Today's lunch was at Sanzoku Udon. We arrived around noon and there was only one group of customers ahead of us who ordered a small Sanzoku Don and cold udon set. The food arrived in about 12 minutes. Even though it was a small bowl, it had two pieces of meat on top, which was quite satisfying. The chicken was freshly fried and juicy. The seasoning was similar to pork bowl sauce, and overall it was delicious. The udon was chewy and might be a bit difficult for those with dental issues. The dipping sauce was rich in flavor. Overall, I found it more delicious compared to other fast udon chain restaurants where you can eat quickly.

I felt like eating udon, so I visited the restaurant "Sanzoku Udon." It was a hot day, so I chose cold udon, specifically the Goma Tsukemen. I also felt like having some chicken, so I ordered the Tatsutaage Mori. The food arrived in about 15 minutes and looked refreshing! The udon had thin noodles but a firm texture. The tasty Tatsutaage came with about 6 pieces, which was quite filling. The chicken was crispy and delicious, although the flavor was a bit mild. The only downside was that the staff seemed a bit lacking in energy. A smile goes a long way in the service industry!

This is a udon restaurant near Ito Yokado. The exterior looked like a small shop, but when I entered, I was surprised by the spacious seating with chairs and sunken kotatsu tables. The menu is impressive with a wide variety of options. There are various types of udon, as well as rice bowl dishes that can be ordered as a set, such as tempura rice bowl, pork cutlet rice bowl, tuna rice bowl, and curry. The udon comes in hot and cold options, with thin cold noodles in summer and hot pot udon in winter. There are also rice dishes available in mini and regular sizes, including stone-cooked mixed rice. It's more like a restaurant centered around udon and rice dishes rather than just a udon shop. I ordered the signature "Yamabushi Udon" (cold version) and it was served in less than 10 minutes. The noodles were medium thickness with a nice chewy texture. The broth was slightly sweet. The "Yamabushi" topping was chicken breast tempura, which was surprisingly tender and delicious. The dish also had egg and grated yam on top, which paired perfectly with the noodles and broth. The chewy noodles, flavorful broth, and creamy yam blended together beautifully. The egg added a nice touch as well. I finished it in no time. While you can easily get udon at a popular chain restaurant, this place is recommended for a leisurely meal with family or friends!

This is a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. We went there for a family lunch and were surprised by the wide variety of menu options! My husband ordered the oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) and mini udon. The portion size of the oyakodon was impressive. The sweet and savory flavor was just to our liking. I wish I had ordered the mini bowl and udon instead given the portion size. I had the cold chicken tempura udon, and the tempura was crispy and delicious. The udon noodles had a nice texture too. It's amazing that such a delicious tempura dish was only 800 yen! My daughter had the chilled udon with grated radish, and she said it was delicious. The total bill for the three of us was 2,550 yen, which is very reasonable. I can't wait to try more dishes next time! We will definitely be back soon.

Curry udon for 750 yen, rice for 100 yen. It's cold today, so I decided to have something warm for lunch at the Bandit Udon restaurant. They have a wide variety of menu items, but I chose the curry udon. It wasn't spicy, but had a thick and delicious curry flavor. After finishing the udon, I ordered some rice. I put the rice into the curry to make a satisfying ending curry dish.

Today it's chilly, so I decided to warm up with some udon before heading home at a new restaurant I've never been to before. I have been to the Otofuke branch a few times. I went to Tokachi Sanzoku Udon Honpo for the first time today. I arrived at 11:30 am. There were no customers when I arrived, but 2 groups came in after me. The place is located on Inada Street, near the Masya Mugine restaurant. The exterior and interior have a traditional Japanese style. There are counter seats and table seats. Even if you come alone, you can choose your seat. I always order the Mini Sanzoku Don Set (with broth) for 900 yen (tax included) because I like the Sanzoku Yaki. It arrived in about 13 minutes. The menu emphasizes local ingredients and handmade udon. I wonder why the broth is foamy? The udon has a strong texture and is very delicious. I wish the broth was a bit stronger. The Sanzoku Don has a simple image of grilled chicken on rice. It uses chicken thigh meat from Nakasatsunai, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The burnt leeks add a nice flavor, and the sweet and savory sauce drizzled on top is delicious. The customer next to me ordered the Nabe Yaki Udon. Ah, Nabe Yaki Udon sounds good too. I love Nabe Yaki Udon. When I was little and caught a cold, my mother would often make me Nabe Yaki Udon and give me a can of mandarin oranges. I will come back next time to try the Nabe Yaki Udon. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Tokachi Mountain Bandit Udon Honpo! It was my first visit to this udon shop, which has been around for quite some time. It's one of the few udon shops in Obihiro. Today, for some reason, I was in the mood for light udon. I ordered the Tororo Konbu Udon for 600 yen. The interior of the shop is quite spacious with many open box seats. The menu has a considerable variety, including set meals. The udon was served in about 5-6 minutes. It had a generous amount of tororo konbu. The portion size was quite substantial. The udon was delicious, with a moderate firmness that I like. I enjoyed dipping the tororo konbu in the broth before eating it with the udon. It was really tasty! The light broth was also very good. The classic kamaboko was tasty as well. I even enjoyed about half of the broth. Thank you, Tokachi Mountain Bandit Udon Honpo, for the meal!

