We revisited Tempura Club with our family, how many years has it been? This restaurant was inspired by the famous restaurant Tempura Hiraoka in Fukuoka, and it pays tribute to it while creating a similar concept in Sapporo. Tempura Club was established in 1986 and now has branches in Kitago, Taihei, and Omasa in Sapporo. It has been about 30 years since I first visited during my university days. This time, my wife, myself, and our children ordered the daily special set meal, with me upgrading to crab rice for an additional fee. The total came to 4,125 yen. The freshly fried tempura served right in front of us is reminiscent of Hiraoka's style, but the quality of the tempura here is exceptional. The white fish tempura we had today was incredibly fluffy, thick, and flavorful. The vegetables were incredibly sweet and delicious, showcasing Hokkaido's produce. The highlight was the crab rice! The texture and flavor were outstanding, and it's a development from my student days that I hadn't experienced before. The value for money is incredible. You can have unlimited refills of white rice, so I enjoyed eating the crab with rice. Payment can be made with a credit card, which is convenient. "Wow, that was delicious," we all left the restaurant completely satisfied. To everyone in Fukuoka, when you visit Hokkaido, be sure to try out Tempura Club. Your "Hiraoka" siblings are thriving on the northern land!

First visit. There are 8 parking spaces in front of the store from 11:00. There are 7 types of set meals and 3 types of tempura bowls. I ordered the recommended set meal (8 items) for 1,265 yen. The meal included white fish, shrimp, green peppers, and squid. Then, shrimp, kabocha squash, eggplant, and sea bass were served. The tempura sauce was served in a pot. Kimchi, cabbage pickles, and grated daikon radish are included. The tempura is crispy. You can have seconds of rice. The rice is interesting with both cold and warm parts, but it's a shame it's not freshly cooked. You can change to crab rice for an additional 385 yen. The miso soup has seaweed and green onions. I miss the old days when you could have unlimited servings of salted fish roe. (September 2023)

I asked for a casual tempura meal recommendation. I decided on the recommended set meal which comes with grated daikon radish, pickled cabbage, and cabbage kimchi on the side. They brought the hot tempura to the table. The tempura included shrimp, squid, kisu fish, pumpkin, horse mackerel, green pepper, and eggplant, all with a crispy batter. It was delicious with either salt or tempura dipping sauce. I even had seconds of rice and made my own original tempura rice bowl. Thank you for the meal. Recommended set meal (8 items) for 1,500 yen.

Today, five of us had tempura. Freshly fried tempura is a delight. We ordered the special set, starting with green pepper, large shrimp, and shiitake mushrooms. Next came scallops with shimeji mushrooms, followed by conger eel, and lastly snow crab. I love shrimp and scallops, so I was satisfied. I also like to put a little bit of conger eel on rice and eat it with tempura sauce like a tempura bowl. I ended up taking my husband's rice, leaving half of the conger eel and snow crab, and getting it to go. I am satisfied, thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited, and this time there were a lot of customers, but it wasn't too overwhelming. I went with the recommended set meal again. I didn't check the price... First, they serve 3 pieces, and then later 5 freshly fried tempura pieces. In the past, there used to be unlimited pickles and salted fish, but that has changed with the times. Still, the freshly fried tempura is delicious. Lastly, I got a refill of rice, topped it with tempura, poured over some tempura sauce, and had a mini tempura bowl to finish off.笑

I visited to have tempura. I was planning to order the tempura set meal, but I was tempted by the special large shrimp tempura bowl. It came with two big shrimp, eggplant, and green pepper. I felt a bit disappointed by the lack of vegetable variety, but the shrimp made up for it. The shrimp was plump and delicious. Thank you for the meal. - Special Large Shrimp Tempura Bowl 1,540 yen

Returned the rental car and headed to a nearby shop located about a 10-minute walk from JR Heiwa Station. They offer reasonably priced freshly fried dishes that come one after another, similar to Hiraosan in Fukuoka. The recommended set meal of the day includes 6 items for 900 yen (excluding tax), featuring shrimp, horse mackerel, eggplant, potato, bell pepper, and tilapia for 1,150 yen (excluding tax). You can also enjoy a black label draft beer for 450 yen (excluding tax) while waiting. The texture of the fried dishes is slightly crispy on the outside, but the ingredients are plump and moist, which is nice. I was curious about what "izumi tai" was, and it turns out to be tilapia, a freshwater fish. It has a subtle sweetness and a moderate firmness to the flesh. The option for free rice refills is also appreciated. However, one thing that caught my attention was the staff, who seemed to be overwhelmed. Although they were working hard, they seemed to be unable to pay attention to anything other than their own tasks. Even when there were vacant seats, they couldn't manage to clean up or guide customers to their tables without calling other staff for help. They were so busy ensuring that the freshly fried dishes were delivered to each table promptly that they couldn't properly place them on the trays, resulting in some dishes falling off the table. Overall, despite the good value for money, this aspect needs improvement. If they can work on their skills, like Hiraosan, by ensuring the dishes are served securely and efficiently, I believe they have the potential to become an even better restaurant.

