I ordered a lunch set with fried rice and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu had a mild taste of sansho pepper, which I liked. The tofu was smooth and silky, and paired perfectly with the fried rice. I noticed that the amount of oil in the fried rice is adjusted in the lunch set compared to ordering it as a single item. The fried rice in the set had less oil, making it a good match for the mapo tofu. On the other hand, the single order of fried rice was oily and perfect for when you want a hearty meal. Eating it gave me a rush of endorphins! The only downside was that the single order of fried rice did not come with soup. I hope the owner considers adding soup to the single orders.

Stir-fried spicy chicken and cashew nuts. Located in a residential area. Looks like a house. One customer before me, three after me. Quite popular. They change the menu daily. The salad was plentiful. The cold pork with green onion sauce in a small dish was refreshing. The main chicken dish had various summer vegetables. It wasn't too spicy despite being described as spicy. Thank you for the meal. It was a hidden gem for me.

- Premium Black Sesame Tan Tan Men: 1300 yen - Minced Meat Fried Rice with Black Sesame: 980 yen - Spring Rolls: 600 yen - Meat Gyoza: 580 yen Visited with a friend during lunchtime. They had daily specials and lunch sets, but we wanted to try the Black Sesame Tan Tan Men and Black Sesame Fried Rice, so we ordered them separately to share. The Tan Tan Men had a great aroma of Sansho pepper and was spicy, while the fried rice was well-seasoned and delicious! The additional dim sum was also tasty. If this restaurant was nearby, we would definitely visit regularly for both lunch and dinner.

I ordered chilled sesame tantan noodles and gyoza, but forgot to take a photo. I also ordered fried rice and fried chicken. The chilled sesame tantan noodles were incredibly delicious. The thin noodles were cooked perfectly and the black sesame sauce with Sichuan pepper was amazing. Mixing it all together made it even better. It seemed like a limited-time menu item for a few days, but I hope they make it a regular menu item, at least during the summer. The gyoza was juicy and tasty, with a chewy skin. It had a hint of star anise flavor. The homemade chili oil was also delicious. The fried chicken and fried rice were all delicious as well. Thank you for the meal.

I had Chongqing-style mixed noodles called "Wanzza Mian". When ordering, they asked, "Is it okay if it's spicy?" but it wasn't that spicy. It was actually more numbing than spicy. There are not many authentic Chinese restaurants in Sapporo, so I'm happy to find a place like this.

I used it for Sunday lunch. At first glance, the tantan noodles seemed spicy with the meat miso on top, but the sesame also had an effect, making it very mild. The fried rice had dried shrimp in it, which was unusual. The Chinese set always comes with zasai, but I don't like zasai. In this menu, instead of zasai, there was pickled cucumber, which was good! The almond jelly was also delicious. It was a very filling lunch.

On a certain weekday, I had a late lunch at a Chinese restaurant located in Kita 3-jo Nishi 23-chome, Chuo Ward. The parking lot can accommodate up to 6 cars in a row. Upon arrival, I realized that the restaurant has undergone various changes in the past but the interior remains largely the same, with a not very spacious space consisting of 3 counter tables and 5 regular tables. The background music is an unknown genre of stylish music playing. On this day, I decided to try the "Dan Dan noodles and fried rice set (1300 yen)" which comes with almond tofu. Taking the first bite... Wow, this is good. The noodles are thin and yellow with a crunchy texture, quite innovative. The soup has a layer of white sesame with a hint of peanut-like fragrance on top, and underneath there is a clear, high-transparency soy sauce base with perhaps beef bone. It's very refreshing, and I can imagine liking the normal ramen soup as well. The balance of chili oil, light spiciness, and a light numbing sensation of Sichuan pepper are well combined. The ingredients include asparagus, possibly minced meat cut here, bean sprouts, bok choy, and green onions. Moving on to the half portion fried rice on the menu... Oh, this is nice. It's a substantial serving, almost a full portion, with a moist and fluffy texture, and a good mix of egg, chives, char siu, and dried shrimp for flavor. The pickled cucumber with plenty of umami and the rich almond tofu with a floral taste on the surface were a delightful way to end the meal. I look forward to trying the ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