It's a solo business trip lunch. I was in the mood for udon for some reason, not curry or ramen. But in Obihiro, there are many soba shops but few udon shops. Without researching, I ended up here on the way. There is a parking lot in front of the shop, but it seems insufficient for the spacious interior. About 5 spaces. It was exactly 12 o'clock, but there were no customers yet. Did I make a mistake? I feel a little anxious. It's my first visit to an udon shop, so I ordered a hot pot instead of cold udon due to the cold weather. But there are various unique items on the menu, which makes it difficult to choose. The order arrived in about 10 minutes. By then, more customers had arrived, which was reassuring. The hot pot arrived piping hot. It was filled with plenty of vegetables like Chinese cabbage, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and green onions. I was pleasantly surprised by the meat. It was so tender that it fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. As for the noodles, they were warm, so I couldn't feel much chewiness, but I liked their thickness. The broth was light. Personally, I felt like a stronger flavor would have been better, but it would be just right for when you want something refreshing. I later found out that they have another branch in Onoe as well. It seems to get crowded on weekends.

I dislike the plain mountain bandit tempura because it is too heavy.

I came to my local town of Obihiro (=´∀`) Originally, I planned to go to Rancho El Paso for lunch, but it was really crowded at lunchtime, so we gave up today. Instead, we decided to go to the recommended "Yamazoku Udon" with my companion. The parking lot was busy, but the inside of the restaurant had plenty of seats and was spacious. We sat at a table with a sunken kotatsu and ordered the "Chicken Tempura Udon." It wasn't visible in the photos, but besides the chicken tempura, there were also eggplant, pumpkin, and shiso leaves included. There were five of us dining, and the dishes were brought out in the order they were ready, so we got to enjoy them freshly made. The tempura was more voluminous than it appeared in the photos! The udon wasn't visible at first, hidden beneath the tempura w The chicken tempura came with three pieces (´∀`) It was piping hot and crispy! The batter was on the thicker side, but it didn't feel heavy, perhaps due to the good oil used. The chicken was lean with little fat, so it felt a bit lacking in flavor. There was shichimi on the table, but it would be nice to have wasabi as well (´ω`) The eggplant seemed to use half of a large one and was fried perfectly. The udon noodles had a good chewiness and were a bit firm, which I liked. By the way, there was finely chopped seaweed and plenty of ginger hidden on top of the udon ☆ For 800 yen, this volume was very satisfying (*´∀`*) Other dishes ordered by the group were the "Yamazoku Udon" and a set of mini Tekka-don and mini udon, which received high praise for the flavorful chicken in the Yamazoku Udon. I would like to try that too. The Tekka-don, which seemed to have lots of tuna in the photo, actually had three large pieces of marinated tuna, which looked quite dark...(-.-;) I tried a piece, and hmm... It didn't seem very fresh. There were also options like nabeyaki udon and tsukemen, making it a place suitable for any season. Everyone was happy with the udon dishes (*^^*) Even though I used to live in Obihiro, it was my first visit to this place, and I found a great restaurant. I will definitely come back when I return to Obihiro (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) Thank you for the meal☆

I felt like eating cold udon, so I decided to go in after a long time. They offer a set menu where you can choose between udon with a mini rice bowl or a rice bowl with a mini udon. Of course, you can also order items separately. There are many different types of rice bowls to choose from, making it hard to decide. The mini rice bowl seems to have the same lineup. For the mini udon, you can choose between warm or cold udon with dipping sauce or broth. I thought the sauce and broth were a bit salty, but the overall taste was delicious.

I used to often have the specialty udon noodles or rice bowls at this restaurant, but I found the taste to be lacking. As the weather in Tokachi is getting hotter, I decided to have some refreshing udon nearby after a long time. I ordered the plain udon noodles (which is like dipping noodles at this restaurant) and it was served quickly. The menu is simple, so the taste of the udon was clear and delicious, especially since it was freshly cooked. While I didn't find the specialty dishes or the variations appealing enough to post about, the rice bowl had a bland and overly sweet sauce that disappointed me. I thought I wouldn't visit again, but the dipping udon was good. However, it seemed like the restaurant was trying to promote their specialty udon, as the staff asked me if I only wanted one serving of the dipping udon. This restaurant is always crowded and popular, with lots of dishes to clean up and busy staff when I visited.

