I visited on a holiday during lunch. The meat in the chef's special platter was of high quality, well-marbled, and very delicious. I forgot to take a photo, but personally, the ginger-salt short ribs were the tastiest for me. I appreciated that they had mega-sized beer mugs available.

I worked hard, so I deserve this, right? Even if I come here continuously, it's fine! Just the other day I came here, and the drinking style has changed since this place opened. The fact that they’re open until morning is such a tempting offer. After work, it’s perfect for a quick drink, so I tried a lemon sour and wow, I was surprised by how delicious it is! It’s refreshing, just the right amount of alcohol, and the lemon flavor is fantastic. You don’t often find this level of deliciousness. Tonight, I went for a healthy vibe with some sliced tomatoes, bean sprouts, and thick-cut beef tongue, which is so flavorful that I just want to take it home in my mouth! The fried egg with sausage that I was curious about was amazing, and from there, I just kept looping back to the lemon sour. No matter the situation, this place, Charcoal Grill Village, welcomes you. Thank you, I am really grateful!

On my day off, I enjoyed a quick and delicious dinner of yakiniku in Koenji! The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building just a short walk from the north exit of Koenji Station. The interior has a casual and relaxed vibe, and the staff were quick and attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience! What I ordered included: - Grilled Wagyu Takoyaki: 1,980 yen - Premium Green Onion Beef Tongue: 1,680 yen - Wagyu Green Onion Kalbi: 1,180 yen - Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup): 1,280 yen True to its name, "Sumibiyaki Mura," the restaurant serves charcoal-grilled yakiniku. Each meat dish was well-marbled and delicious! Besides yakiniku, they also offered all-you-can-eat samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) and a wide variety of Korean dishes. It was great to have so many options to choose from. Even without alcohol, there was a side of motsuni (stewed offal) as an appetizer! ◎ Grilled Wagyu Takoyaki The beef was cut into large pieces and incredibly tender! The smoky flavor from the grilling and the sweet taste of the fat were delightful. The dipping sauce was spicy and rich, so it was great to enjoy it together with the onions underneath. ◎ Premium Green Onion Beef Tongue The tongue was plump with a satisfying chew. When you put it in your mouth, the rich fat spreads wonderfully! I enjoyed it with lemon and extra green onions for a refreshing finish. ◎ Wagyu Green Onion Kalbi The combination of green onions and kalbi (short rib) was fantastic! The kalbi was full of sweet fat, making it taste amazing with the generous amount of onions. I could easily eat it with a bowl of white rice. ◎ Samgyetang Served in a stone pot, it was piping hot! The broth was light and refreshing, without any medicinal taste, showcasing the chicken’s umami flavor. As I ate, the tender chicken released its goodness into the broth, adding depth. It also contained rice, which made me feel full! This restaurant offers a great experience of enjoying charcoal-grilled yakiniku and Korean cuisine. The meat was delicious and well-marbled. It was a perfect spot for a casual visit where I could quickly enjoy a hearty meal (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)⁠✧⁠*⁠.

I'm always grateful for the Yakiniku Sumibimura in Shin Koenji! There are many types of yakiniku, but the quality of their meat is unbeatable. I heard from my mom that a new branch, Ame Arale, is opening, but I've been so busy lately that I completely forgot! I wanted to be the first to leave a review, but I missed the chance. Anyway, I'm going to eat a lot to make up for it! Let me share how to enjoy this place: - **Vegetable set**: The amount is massive and super fresh. - **Premium liver**: The sesame salt is heavenly. - **Thick-cut beef tongue**: Savor it slowly and enjoy. And there's a new menu item available only at the Koenji location: - **Black wagyu sashi**: Enjoy the fresh and assured taste of the meat. - **Black wagyu yukke**: The white onion mixes beautifully with the spicy miso. - **Black wagyu heart sashimi**: It's incredibly fresh and delightful. This place exudes the passion of the master and mama, who care deeply about their customers and remain humble. That’s why the meat is fresh and delicious! The master is handsome, considerate, and a hard worker, while mama is charming, quick, and efficient. They also prioritize their staff. The new Koenji branch has a karaoke spot in the back, making it a fun place to hang out. You can find it conveniently located on the second floor above Yoshinoya right at the north exit of Koenji station with easy access by elevator. Inside, it's mainly box seats, so you don’t have to worry about eye contact with your neighbors; you can also remove the dividers for group seating. It’s a laid-back place, perfect for everyone! Plus, I love it so much it feels like I'm part of the staff! On top of that, they serve lunch on weekends and have continuous operations until... get this... four in the morning! It's truly shocking. I usually go for late-night yakiniku in Kabukicho, but having a delicious place open until morning in Koenji is quite newsworthy. There are some good yakiniku restaurants in Koenji, but Sumibimura is truly enjoyable. Alright, let me continue! After you eat some appetizers (everything like kimchi and white cow tripe is delicious), it’s time to grill some meat: - **Salted harami** x3 - **Top loin**, wrapped in leaves for a delightful experience. I might have mentioned this before, but it’s best to cook harami and similar cuts well rather than rare to really appreciate the flavor of the meat. Now for the sides: - **Beef soup with rice** - **Marinated short ribs** - **Small rice** The beef soup is incredibly delicious, adding to the happiness you feel as you near the end of your meal. So, let’s casually enjoy some great meat at the newly named Sumibimura in Koenji!

On the night we decided on yakiniku, we chose Sumibimura! We felt like having a proper drink, so here we go! This year, we’ve been going to Sumibimura way too much, right? With two locations, they’re super busy! I feel like the Koenji location has a great selection of drinks. On a night when we want to drink, we prefer Sumibimura over a regular izakaya. We kick off our order with our usual favorites: - 2 servings of salted harami - Vegetable platter (highly recommended) - Premium liver - Chan-chan (always a rare order, but we’re drinking tonight) - Smacked cucumber (same reason as above) - Butter scallops (again, because we’re drinking) After enjoying the meat generously, we finish off with a comforting bowl of gomutang gukbap. We had a delicious night once again. Thank you for the meal!
