The restaurant is run by foreigners, but they are fluent in Japanese and very kind. You can choose the level of spiciness for the mapo dishes, but the small size is spicy enough! If you are good with spicy food, you might want to go for medium or large, but be careful as the small size is not just mildly spicy. I ordered the mapo yakisoba and added rice at the end to finish it all.

It seems like a shop that specializes in fried chicken set meals. However, I didn't have the courage to order that. Later, I found out that you can order just one piece for 180 yen and I regretted not trying it. I ended up having the stir-fried noodles with thick sauce, which was delicious, but I probably won't visit again just for that. After looking at the menu, I left it on the table and was reminded to put it back in its place, which made me feel like I was being scolded. The staff was not wrong, but the tone felt a bit off and gave me a sense of unease.

I visited Kitenefood Hall in front of Teine Station on my way back. I ordered the lunch menu of five-ingredient sauce yakisoba (900 yen) and one piece of rose chicken karaage (180 yen). The five-ingredient sauce yakisoba had a light color and the flavor was a bit mild, but with this volume, the mild seasoning might be just right if you finish it all. The chicken karaage is huge! To give you an idea of how big it is, it's about the size of Yamazaki's large Twin Shoe. The staff was kind, and that alone made the meal feel appreciative.

The chicken karaage set meal (1,300 yen) with an option of adding mayonnaise (+50 yen) and paper bag or plastic bag for takeout (+10 yen) was ordered, totaling 1,360 yen. The set meal comes with eight fist-sized pieces of karaage, which makes a big impression. The taste was a bit on the mild side, so the additional special mayonnaise (+50 yen) was a perfect match! The mayonnaise seemed to have something mixed in, making it delicious on its own. The karaage was tasty, but I could only manage to eat about four and a half pieces before giving up. I packed the remaining three and a half pieces in the paper bag and plastic bag provided for takeout (+10 yen). The service was excellent as always, and the cost performance was great too! Thank you for the meal.

Ordered the Mapo Tofu set meal (900 yen) and one piece of fried chicken (180 yen) here. The Mapo Tofu is known for being spicy, and it did have a decent kick to it with the Hoa Jiao seasoning. It wasn't too spicy at first, but as I kept eating, I ended up sweating a lot (laughs). It was a slightly watery type of Mapo Tofu. I was happy to see finely chopped wood ear mushrooms in it. However, the portion was huge! It took a lot of effort to finish the whole thing. The added fried chicken was also huge! I debated getting two pieces but one was definitely enough. It was like a whole chicken leg in size, seasoned with what seemed like pepper powder, giving it a nice spicy flavor and very juicy meat. The service was surprisingly good, despite some negative reviews on Google Maps. The staff even asked if the Mapo Tofu was too spicy for me. They mentioned that while you can adjust the spiciness for individual orders, it's not possible for the lunch set, as it would significantly increase the price. I appreciated the thoughtful conversation. Great value for money. I will definitely come back, maybe for the fried chicken set meal or the spicy Mapo Tofu or Dan Dan noodles next time. Thank you for the meal.

As soon as the restaurant opened, I entered and found that all tables were full, including a few seats at the raised seating area. I was sure that this was a bustling restaurant! I confidently ordered the fried chicken set meal and the mapo yakisoba to share with my companion. The fried chicken was served first, and I was overwhelmed by the mountain of crispy and juicy pieces. The seasoning was perfect and I was completely satisfied. It was so much food that I couldn't finish it all, so I took the leftovers home. I also ordered some fried chicken to go and treated my family to it for dinner, and they were all satisfied. The mapo yakisoba had an authentic and delicious taste, with a perfect balance of spicy flavors. It was a bit too spicy for us, so we left a little bit uneaten. But I'm sure it would be perfect to finish while having a beer during the evening. Since I drove to the restaurant today, I had to resist. Overall, it was really delicious!

I had to go to Ishikari for work. At lunchtime, I visited Junwaen, a place I had wanted to go for a while. Looking at the menu, I thought the Zanki set meal might be a good choice. Many other customers were also eating the Zanki set, which had a huge portion. Hmm... I was planning to eat Zanki tomorrow, so today I decided on the mapo tofu set meal. When I ordered, the staff asked me if I was okay with spicy food, but I didn't say anything about not being able to handle it, so I went ahead with the order. When the dish arrived, the staff warned me not to drink water because it would make the spiciness worse, so I entered battle mode even before taking a bite. The first bite was spicy and hot! But the lingering spiciness wasn't too bad, and I thought I could handle it. As I continued eating, I couldn't stop sweating and it got spicier. I ended up in a sauna-like state all by myself. As I got used to it, the spiciness changed and became addictive. The salad, almond jelly, and soup on the side also helped me enjoy the meal. I might have been able to finish it without water until the end. Thank you to the staff. It was a delicious meal.