When it comes to having lunch in Obihiro City, I often rely on Sanzoku Udon. My go-to order is always the "Cold Toriten Udon". I love it so much that I don't even bother trying anything else. The udon noodles have a great texture and are topped with three pieces of juicy toriten (chicken tempura) and vegetable tempura, along with grated daikon radish and soy sauce. And all of this for just ¥800, which is a great deal considering the generous portion of tempura.

Hot summer calls for a refreshing dish like the Spicy Chicken Udon at Tokachi Sanzoku Udon Honpo. This popular udon restaurant in Tokachi has two branches in Obihiro city and one in Otofuke town, attracting office workers, families, and female customers. The spacious interior offers counter seats, table seats, and even sunken kotatsu-style seating. The modern mountain hut atmosphere is more reminiscent of a stylish bandit rather than a rugged one, fitting well with the clientele. The menu is known for its creative udon dishes, with summer specials like Chilled Udon, Ume Oroshi Udon, Sesame Dipping Udon, and the one I chose - the Spicy Chicken Udon. Priced at ¥900, this dish features lettuce, tomatoes, and white scallions on top of a soup-like udon with a hint of spiciness. Despite being a Sichuan dish, the spice level is mild and suitable for all palates. The thin noodles are perfect for soaking up the flavorful broth, showcasing a strong texture and bounce that is characteristic of Tokachi Sanzoku Udon. Using Hokkaido wheat flour, they have managed to achieve the desired texture that is often lacking in other udon shops. If you're looking for authentic udon with a satisfying chewiness, this is the place to visit. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in Hokkaido!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2 o'clock. The parking lot is a bit small and difficult to find a spot. I always park by backing up. This restaurant offers a variety of rice bowl dishes. I didn't take photos of all the menu items, but they can be roughly categorized as: - Hot udon - Cold udon - Summer limited cold udon (thin noodles) - Nabe-yaki simmered udon - Ishiyaki zosui - Rice dishes Today, I ordered the cold mushroom tempura udon for 750 yen. The tempura included shiitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms. It was served with grated daikon radish, ginger, and lemon. Since I ordered the cold udon, the noodles had a good texture. The tempura was also hot and crispy. The dipping sauce was a bit light for my taste. When I got home, I drank a glass of cold tea. The noodles are thick, so I wouldn't recommend it to those who prefer thin noodles. My companion ordered the shrimp tempura udon for 950 yen. It came with two large shrimp tempura, pumpkin, eggplant, and shiso leaves. They accommodated our request for less noodles without changing the price. They also offer value sets with rice bowls and udon, but even the mini rice bowls seemed filling for women. Takeout is available, with options like 180 yen for udon noodles, 400 yen for udon and dipping sauce set, and a 50 yen container fee. Overall, I think the portion of udon is quite generous.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very charming. The menu is extensive and has a unique impression. However, the udon noodles... they are not at all firm (soggy) (crying). Maybe they were boiled too much? No, I think something was different in the process of making the noodles. When eating, the udon noodles snap apart (laughs). It was disappointing. I often visit Obihiro, but I think only a few places with pork bowl are delicious. Maybe the taste preferences in the region are different.

Today I wanted to eat udon. It had been quite a while since I last visited. The restaurant is located next to "Mochizou" in the same building. They offer a variety of set meals with rice, as well as choices between kake udon and tsuke udon. Other options include nabeyaki udon, individual udon dishes, and rice dishes. You can also choose to have a large rice portion with a small udon portion. I ordered the set meal of small katsudon and kake udon (ate too much). The katsudon portion was surprisingly generous for a small size (enough for women, but may not be sufficient for men). On the other hand, the udon portion felt small, but after eating it, it was actually just right. The chewy noodles were very delicious. The set meal might be a bit much for women, but men will find it easy to finish (I also found it easy). I left the restaurant feeling full and completely satisfied. Inside, there is a raised seating area on the left and regular table seating on the right. Prices range from 600 to 1,100 yen, so it's fairly average. There was a sign for "Today's Special" at the entrance, so they may offer daily specials. The parking lot in front of the store is always full.

I had the bandit udon and yukimi udon (or something like that with grated yam) at this restaurant. The bandit udon was cold udon topped with fried chicken breast, which looked like a small portion at first but turned out to be quite filling and delicious. The yukimi udon had grated yam on top of the noodles, but my wife felt it was a bit lacking. The noodles had a good texture, but as fans of Sanuki udon, we were hoping for a bit more. Both dishes were around 800 yen each, which seemed reasonable. Overall, we would consider going back if we have the chance. After the meal, we visited the adjacent Daifuku Mochi store and got a discount on some leftover mochi, which made us feel like we got a good deal.