Daily lunch set (6 items) for 990 yen. Includes shrimp, white fish, green pepper, potato, eggplant, and izumi. Even a tempura set at the supermarket would cost around 600 yen. But it's not fair to compare, right? The tempura is freshly fried and served with grated radish, kimchi, pickles, miso soup, and rice refill at this price. It's great. The white fish is delicious. I've never heard of izumi tai before. They used to have salted fish roe too. Maybe they could add a small side dish for around 50 yen. I'll definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

Tempura Club Kitago Branch Daily Special Set Meal for Today, 6 items for 990 yen. The menu includes white fish, eggplant, green pepper, burdock, shrimp, and more. I had a rough night and skipped breakfast and lunch. After finishing a long day of work, my friend surprised me by waiting outside to go eat together. Lucky me! I was starving and we decided to go to Tempura Club, where the tempura is crispy and cheap. My favorite tempura items are eggplant, green pepper, and white fish. They were delicious this time. The restaurant allows you to change items if they are the same price, so I switched the potatoes for burdock. The tempura was served hot and crispy, and I enjoyed every bite. It has been 5-6 years since my last visit, but I was very satisfied. I remember they used to offer unlimited squid salted guts and kimchi about 10 years ago, but they stopped around 5 years ago. I miss the squid salted guts, they were so tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I visited for lunch. This tempura restaurant is a place I occasionally crave. This time, I ordered the "recommended set meal (8 items)" which included shrimp, white fish, green pepper, pumpkin, eggplant, thread-sail filefish, shrimp, and squid. I also ordered "pork loin," "kisu," and "tempura of cherry shrimp." Here, you can enjoy freshly made tempura, so it's very delicious. Some items come in generous portions. Rice is also free for refills, so you can have as much as you like. I would like to come back to eat here again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I witnessed the victory of my workplace baseball team in Kitahiroshima, and decided to head towards my accommodation in Higashi-ku via Kitago and Sapporo Shin-doh. It was past 2 PM when I reached Kitago-dori at Kitahiroshima-13-jo, and I started feeling a bit hungry. So, I decided to stop by a tempura restaurant called Tempura Club that I had visited before. I ordered the "Daily Special Set Meal (6 items)" since I only had a small appetite. I didn't take a photo of the lineup, but I remember it included shrimp, white fish, eggplant, green pepper, sea bream, and potatoes. The restaurant was not crowded, but it took about 7 minutes for the first items to arrive. First, the shrimp, white fish, and green pepper were served. They were all fried just right, not too crispy. They were quite delicious. The rest of the items came out in the second round. The potato tempura had a fluffy texture, different from regular french fries, and it paired well with salt. Whether with salt or tempura dipping sauce, it was just right with rice. I didn't ask for a rice refill as the amount was perfect for a light meal, and I left the restaurant satisfied. I then headed towards my accommodation under the strong sunlight.

Tempura Club Kitago, located in Shiroishi Ward, is a place where you can enjoy delicious crispy tempura. They brought out the freshly fried tempura in two separate servings, so we were able to enjoy it hot and crispy. Tempura Club is a place where they fry crispy tempura right in front of you and serve it directly onto your plate. They use a special fryer that emits far-infrared rays and has a negative ion effect, which allows them to significantly reduce calories and oil content, creating a healthier tempura. It's light and crispy, making it a great option for calorie-conscious individuals.

I remembered a local tempura restaurant called "Tempura Club" that was featured on a local Fuji TV affiliate. It put me in a "tempura" mood, so I decided to pay them a visit. When I think of "tempura," "beef yakiniku," and "tonkatsu," I always crave it with rice for some reason. That's why I tend to go for lunch more often than as a drinking snack. I tried the recommended set meal for 1,050 yen (excluding tax). Although the special set also caught my eye, I opted for the classic recommended set. It included 2 shrimp, white fish, green pepper, pumpkin, eggplant, red snapper, and squid. I always pass the pumpkin to my dining companion. The tempura is brought to the table freshly fried by a part-time worker. I like to make a self-made tempura bowl with the shrimp using the tempura sauce halfway through. Due to the rise in squid prices, there is no longer "shio-kara" (fermented squid guts), but they offer kimchi and pickles instead. It's all you can eat, but be careful not to consume too much salt. This was satisfying enough for me. They also have seasonal items like "hitopirol" and asparagus. The tempura at "Tempura Club" is affordable and delicious. I will definitely visit again in the future.