After returning from the barber, I visited Junwaen! Since I had never tried the ramen at this restaurant before, I ordered the spicy miso ramen in large size and 1 piece of chicken karaage. It arrived in about 7 minutes and I thought to myself, "Hmm, looks spicy." I tried it and it was indeed spicy, but with a flavorful spiciness. However, as I ate quickly, the spiciness somehow got into a strange part of my body and spread to my inner ear, making it both spicy and painful. Tears started to form... After taking a short break, I enjoyed the chicken karaage as a palate cleanser. It was delicious! Dipping it in salt and pepper made it even more enjoyable. Feeling refreshed, I resumed eating the spicy miso ramen. It was packed with ingredients and the spiciness hit my stomach hard due to the large portion. Overall, it was quite a spicy ramen, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the chicken karaage, which was really tasty. I remembered a summer over three years ago when I ordered the chicken karaage set meal, couldn't finish it, and ended up taking it home. Now, over 50 years old, my knees hurt. Time for a nap... Have a nice day.

The famous fried chicken set meal. I was surprised when it was served. I wonder if I can finish it all? It was so hot that I almost burned myself. It was fist-sized, so it took a while to cool down. It took me 30 minutes to finish it. You can also take the leftovers home. There is a sister store nearby, so I will try going there next time.

One day, my family went to Junwaen. Each of us ordered what we wanted to eat, and I ended up choosing the spicy mapo yakisoba. I remember it being quite spicy last time. Soon, the dish arrived. It was indeed spicy, and my mouth went numb. The noodles were crispy, with a slightly burnt edge, and topped with plenty of mapo tofu. I used chopsticks for the noodles and a spoon for the mapo tofu, struggling through the spiciness to finish it all. When I took off my mask to drink water and forgot to put it back on, the waitress reminded me sternly to wear it. Despite this, I still enjoyed my experience at Junwaen and would definitely go back to eat there again.

Five-ingredient rice bowl with thick sauce (lunch) for 900 yen at a popular Chinese restaurant on Gedoin Street. It can get crowded on weekends, but you won't have to wait on weekdays. There is no counter, only tables and a raised seating area. Lunch is available until 14:45 at a slightly discounted price. I ordered the "Five-ingredient rice bowl" after hearing about its generous portion size. It was huge! The dish came on a large plate with plenty of meat, shrimp, and vegetables covered in a light-colored sauce. The flavor was not soy sauce or salt, but closer to oyster sauce with a hint of garlic. The dish had a strong, classic Chinese restaurant vibe with crisp vegetables and thick, sweet pork belly. The addition of quail eggs was a nice touch. I'm glad I only ordered half a portion of rice, as it was quite filling. The side dish of pickled vegetables with spices was authentic and made me crave a beer. Thank you for the meal!

I went for the first time looking forward to the large fried chicken! I ordered the fried chicken set, sweet and sour pork set, and miso ramen. All the meals were delicious!! I was very satisfied. However, I might not come back for a while. The reason being, when I entered the restaurant, I was told "One order per person aged 3 and above." I agreed, thinking even a single dish would be fine, but then I was told after entering, "It's 700 yen or more." The price is fine, but the portions are large at this restaurant... yet there is no option for a half-size portion. Also, when I asked for a child's fork, I was given a flimsy, easily breakable spoon (which was too big for a child). This resulted in my child dropping a whole piece of fried chicken... The flimsy spoon couldn't handle the large fried chicken at all. Additionally, the serving plate seemed dirty, so I asked for a replacement, but was told, "That's just how it is." It seems like they don't really cater to children... My son is currently 5 years old, and he couldn't finish the meal, so maybe we'll come back when he's a big eater like a high school student. If they're going to have a one order per person policy, I wish they had a child set for 700 yen.

