I found a very nice bar at the north exit of Ogikubo Station. It seems to have the concept of serving champagne by the glass all year round, along with oysters and crabs, making it a bar with a rich selection of dishes. The cocktails are also quite creatively made.

This is my favorite bar that I visit regularly. The menu changes frequently, so I’ll share some information. They offer unique drinks like whiskey with dashi (a Japanese broth) that varies by season, as well as delicious fruit cocktails that are not your standard options. There are many original cocktails available, but they also have a wide selection of whiskeys and champagnes. The food is excellent because there’s a chef on site, and it’s a pleasant surprise to enjoy the pairings with fresh oysters or a whole crab. The master of the bar is very knowledgeable and passionate, so if you ask for recommendations, you can hear fascinating stories. Since they have a lot of cocktails, it can take some time to prepare them, and it can get a bit busy, leading to longer wait times. However, the enjoyable atmosphere more than makes up for it. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great bar or to those who feel that traditional bars might be intimidating. It has a nice café-like vibe in a good way.

This restaurant has a unique interior, creating a very atmospheric space. There’s a beautifully organized bar in Ogikubo, with a spacious area behind the counter. On top of that, the food is delicious. It’s located in the dining area to the right after exiting the north exit of Ogikubo Station. I visited as a second stop, and the dishes looked so appealing that I couldn’t help but order the assorted appetizers. This place is definitely a must-try for the food. It’s excellent. The cocktail menu is quite unique, yet it is arranged in a way that makes it easy for beginners to understand and order. The offerings are truly distinct: persimmon, boiled peanuts, salad with apple and celery, sweetfish tempura, kasubo sea bream, and prosciutto with figs. I was told that they also offer course meals, which I’m curious about for my next visit. It’s a great place to start with. Both the cocktails and the food are outstanding. The staff provides thorough explanations for both the drinks and the dishes. I’ll definitely visit again. Thank you very much!

It's a rare bar in the city that specializes in fresh oysters, crab, and champagne. The champagne is served by the glass, pulled from bottles that have just been opened, and since it’s chosen by the bartender, a skilled woman, there's no chance of getting a bad one. You can tell she knows her champagne well, as the quality is always excellent. This place has a wide selection of alcohol, including some unique liqueurs and sherries that the bartender recommends, which can be overwhelming when trying to choose. But I guess I can just keep coming back to explore more. Unlike typical bars, the food here is plentiful and surprisingly delicious. The bartender often pairs food with drinks, which enhances both the appetite and enjoyment of the drinks. I occasionally think about how I wouldn’t be able to come here while on a diet. The bar is filled with antiques, including glasses, lamps, and chairs. Because they use antique glasses, each cocktail feels like a work of art. Overall, I believe this is a place that offers a completely unique experience you can’t find elsewhere.

After having yakitori, I was searching for a second location and came across Enfants Terribles. There’s a street filled with bars, and I was unsure about which one to choose. However, I noticed a sign at the entrance of Enfants Terribles that said "champagne," and since my companion loves champagne, we decided to enter despite some hesitation. As soon as I opened the door, a lovely space unfolded before me. I had an instinctive feeling that it was going to be great. The bar is quite spacious, with around 8-9 counter seats and 3-4 tables, making it suitable for both small and large parties. It’s run by a female bartender with 17 years of experience, and she has created a place that reflects her unique world. I absolutely loved the ambiance, which skillfully incorporates antiques, fitting my personal taste perfectly. There are many original drinks available, making it enjoyable to choose what to have. Although it’s a bar, it can also be used as a café, and since there’s Wi-Fi and power outlets, I noticed some customers working on their laptops while enjoying light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. The chef is from a Japanese culinary background, and you can feel the dedication in the food (I forgot to take a picture of the menu…). Is there any bar that serves crab, oysters, and homemade karasumi? I certainly didn’t know of any, so it was a good learning experience to see what a bar can offer. I was full and couldn't eat a hearty meal, but the "clubhouse sandwich" I had around 1 AM was delicious. Looking back at my photos, it seems I spent from 10 PM to 2 AM at the bar, as it was truly a comfortable place. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the experience!

✍ Order Details: Anmitsu, parfait, pomegranate oolong, mango and darjeeling frozen tea, biwa champagne ☕️ The space accommodates about 7 groups. It’s a stylish café bar with a beautiful interior and menu...! All the furniture is antique and there are many unique pieces you won’t find elsewhere. The drinks include a variety of non-alcoholic cocktails served in cute glasses that are very Instagrammable. The mango and darjeeling fruit tea was really delicious. There aren't many cafés around Ogikubo, so it might be worth remembering! You can enjoy delicious food and great drinks in a stylish atmosphere. Just adding a touch of plum to the Negroni I always drink transforms it into something truly delicious. It’s also unique to this place to enjoy various cocktails while reminiscing over antique glasses. I had a wonderful meal today as well. Thank you for the delicious experience!

(This is the 530th store in the Ogikubo area.) This shop is located in the Ogikubo Ginza shopping street. The restaurant is on the second floor and has a counter and tables, creating a dimly lit atmosphere with an adult vibe. Interestingly, the name of the restaurant translates from French to "The Terrible Children." They specialize in oysters, crabs, and champagne. I had the Champagne Charrie Carton Noir (1,350 yen), which had a slightly reddish hue, was dry, and crisp, pairing perfectly with the oysters. The fresh oysters included the Iwate Prefecture Akasaki variety (500 yen each) and the Hyogo Prefecture Sakoshi variety (500 yen each). It seems they serve fresh oysters year-round, making this a valuable spot for oyster lovers. For a starter, I had the shrimp escabeche, yuzu and cabbage salad, and strawberry, all of which were well-prepared and complemented the champagne nicely. Finally, I enjoyed a warm clam soup. The total was 3,400 yen (tax included). Thank you for the meal!

I visited shortly after they opened and enjoyed a glass of champagne while waiting. I had fresh oysters and appetizers, followed by warm mushroom potage and beef stew. This was my third visit, and it was the first time I had a meal there. The attention to detail in the menu is impressive, and I look forward to planning my drinks and food combinations on days when I have more time. If you communicate your food choices in advance, they can suggest appropriate drinks and serve them at a suitable pace. On weekends, they offer two types of champagne, and for still wines, they can open about five to six varieties by the glass. Apparently, they preserve the wine with argon gas, which extends its shelf life compared to usual. I didn’t go for cocktails this time since I had other plans later, but I’d love to start with a martini, enjoy a meal, and finish off with a cocktail next time.

It's quite rare to find a bar where you can drink champagne by the glass. If you get too carried away and order a bottle, it can lighten your wallet (by the way, card payment is accepted). Otherwise, the prices are typical for a bar. Cocktails are delicious, but even a simple whiskey and water can be enjoyable. The bartenders have excellent skills in shaking, building, and stirring. Since there are female bartenders and great customer service, there's no need to feel tense. The interior is also beautiful, making this bar highly recommended.
