"I saw on Twitter that they are open at night to prepare the soup, so I decided to come and eat. It was not crowded on a weekday night. The soup was delicious. It's interesting to notice various things when you taste it again. The soup was thin, like a dry sake. But it had a unique aroma and great flavor. It was so delicious that it made me shiver. The best. I got a refill and it was a feast. Thank you for the meal!"

I was interested in this small shop that looked like a food stall village. There are about 8 seats inside the shop, but you can also eat at the outdoor tables. When I went, there was no one there, but while I was there, 2 groups of 2 people each entered, and 2 groups also ordered from outside. It was very lively. The shop is run by the owner and a support staff. I ordered ramen for 700 yen, 3 gyoza for 300 yen, and a lemon sour for 500 yen. I asked for the noodles to be firm. The ramen had straight thin noodles with wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and chashu. There was a lot of pickled ginger available for self-service. The soup was a cloudy pork bone broth, but it wasn't too strong or heavy. I also had a second helping of noodles for 150 yen.

JR Kitami Station is a 4-minute walk away. There is a shop in the Yatai Jinman Village. Due to its location, it opens at 8 pm, which is later than usual. The shop is small, with only a few L-shaped counter seats. You can also eat outside the shop or at a table. I visited on a weekday night. On this day, I ordered the ramen for 700 yen. It was the classic tonkotsu Nagahama ramen. The service was quick from ordering to serving. The char siu, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions on the side were great! The balance between the soup and noodles was also good.

I went to Kitami for a quick greeting drink and ended with ramen! They took me to a place like a street food village. They said they could make it spicy, so I asked for all the spiciness they had. They left a little for the next customer. Wow! It was wake-up spicy! But the tonkotsu was delicious. The unique smell in the restaurant was minimal, and the air was clean. Spicy tonkotsu ramen in a clean environment! It was the most authentic tonkotsu ramen, even though it might be the farthest from its hometown.

On October 23, 2020, after work, we all went to Ramen Kenta in Hakata Nagahama together. Although Hakata Ramen and Nagahama Ramen are technically different, they are both included in the name here. I wonder if they thought they wouldn't get caught in Kitami. When we tried to order, we were told that they were out of thin noodles. Instead, they offered curly noodles, but it made me question if they really care about the noodles. The tonkotsu ramen with non-thin noodles was mediocre in taste. My colleague from Fukuoka also had a disappointed look on their face, so I guess that's how it is.

Visited on May 1, 2019 at the Yataimura in Kitami City. Here at "Hakata Nagahama Ramen Kenta," the owner from Kyushu delivers authentic flavors. It reminded me of the ramen I had when I visited Kyushu last year. I went after drinking, so I ended up getting an extra serving of noodles even though I'm trying to cut back on carbs (laughs). Those thin noodles always make you want more! The rich tonkotsu broth with plenty of umami flavor and the perfect touch of red ginger make it THE Hakata Ramen. We had a great time chatting about Kyushu and enjoyed the delicious meal. Thank you for the feast! m(_ _)m

Grilled ramen set (mentaiko rice + gyoza) with free pickled vegetables service. It was delicious (^ω^) Grilled ramen is so tasty (o^^o) Rich and flavorful. I hope they continue offering this menu during the hot season. They said they plan to do it next month, but it's not certain due to lack of customers (/ω\*) It's such a treat to be able to eat authentic Hakata ramen in Kitami. Grilled ramen is highly recommended. They also serve lunch. Open until 9 pm for dinner.

If you're looking for a satisfying bowl of ramen in Kitami, this place is the best! It's tonkotsu ramen, but you can eat it without feeling heavy. The quality is quite exceptional!

Ramen Kenta in Kitami has the same taste as the old Ramen Kenta, and I like it.

I heard that there is Nagahama Ramen in Kitami, so I decided to go there for my last meal. There were regular customers ordering dishes like Barikata and extra noodles, which seemed appealing to beginners like me.

We booked a hotel in Kitami for just the two of us and enjoyed some drinks leisurely. Even after visiting three places, this old man didn't feel sleepy. I still had energy, so after eating Kitami's famous village meat, I headed to "Hakata Nagahama La-men Kenta" diagonally across the street. The shop is located in the back of the food stall village. I sat at the short end of the L-shaped counter, and the first thing served was a small bottle of beer. Then, came the plastic cup. The bottle had a nostalgic feel to it, but the mood was ruined by the plastic cup. I had about three bottles of beer, and later when I looked at the bill, I was shocked to see it was 600 yen each. The ramen was interesting as you could choose the firmness of the noodles from soft to firm. I asked if one bowl of ramen could be shared between two people, and the staff was fine with it. The ramen was served, and I enjoyed the thin noodles and light toppings. The soup was a rich pork bone broth with no unpleasant smell. It had a depth of flavor and complexity that I couldn't quite describe. Overall, it was a delicious bowl of ramen.

A Hakata ramen shop called Ramen Kenta has arrived in Kitami. It is located in a corner of the drinking district, Kitami Jiman Village, and is operating for a limited time. I, who have almost zero experience in the nightlife area and hardly drink alcohol, feel a bit nervous as I head towards the shop. The interior of the shop is small with only a counter, and a tough-looking owner is managing it alone. Since it's my first time trying Hakata ramen, I decide to go with the classic regular ramen. I'm not sure about the type of noodles, so I order them "firm" like the person next to me! It seems like the person next to me is a regular customer, so I follow their lead in order to have a wonderful Hakata-like dining experience! Or at least, that's the plan. The ramen is ready quite quickly, maybe due to the short cooking time. Hakata ramen is known for its thin noodles, but these are really thin, almost like somen noodles. Let's dig in. Hmm? Mmm! Delicious! So this is Hakata...! It's really tasty! The soup is smooth with a pork bone flavor, but it's not overpowering, and it's an elegant soup without any unpleasant smell. It's rich but not heavy, and even though it's light, it's still satisfying... Wow, it's a strange taste. Hakata ramen is so delicious! Following the person next to me, I add sesame seeds and pickled ginger as toppings, and before I know it, the bowl is empty. My first experience with Hakata ramen was truly impressive. Thank you for the meal!

A new Hakata ramen restaurant has opened in Jiman Village. They are operating for a limited time of one month, but it seems that an extension has already been decided. This restaurant is my top priority during my visit to Kitami. The menu includes regular ramen, special ramen, and a spicy ramen called "Ken Ramen." I ordered the regular ramen with firm noodles and added garlic. The noodles were cooked in hot water for only 10 seconds! It's very quick. It's perfect for a post-drinking meal. I top it with plenty of pickled ginger and sesame seeds. The soup is light but flavorful. There is no pork bone smell, making it perfect for after drinking. I used to have a negative impression of Hakata ramen noodles being too firm, but is this the real Hakata ramen? It's incredibly delicious. The firm noodles have a good texture without being too hard. It seems more affordable in the original location, but with free extra noodles included, it's reasonable. I want to try the Ken Ramen next time.
