I enjoyed eating lamb with salt and pepper, it really hit the spot after a tiring day of skiing. When in Hokkaido, you have to try Genghis Khan!

I stayed at a hotel on a snowboarding trip and decided to eat dinner outside since the hotel did not offer dinner. The restaurant was within walking distance from the hotel and was bustling with many customers, all of whom were foreigners. We were seated at the counter and placed our order right away. We were very hungry, so it was great that our order came quickly. The recommended dish was the lamb, which was delicious with minimal gaminess. We also ordered a few other items and drinks, and the total bill for two people was surprisingly less than 4000 yen. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I go to Niseko!

When I went to Niseko at the beginning of the year, I was afraid I might not be able to find a place for dinner. Luckily, we were able to get a table at a lively and bustling restaurant. However, there seemed to be a shortage of staff, so it took a while to place our order. The all-you-can-eat option had a time limit of 60 minutes, so it might be something to keep in mind for those interested. We opted for ordering a la carte, and the lamb dish we ordered was delicious. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed, so I would recommend ordering a la carte. The strength of the drinks we ordered varied each time, which was a little off-putting, but overall, the restaurant had a casual and friendly atmosphere.

This is a restaurant we went to after skiing. The area is great for skiing with lots of snow, but not ideal for walking around looking for a restaurant. I remember struggling through the snow-covered streets to get there. Once inside, the warmth and delicious smell of meat was so inviting. The menu was a bit lacking, but the food was very tasty and filling. Nearby restaurants seem to be becoming more Westernized, but this place still had the old Niseko charm. I would love to visit again someday.

On the second day in Niseko, we went to a restaurant because the first day was disappointing and we were looking forward to trying Genghis Khan (grilled lamb). The menu offered an all-you-can-eat option for 2000 yen per person (lamb, pork belly, chicken, vegetables, rice), but we noticed that the premium lamb was 1000 yen while the regular lamb was 900 yen. The price difference was only 100 yen! So, we decided to skip the all-you-can-eat option and ordered the premium lamb. It was surprisingly delicious, tender, and not gamey at all. We ended up ordering two servings at first, then added more servings and also some pork belly. We were so full and satisfied that we had a great second day!

I visited this place only once last year. They seem to offer all-you-can-eat Genghis Khan (grilled mutton) and now they also have lunch options. When I went, I ordered a la carte. The interior had a simple feel with basic chairs and tables, and there wasn't too much smoke which was good. The taste was neither good nor bad, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. I'm not sure if they were competing with the background music, but the constantly changing songs were annoying. However, I don't dislike the taste itself, so I would like to go again if I have the chance.
