This Seiko Mart, located a bit away from Shin-Sapporo Station, offers dine-in options (currently closed due to COVID-19) and is open 24 hours. It is situated in a residential area along Sangosu-dori, between the JR Chitose Line and the Notsuborokawa River. Just pass under the Chitose Line viaduct, head towards Ebetsu, and it's the first signalized intersection. It's on the first floor of the Suzuki Building. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Shin-Sapporo Station. Visited again on May 8, 2022, around 5:00 PM. I was feeling tired from cycling over 50 km the previous day, so I only did a round trip to Kitahiroshima Station for my cycling training. I felt a bit peckish, so I decided to have the Katsudon from the hot chef for dinner. It cost 540 yen. Since I don't have a microwave at home, the hot chef option was very convenient. After returning home, washing my hands and gargling, I quickly heated up some water and started eating. I finished it before the water boiled. The pork cutlet was thick, with hardly any fatty parts, and there were plenty of ingredients like onions. The seasoning was a bit strong for my taste, but it was okay for a quick meal. Truly grateful!

Kitsune Udon is a type of common convenience store udon that you microwave. However, the noodles have a good texture, and the broth is authentic. It's not just watered-down, but you can taste the richness of the broth. I have tried udon from other companies, but honestly, Seicomart's udon is in a league of its own. It can definitely compete with udon from other places. Thank you for the meal. I'm glad Seicomart is in Hokkaido.

There are two types of pork bowls: beef bowl-style pork bowl and Obihiro-style pork bowl. Hot Chef is the most convenient restaurant to enjoy Obihiro-style pork bowl. I had it for lunch today after a long time. The pork bowl is as thick and flavorful as ever, with a delicious sauce. It gives me the energy I need for work in the afternoon. The amount of rice is just right, providing enough sugar and protein. The vegetables were kinpira gobou. By the way, the owner (I think) of this place is elderly but still working hard, which I find impressive. I appreciate the attentive service. Thank you for the meal. It's the kind of taste that makes you want to eat it regularly, like a taste from home.

I tried the hot chef's katsudon for the first time and it was delicious! I usually don't buy bento boxes from convenience stores, but I wanted to try this one. It was a good opportunity to use bento boxes since I was avoiding eating out due to the pandemic. The katsudon was served hot and the rice was flavorful. The katsu was tender and the sauce was sweet and savory. The egg was cooked perfectly with a runny yolk. The onions added a nice texture to the dish. Overall, I was satisfied with the taste, especially considering the price. I also tried the sakuramochi-like mochi which was soft and delicious. It was a great meal, thank you!