I visited for lunch. This place is my favorite spot ♫ This time, I ordered the "recommended set meal (8 items)" which includes shrimp, white fish, green peppers, pumpkin, eggplant, sea bream, shrimp, and squid. I also ordered "chicken tenderloin," "kisu," and "scallop." I might have ordered too much... The freshly fried tempura is amazing ♫ Everything is delicious ♫ Rice is free for seconds, so I end up eating too much (-。-; I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Today, I wanted to eat tempura. My lunch plans got delayed and I ended up visiting at 5:30 pm for dinner instead. I recommend the set meal with crab rice and mixed tempura. Actually, I had a plan in mind. You can get a rice refill here. I ended up ordering extra rice and made a tempura rice bowl with shrimp, squid, and eggplant. I also enjoyed the three-piece set of kimchi, pickles, and grated daikon. I wanted to try the scallop tempura too, but I was already full. I might have become a light eater. However, I'm not a fan of potato tempura, but I'll eat it because I love fried potatoes. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch and felt like having tempura, so I came here. I ordered the "recommended set meal (8 items)" which included shrimp, white fish, bell pepper, potato, eggplant, thread-sail filefish, shrimp, and squid. I also ordered pork loin, smelt fish, and shiitake mushrooms. I might have ordered a bit too much (・_・; The tempura was freshly made and very delicious! It was crispy and the rice was refillable, so I ended up eating too much (^^) I would like to come back to eat again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Recommended set meal with individual orders of fresh saury and snow crab. The portion was quite generous. The parking lot was full almost at opening time. It's better to go early or adjust your timing. The recommended set meal includes 8 pieces of tempura that change daily. On this day, it was squid, green pepper, white fish, eggplant, 2 shrimp, cod, and pumpkin. The freshly fried tempura was piping hot. The vegetables were delicious. Rice refills are free, but the portion is just right. The seasonal saury looked smaller than expected, but the flesh was tender and not too fatty. It was delicious. The snow crab was decently sized and satisfying. It was crispy and flavorful. It was moist rather than crunchy, with rich flavors. We used a coupon for a free shrimp, but it was too much. We enjoyed changing things up by pouring tempura sauce on the rice and eating it together. It was delicious. I also became curious about the sakura shrimp.

When the day comes when food expenses become easier, I will drink beer and eat tempura from noon♪ It was a dream. It's a wonderful restaurant where you can eat freshly fried tempura at a reasonable price. I decided to visit after a long time and found out that they no longer serve my favorite salted fish roe. Instead, they provide individual servings of kimchi and pickles on the table. It's hygienic and nice, but I never used to think about such things in the past. I've heard that Japanese people are clean freaks, but I wonder why everyone is working so hard on disinfection and such on a global scale in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. In order to fill the stomachs of children who eat a lot, I used to bring a child who eats a lot and order the cheapest set meal, giving them my share if there was still tempura I wanted to eat, so I only remember eating salted fish roe and rice. (´ε` ) So!! This time, the premium order is: - Bottle of beer @ 495 - Sakura shrimp tempura @ 308 - Maitake mushrooms @ 165 - Shungiku (edible chrysanthemum) @ 110 - Crab rice @ 440 Personally, this is the height of luxury for me ( ́•ૢ⌔•ૢ ̀)♡ The beer arrived in about 7 minutes, followed by small dishes of cabbage, kimchi, and grated daikon, along with the crab rice. After a short wait, the tempura and shungiku were ready. First, the shungiku. This slight bitterness is irresistible and goes well with beer. (´ ゚`) I tried the tempura by itself without adding anything, savoring the flavor of the sakura shrimp. It made me crave soba noodles. The rest I ate with grated daikon and tempura dipping sauce. I felt like having soba noodles even more. I enjoyed the texture of the maitake mushrooms, trying them with matcha salt and shichimi pepper. The crab rice was fluffy with plenty of crab meat. It seems you can change it for a 200 yen difference if you order a set meal. Tempura makes everything delicious, but I prefer vegetable tempura over the usual shrimp or squid. I also like seaweed tempura, but it's not on the menu, which is a shame. It's delicious though. On the way out, I received complimentary fried tempura bits. Finally, my wish came true. Bon appétit! \( ‘ω’)/ Thank you for the meal.

We went as a family for the first time. The freshly fried tempura is delicious. The children were also delighted. The crab rice is also quite tasty. They have rice bowls as well, but it seems they focus on freshly fried dishes and set meals. It feels like a chain for beef bowls inside. We will go again.

I visited for lunch and felt like having tempura, so I came here. This time, I ordered the recommended set meal (8 items) which included shrimp, white fish, green pepper, potato, eggplant, needlefish, shrimp, and squid. I also ordered "chicken tenderloin", "kisu", and "true red snapper tempura". Maybe I ordered too much... This place serves freshly made tempura. Highly recommended! The tempura is delicious as it is freshly made! The tempura dipping sauce is good, but it's also tasty with salt. It's nice that you can get free rice refills. I would like to come back again. It's extremely crowded. Even though there are seats available, the staff can't keep up with the operation, and the tempura takes a while to be served because it's hot, causing slow turnover. The parking lot is always full. But before waiting for a parking spot, it's better to write your name first, then go back to your car and wait. Today was also very crowded. Waited for 10 minutes outside and 45 minutes inside before finally reaching the counter. Ordered the special set meal and waited for it to be served. In the past, pickles and salted fish guts were all-you-can-eat, but they're gone now due to a shortage of squid, which is disappointing. Pickles and grated radish are served separately. The special set meal is quite substantial, but if you don't need all that, the daily special plus a single item might be a better choice.
