you bite into it. The inside is moist and tender meat with a simple umami flavor that is enhanced by the pepper. It's really big, but still easy to eat. The light texture and portion for 580 yen is reasonable. The variety of meat options at this market is impressive.

On a holiday morning, I wandered around New Chitose Airport from early in the morning. After visiting five places and feeling too full to eat more, I decided to get some takeout. One of the places I visited was "B-Styl's", a takeout specialty store operated by "Balnaba Ham" that offers a variety of side dishes and bento boxes. Since there were no other customers, I felt a bit rushed to make my purchase as the staff approached me quickly. I didn't plan on buying a large amount or spending a lot of money, so I quickly chose a large onigiri called "Bakudan" priced at 580 yen. I took it home to enjoy. Even though a 580 yen onigiri may seem expensive, it all depends on the contents. Since there was no description of the ingredients, I was excited to see what was inside. I decided to split it in half and found that it was a salmon and salmon roe onigiri. The BIG size onigiri seemed to be more than twice the size of a convenience store onigiri. The rice was cooked firm and remained delicious even when cold. The seasoning of the ingredients was subtle, which might be perceived as lacking by some people, but as I get older, I have to be careful with excessive salt intake. This onigiri was satisfying enough for dinner with just one piece. If I have the chance, I would like to try other items from the store as well. Thank you for the meal.

There is a meat shop inside New Chitose Airport that offers a good variety of salami and jerky. It is a nice change from the many seafood shops in the area. On this particular day, I bought some fresh salami. It had a strong flavor, but when sliced thinly, it was just the right amount of rich and delicious.

Today's food log activity is here, with no other customers and friendly staff. I was drawn to the name "Kotoretta," but ended up ordering the chicken skewers after hearing the explanation from the staff. When I got home, I found that they were recommended as a perfect snack with beer, and the fact that they came with a fork was a nice touch. They were delicious! Chicken skewers for 600 yen. Thank you! (^^)v

After having ramen, I moved around a bit but it was crowded with people everywhere. I had already bought souvenirs so I was fine, but the restaurants were all full with long waits. So, I decided to skip the security check and head to the lounge, where I could enjoy a beer while waiting. I went to a shop that I had been curious about for a while, which specializes in meat dishes. They also have bento boxes, but I was drawn to the freshly fried side dishes. This time, I chose the Gourmet Pork Bowl Bento and a dish called Torikoro, which is a mix of fried chicken and zangi. I bought these for 1780 yen. It was truly a meat feast. I enjoyed these in the lounge. First, the pork bowl. Surprisingly, there was a generous amount of rice which was a pleasant surprise. The portion of meat was also decent. I sprinkled the included sansho pepper and then dug in! Although it wasn't freshly made, the flavor of the pork bowl sauce was good. The meat was tender and of a decent size, providing a satisfying bite. Next was the Torikoro. When I opened the container, there was a strong garlic smell. I let it settle for a bit before trying it. The meat seemed to be a mix of thigh and breast. The flavor was slightly strong, but still good even when it cooled down. Overall, I had a good meal this time. Thanks to that, I was satisfied. I would like to try other side dishes in the future. Thank you for the meal.

On my first visit to the airport on March 23, 2023, the second restaurant we visited was one that my wife wanted to try. She said she wanted something light to snack on, so I figured I could finish whatever was left. Huh!? I don't remember seeing this kind of restaurant before. It must be relatively new since I don't recall seeing it. B-style's is a trendy-looking place. They offer fried food for takeout and even have beer, so it's a good environment for those who enjoy drinking. But this time, we bought sandwiches. We got a tonkatsu sandwich and a roast beef sandwich to share after our in-flight meal. The tonkatsu sandwich was delicious! The bread had a nice flavor. I bet it would taste even better if it was freshly made. We also tried the one with roast beef. The taste was as expected, but... the bread felt a bit dry and crumbly. I think the tonkatsu sandwich was better. Overall, we ended up eating quite a bit. It was satisfying, and we left feeling full. It was a unique experience since there isn't much to do in terms of takeout options at the airport. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

On the second day of my business trip to Hokkaido in March 2023, I stopped by New Chitose Airport for a snack. Since I had a satisfying soba with braised pork belly for lunch, I wasn't very hungry. I bought some Kamaboko as a souvenir and decided to try a little snack from the nearby shop. I ended up choosing "Tori Koro" for 500 yen. I actually wanted to have Zangi, but thought a small snack would suffice. It was a classic choice. The spiciness made me crave a beer. And then I started craving fried chicken, leading to more beer. It's a devilish spiral. Before I knew it, I had finished the snack. Once you start eating, you just want to keep eating more.

Before the flight, I had tea time at the food court with my boss and a large colleague. They had soft serve ice cream while my boss said, "You're probably going to get a beer, use this travel support coupon to buy it." So I went running to find a place and ended up getting two glasses of beer. I had the Classic draft for ¥550 each. It was so delicious that I wish I could have it on the main island too...

B-style's is a shop located on the 2nd floor of New Chitose Airport Terminal Building in the "Shopping World" area. I visited this shop before boarding my return flight during my trip to Hokkaido in mid-October. The shop is divided into two sections, one for takeout items like sandwiches, rice balls, and fried chicken, and the other for processed foods like ham and sausages. The shop front displays the name "Meat marché," but it seems like the overall name is "B-style's." On this day, I purchased the "Garlic Fresh Sausage of Dirty Pig" (1050 yen) and the "Hokkaido Sheep Ham" (950 yen) from the processed food section. I also bought a "Coolant (S)" (110 yen) to keep them cold for the journey back home. When I arrived home, I immediately tried them out. The Hokkaido Sheep Ham was my first time trying sheep ham, but it had no gamey taste and was a delicious prosciutto with just the right amount of saltiness, perfect for pairing with wine. As for the Garlic Fresh Sausage of Dirty Pig, I quickly fried it up and... it was incredibly delicious! It was so juicy and packed with flavor! I can't even describe how good it was, but it was definitely something special. It was a truly delightful experience. Thank you for the meal.