23-2-21 Nishi 3-jo Kita, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. One Flat Kita 3-jo. Located in the Maruyama area of Chuo Ward, Sapporo, it is considered the Kita-Maruyama area as it is north of the subway. The restaurant used to operate in a mixed-use building in Susukino but has now moved to a residential area in Maruyama. It is a two-story detached house with the first floor serving as the restaurant. There is a parking lot in front of the store, with a menu sign displayed outside. Upon entering, if you go to the right, you will find the restaurant area, while going to the left leads to the kitchen space. The interior of the restaurant has table seating on the right, a bar area on the left, and a counter seating area in front of it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is more reminiscent of a Chinese restaurant compared to when it was in Susukino. The reviewer ordered the Tan Tan Men and Half-Fried Rice set for 1300 yen. The Tan Tan Men had a visually appealing presentation with minced meat, green vegetables, and a slightly savory soup base. The soup was lighter than expected but became more flavorful after mixing in some sesame seeds. The spiciness was not overwhelming, and the reviewer added homemade chili oil to adjust the heat level. The noodles were thin and straight, with a strong wheat flavor that was highly enjoyable. The Half-Fried Rice had a generous portion size with ingredients such as eggs, roast pork, pickled mustard greens, and dried shrimp. The fried rice had an elegant taste, although the reviewer found it slightly lacking in saltiness. The pickled mustard greens served as a good accompaniment to enhance the overall flavor. For dessert, the reviewer tried the almond jelly served in a small cup, which was smooth and rich in almond flavor. The addition of what seemed like a liqueur on top added a pleasant aroma to the dessert. Overall, the reviewer was highly satisfied with the generous portion size and delicious food. They mentioned that they would be inclined to visit the restaurant again, especially for the daily lunch specials.

Sapporo is covered in deep snow today, making it hard to get around. In the mood for Chinese food, we headed to this place. We ordered the Five Ingredient Ankake Yakisoba, which had large portions and just the right flavor. Especially the fried rice that my partner had was delicious. The half portion of fried rice set was surprisingly generous in size. It was a delicious Chinese restaurant with great service. Thank you for the meal!

On weekdays during lunchtime, there are plenty of parking spaces in front of the new location of Maruku, which moved from the 4th Fujii Building on Route 36. Their speciality is the Five-Ingredient Fried Rice for 900 yen, which has a shrimp aroma. It contains sakura shrimp and regular shrimp. The green onions also have a nice charred flavor. The soup is a thick egg and carrot soup, with a moist texture. It seems to have a good reputation for its taste.

After moving to the new location, I visited a restaurant that used to be in Susukino, such as Bakuteh, and went there about three times. I ordered Ankake Yakisoba, Crab Ankake Chahan, Qingjiao Rou Si, Harumaki, and Shumai. It had been so long that I forgot the baseline taste, but I felt that the taste was different from when it was in Susukino. I couldn't quite grasp the direction of the seasoning in general. I regretted not ordering Mapo Tofu after finishing the meal. I didn't need two types of Ankake dishes. If I have the chance, I would like to try it again.

Maruku, a Chinese bar in Susukino, has moved to the Kitamachi area and is now called "Chugokusa Maruku." I finally had the chance to visit on a day when the timing was right. The atmosphere in the secluded private room was very comfortable. The weekly special lunch was sweet and sour pork, with a strong aroma of black vinegar. The rice was glossy, and the Chinese-style egg soup was thick and included cabbage. The sweet and sour sauce with the pork was mild and flavorful, and the vegetables added a nice crunch. Overall, I enjoyed the subtle seasoning of the dish. Considering the quality and price, I think it would be best to visit for drinks in the evening.

In the area near Kitazono Mountain, a curry restaurant was replaced by a new restaurant called "Chuuka Ryouri Maruku" which opened on November 9, 2021. The restaurant has 5-6 parking spaces in front. The interior remains mostly the same with just a wallpaper change. The entrance still has the stone statues of "Baikinman" and "Shokupanman". We visited on a weekday afternoon with just two of us. We ordered the "Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba" for 900 yen and the "Sanratan Men" for 900 yen. The yakisoba had a soy sauce flavor with various ingredients like shrimp, squid, cabbage, burdock, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and pork. The noodles were crispy on the outside. The Sanratan Men had a slightly thick and tangy soup without overwhelming sourness. Both dishes had a slightly stronger flavor than expected. Overall, the food was decent and well-prepared. The staff was attentive and saw us off politely.

The restaurant opened 8 days late. I arrived 30 minutes before opening and waited in the parking lot because I was running low on gas and turned off the engine. When the restaurant opened, the 3 counter seats were already taken, which actually hindered business. The table layout was also poorly arranged, and there was a risk of it becoming full with just 3 people. In fact, with 4 people, there was no room for additional customers. I wanted to order sweet and sour pork, but I was tempted by the limited 40 lunch special for 1,000 yen, which included spicy stir-fried autumn eggplant and beef, as well as shark fin steamed egg. The egg drop soup had a light flavor, but it was delicious. The main stir-fry dish also had a mild taste, but it was still tasty. The problem was the shark fin steamed egg. Without reading the description, I ate it happily with a soy sauce flavor. I'm sure the five-ingredient stir-fried noodles are also delicious with a soy sauce flavor. So, where was the shark fin? ① I didn't notice it ② It wasn't in there ③ I couldn't tell. I'm silly. Since it's nearby, I plan to order sweet and sour pork or five-ingredient stir-fried noodles next time.

The seasoning is well-balanced. I had mapo eggplant for lunch. It may suit some people's tastes, but the oil might be a bit strong. I also had a set of tantanmen and half fried rice. I wonder if the term "half fried rice" is necessary? The portion was large, but not really suitable for those who don't eat a lot. The taste was not bad, but nothing particularly stood out. The service was polite. Overall, the direction of the restaurant is unclear.
