This is a restaurant in the neighborhood that usually serves Western food but turns into a ramen shop only on Sundays. I was curious about it, so I decided to visit. I went there after 11 o'clock, but it was already full and I had to wait outside. It seems to be popular. This time, I ordered the soy sauce wonton noodles and char siu rice bowl. The ramen soup was delicious, and I was particularly impressed by the onion in the ingredients. There was no spiciness or bitterness at all. The quality is really high. I wish I had gone earlier. Thank you for the meal. (*´ω`)

The long-awaited ramen journey took me to "Ramen Sun" in Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo City, where they only operate during lunchtime on Sundays. The "Wonton Noodles - Light Soy Sauce" features a refreshing soy sauce broth paired with thin straight noodles. It comes with flavorful wontons and tender chashu, making it a delicious ramen. The "Chicken Shio" has a light chicken broth with thin straight noodles. Topped with chopped shiso and ginger, it has a refreshing flavor.

Today I finally tried the "Ajitama Chashu Don" at Ramen Sun (Wine Restaurant yama). This ramen shop, open only twice a month on Sundays, is known for their delicious ramen as well as their Ajitama Chashu Don. The presentation of the dish sets it apart from other Chashu Don at different restaurants. Breaking the half-boiled seasoned egg and wrapping it with the chashu around the rice, the combination is simply irresistible. Sliced onions sandwiched between the chashu and rice add a nice texture contrast! The ramen I had was the "Light Soy Sauce" flavor, with a clear soup base made from chicken, niboshi (dried sardines), and soy sauce. The thin noodles were topped with spinach, finely chopped green onions, wakame seaweed, and diced onions mixed with lemon zest for added flavor. Next on my list is the "Spicy Curry"!

Ramen Sun, a ramen shop open twice a month on Sundays at the Tsutaya Bookstore in Ebetsu, also serves ramen at their main business, Wine Dining Yama. I tried the Potage (Rich Chicken Broth Ramen) for lunch, which had a good thick soy sauce-flavored broth with straight noodles and a spicy kick from chili oil. It was delicious and I finished every drop of the soup. Next time, I will try the Chashu Don from Ramen Sun and the Spicy Curry from Wine Dining Yama!

YAMA, a wine dining in Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo, has a separate ramen shop open only for lunch on Sundays. I discovered this place while reading a blog about my favorite ramen shop, "Amewa Yasashiku." The interior of the restaurant is stylish and has a calming atmosphere. The service is excellent, as expected from a restaurant. I ordered the chicken shoyu ramen. I also enjoyed a delicious draft beer, as it is a wine dining after all. The ramen had a thick and rich broth with a good balance of chicken umami and seafood flavor. The tare sauce with black garlic and spicy shichimi oil, topped with onions and citrus, added a refreshing touch. The chashu was perfectly cooked and surprisingly had plenty of kelp simmered in soy sauce underneath. The noodles were firm with a low water content, thin but well coated with the soup. The portion of noodles was quite generous. Overall, it was a sophisticated and adult-flavored ramen with a mix of Japanese and Western elements, perfect for women. It was a delicious and rich chicken shoyu ramen. I look forward to trying their salt ramen next time. It would be great if they added miso and other options to their menu. Thank you for the delicious chicken shoyu ramen!