Long time no see, long time no see here!! The capybara will definitely be delighted!! (They did it, they did it, that's great!) The fried chicken here is not only big (^o^)v, it's really delicious, the oil is not excessive, the seasoning is perfect, not too strong or too light, just right, it's just heavy to lift with chopsticks, but... (*^-^*)(*^-^*) It's quite far even within Sapporo, but... it's worth going if you want to eat delicious fried chicken!! The volume of the fried chicken is no joke, so it's recommended to order a different menu for another person. Today, I had the stir-fried meat with mushrooms and eggs set meal, it was a hit~♪ Very delicious, and the soup was delicious too~ I'm satisfied with the set meal! They are also doing their best with infection prevention measures. It was good to be able to go after a long time! It was delicious!! Thank you for the meal☆(^-^)/(^-^)/

I visited around 12:30 pm on a weekday. It was not too crowded, which was nice. I ordered the sweet and sour pork set meal for 800 yen and an extra piece of fried chicken for 150 yen. The fried chicken was huge and delicious, although a bit too much to finish. The sweet and sour pork set meal was also very generous in portion size and tasty. I will definitely come back again.

I had the shrimp mayo set meal! It had about 5 plump shrimp in it! The taste was slightly sweet but delicious. The daikon radish salad on the side was crunchy. The pickled vegetables were also tasty. The almond jelly dessert was delicious too. I will definitely come back!

The fried chicken set meal for 900 yen is amazing! It's big and hot, just like the rumors say. The size is huge and the chicken is juicy and delicious with just the right amount of batter. I couldn't finish it all, so I took the rest home. The staff were kind when I asked to take it home, which was a relief. It's a great deal for a filling lunch that can also be enjoyed as a snack later. With takeout available, this place is sure to become popular. Plus, the car ride home is filled with the wonderful smell of fried chicken!

I had always been curious about the Chinese restaurant "Junwaen" that I had never visited before in my area. The place seemed popular with one customer already seated and many more coming in. I decided to order the mapo tofu set meal for 800 yen after some hesitation. The waitress, who spoke broken Japanese, warned me that it was a bit spicy, but I thought it would be no problem. However, when my dish arrived, I was shocked by how spicy and salty it was, with almost no sweetness. It was too much for me to handle, so I ended up leaving most of it uneaten. I quickly paid and left, thinking that I might try the fried chicken set meal next time. I should have listened to the waitress's warning more carefully.

I visited for lunch. This place had caught my eye in magazines and on Tabelog, and I finally got the chance to visit. I had been wanting to try a certain dish once. This time, I ordered the "Fried Chicken Set". As rumored, the amount and size of the fried chicken pieces were huge (lol). When I actually saw it, it was amazing! There were 8 pieces of fried chicken. I'll aim to finish them all! The fried chicken was delicious! The coating was crispy, and the inside was tender. It went well with rice. I ended up leaving one piece behind (・_・;) but since they offer takeout, I took it home! I definitely want to come back to eat here again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

This shop is located in Teine-ku, Sapporo City. For a while, it was in a very difficult situation where I couldn't post or view reviews on Tabelog. As you may know, Sapporo City was in a harsh situation due to the new coronavirus. The city lacked energy and vitality, and anxiety continued. I had been wanting to visit a famous fried chicken shop in Sapporo for a while. The lighting was a bit dim, so I thought they might still be on a break. However, the inside of the shop had a clean and Chinese restaurant-like atmosphere. Today, in an effort to cheer myself up, I ordered the fried chicken set meal. It arrived in 15 minutes, and wow, it was a surprising amount. Definitely more than I could finish. I struggled to eat the piping hot fried chicken. It also came with fried xiaolongbao, soup, salad, pickled vegetables, and almond jelly, making it a very reasonable shop. Since I couldn't finish it all, I ordered a takeout bag for 10 yen.

【Chinese Cuisine Shunwaen】"Karaage Set Meal" comes with 8 pieces of karaage. The plate is overflowing with huge karaage pieces. If you can't finish it, you can take it home. I wonder if anyone can finish it all? The karaage pieces were stacked higher than the rice. They are freshly fried and piping hot! They are so big that it's hard to pick them up with chopsticks. And of course, be careful of burns. Salad is served as a side dish. It's a refreshing and spicy flavor that goes well with rice. The soup is Chinese-style soup with a mild egg flavor. For dessert, there is almond jelly. It's much appreciated. The takeout comes in a paper bag with a plastic bag. When I tried to take the food out of the bag at home, the paper bag ripped due to the oil and steam. It was expected though ===========