I came to New Chitose Airport for a pick-up mission, but the arrival was delayed, so I wandered around the airport. Whenever I come to New Chitose Airport, I always eat soft serve ice cream. The soft serve I had that day was a sweet type, so I wanted to reset my palate with something salty. I found a shop called "B-style's" and bought their specialty, "torikoro" which is fried chicken. You can choose from three flavors: devil, salt lemon, and butter soy sauce, and I chose butter soy sauce. I was surprised when I opened the box because there were only 4 small pieces of fried chicken inside, each costing 125 yen. The flavor was good with a nice aroma of soy sauce and butter, but there was hardly any meat flavor. Even considering airport prices, it's hard to say if it's a fair price. The menu image shows a lot more quantity overflowing from the box. I hope the restaurant will review their menu images and adjust accordingly. Thank you, B-style's.

Today, I had lunch at New Chitose Airport before boarding a plane to Haneda Airport in the early afternoon. I found a shop with a line nearby where you can sit and eat in the airport, so I decided to join the queue. The shop is known for its fried chicken for takeout. This time, I bought some fried chicken (lemon salt flavor) from a shop called "Torikoro" and enjoyed it with the salmon and salmon roe rice ball I bought earlier. The portion was elegant, but quite delicious. Personally, I prefer "Zangi" though.

New Chitose Airport is a place I pass by often, and the shops are big and easy to spot. They offer black wagyu roast beef and wagyu ham sandwich. The sandwich is made with two slices of thin bread. Wagyu ham is quite rare. The amount of meat is just right, not too much or too little. It's delicious, but maybe it lacks a bit of harmony with the bread. The staff explained everything very politely, which made it easy to choose. The black wagyu on that day was from Furano. There were also plenty of rice balls available, including ones without meat like salmon and salmon roe. If they had meat rice balls, I would have chosen it immediately. They looked tasty and big. Next time, I'll try the barbecue bento that I hesitated and passed on. Thank you for the meal!!

B-style's opened as a single store occupying two separate spaces, one from JA and the other from a neighboring store at New Chitose Airport. The right side is dedicated to souvenirs, while the left side offers side dishes and bento boxes. There aren't many meat-focused options at New Chitose Airport, so a store solely selling meat-based bento boxes was a unique find. The menu includes items like meat sushi, hamburgers, sandwiches, Zangi (fried chicken), and menchi katsu. I decided to try the Zangi Burger (580 yen), which consisted of small, dark-colored Zangi pieces, shredded cabbage, greens, and a mayo-based sauce sandwiched between fluffy buns. The buns had a nice sesame seed topping. The Zangi had a strong, savory flavor and a firm texture. The buns were sweet and thick, which I personally enjoyed. However, the flavors in Hokkaido tend to be strong, and this was no exception. The Zangi and sauce were both quite salty, making the overall taste a bit overwhelming. It would have been better paired with a beer, but on its own, it was a bit too salty. I hope they work on improving the flavor balance in the future. Overall, since the restaurant is still new, there is room for improvement.

"First Visit in March 2022" The newly opened "B-style's" at New Chitose Airport Terminal Building is a shop that mainly deals with livestock products, operated by "Sapporo Barnabafu Foods". Barnabafu Foods also operates "Obento-dokoro Bishoku Chitose" and "Chaya Bishoku Chitose" within the airport terminal building. Personally, I thought that there might be some overlap with Barnaba's "Gochisou DELI" in terms of product lineup, but it turns out that "Gochisou DELI" has closed and has been replaced by "B-style's". The main products sold are ham, sausages, and flavored Jingisukan, but they also offer side dishes like Zangi and Menchikatsu, as well as bento items. The side dishes are cooked in the open kitchen with glass windows, giving it a department store basement-like atmosphere. During my first visit, I purchased Wagyu Menchikatsu and Zangi. In short, the ingredients are probably high quality, but the prices are also quite high. A Wagyu Menchikatsu for 600 yen and a small portion of Zangi for 580 yen may make you think twice, even considering airport prices. However, there are other products with better cost performance available as well. In terms of taste, it was generally above average, and if the store operation goes smoothly, there may be some adjustments to the product lineup. On the other hand, they also offer alcoholic beverages like draft beer, and there is a free rest area right in front of the shop, so you can enjoy a drink while nibbling on Zangi. I would like to revisit after some time has passed.

I had a 1000 yen coupon that I wanted to use at New Chitose Airport, and I was planning to use it at this meat sushi place, but they were sold out! They offered me a ready-made ham sushi instead, but I was really craving meat so I ended up buying the Kotletta that I was curious about.
- Kotletta: It was warm but not sure if it was freshly fried. It arrived quickly. I thought it would be like a schnitzel, but it was more like a simple flavored chicken cutlet. It was slightly over-fried, with a bland taste and no spice. It felt like eating a thin, bland chicken cutlet without any sauce.
- Wagyu Menchi Croquette: It was smaller than I expected, almost like a convenience store croquette. It was also over-fried, with a crunchy texture bordering on burnt. The moisture inside seemed to have evaporated, which was a shame considering the good quality of the ingredients. It had a dense, meaty texture but I wouldn't order it again.
