After-meal dessert. I visited Panda-yaki San. Panda-yaki with custard, cream, and chocolate cream (each 150 yen). The fillings are light and the skin is also light. The portion size is big but it's light so it's easy to eat! It reminds me of Rumoi's pork-chan yaki. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I found a panda-shaped pastry while lost on the road and decided to buy it out of curiosity. It's a type of baked snack. They also had sundaes and shaved ice. Unfortunately, they didn't have iced coffee. It's a good snack for a break during a walk in the nearby park, especially for panda lovers. The chocolate was mixed with custard. Eating something sweet makes me crave coffee... Oh, I was actually going to buy bread.

Visit date: February 9, 2020. On this day, I had soba noodles for lunch before visiting Panda Yaki with a friend. It's located in a residential area, which made me wonder if they were open for business at first, but someone quickly came out from inside. Items purchased: Panda Yaki with red bean paste, cream, and chocolate mix - each for 150 yen. I decided to buy one of each flavor. The texture of the skin was a bit sticky. It would be better if it was cooked more thoroughly. All three flavors were decent. The chocolate mix had chocolate cream inside. One of them had an eggshell mixed in with the cream. It's a nice snack for the locals. I might come back for shaved ice when it gets warmer. Thank you for the meal.

It's Kushiro, I'm alone. I had ramen. Next, I wanted to eat soft serve ice cream, so I checked my notes which mentioned "panda cake?" Why panda cake? Is it made of pandas? When I arrived, it turned out to be the shop that was temporarily closed when I came before. There were three kids in front of the shop eating something, so I couldn't get close. Just then, a car parked and I couldn't go in again. I waited for a while, but the car left, and the kids didn't go anywhere. I decided to approach them, but the sign didn't say "soft serve ice cream," it said "panda ice cream?" What's that? I cautiously asked a woman, "What flavor is it today?" She suddenly took out her phone and said, "Just kidding, we don't have soft serve ice cream, but we have soft ice cream." She seemed wary, so I didn't ask further. Why make the other person wary with unnecessary things? If only they explained a little more casually. Even if I don't understand the reason, I have to act nice so I don't get reported. "It's 300 yen for the panda ice cream." It's made with cocoa. "Are you okay with that?" "Yes, I'm fine!" Even though I don't understand, I have to act nice so I don't get reported. Is it panda ice cream? It has 11.5% milk fat? Seriously? I might turn into a holy panda. The panda drawing is so bad, worse than mine. I once made a kid cry when asked to draw a dog. It was hard and crumbly. This plastic spoon might break. The panda is delicious, but it's better to let it sit for a while. The powder on it is tasty too. This powder looks dangerous. It's delicious but risky. The powder makes me cringe. It was a delicious but poorly made panda.

After finishing club activities, my friend wanted to eat shaved ice, so we came here! We also bought 2 panda-shaped cakes (choco mix). I forgot to take a picture of the shaved ice (^o^;) It's like the frappes you see at festivals, but here they give you a lot more. It's so messy, it spills everywhere. Maybe they should use a bigger container? The panda cakes here have a soft and fluffy texture. However, the dough itself is not sweet at all, and the cream inside is also not very sweet. The chocolate is just a regular chocolate sauce you can buy at the supermarket. After eating, there's a strange feeling left on the tongue from the dough (*_*) The kids seemed to really like it though! (*^-^)

This is a place in Kushiro City, located near Aikoku Nishi Park in Aikoku Nishi. To find the exact location, as always, please check the map on Tabelog. My companion wanted to buy something called "Panda-yaki," so we visited this shop for the first time. The shop is located right in the middle of a residential area, hidden in an alley that you wouldn't notice from the main street. We bought two of each of the three flavors of "Panda-yaki" and left the shop. Back at home, we tried the "Choco Mix" flavor. The shape of the pastry resembles a panda face, but the body part can be interpreted in different ways. The pastry has a thick back and a thin front, similar to "oyaki" on the back and "thin-skinned taiyaki" on the front. The taste is sweet with two types of chocolate and cream filling. It's a casual snack that is popular among local children and those with a sweet tooth.

I visited the Panda-Yaki which I was curious about! It's really located next to a park in a residential area, I couldn't find it without entering the address into my GPS (lol). I ordered Panda-Yaki with red bean paste and chocolate mix, each for 130 yen (there are three other cream options). Oh! There's a step stool below the order counter for kids! They said it's there for when little ones come to buy. They put it in a cute handmade paper bag for you. I went back to my car and tried it right away. It's in the shape of a panda (lol). I split it between the head and body and took a bite, the dough is chewy. The red bean paste is a mix of chunky and smooth, with a hint of saltiness to enhance the sweetness. The chocolate mix is a mix of chocolate and cream, similar to a softer version of a chocolate cornet (in my opinion). It's relatively mild in sweetness, so you don't need a drink with it (lol). I enjoyed the Panda-Yaki that felt almost too cute to eat. Thank you for the meal~

The panda-shaped pastries at Aikoku Park are famous, and I used to buy them occasionally since my student days. It seems like they have expanded their menu a bit. I decided to try their soft serve ice cream. The color is not the usual white, but more like a creamy color. When I took a bite, I was surprised by the texture. It was crunchy, almost like there was ice mixed in. It felt refreshing. The taste is also refreshing, almost like a breeze. It's quite delicious, but at 300 yen, it's a bit pricey. Also, it seemed like it was only partially thawed, as it didn't hold its shape well as shown in the picture. Soft serve? Squished ice cream? And then there's the panda-shaped pastries. Since they are not fried, the dough is light and fluffy. It almost feels sad to eat them. I bought three flavors - red bean, cream, and chocolate mix - but I still prefer the chocolate mix the most. I think they should improve the soft serve ice cream. I wish they could at least make it hold its shape better.

I'm sorry. This is a diary entry from last autumn. I went on an ice cream journey in Kushiro and found a shop. The location is a bit hard to find for those who are not locals, you definitely need a car navigation system. I found a prominent building deep in Aikoku Nishi Park. The soft serve ice cream was creamy and easy to eat. I also tried their main item, panda-shaped taiyaki. I thought it would be like regular taiyaki, but it was completely different. It had an amazing chewy texture. This one is delicious. Highly recommended. Overall, the only drawback is that the location is a bit hard to find.
