I found a curry restaurant in the Niseko area while searching. It has been open for over a year, but there are no reviews, only some photos. After checking their official SNS, I decided to visit for lunch during my Niseko tour. The restaurant is located in a building adjacent to Niseko Station, with a shared parking lot nearby for stress-free parking. Inside, the place has a bar-like setup, and there was a group of fellow tourists already there. The restaurant is run by a young man and woman in their 30s. To order the soup curry, you first choose the main ingredients, then select from four types of soup: original, coconut (+100 yen), Ezo paste made with garlic (+200 yen), or sake lees soup (+100 yen). The spiciness levels range from 0 to 21 and above, with options for mild, medium, hot, and extra hot, each with an additional cost. You can also choose the amount of rice: none, 100g, 200g, or 300g, with corresponding price adjustments. I ordered the chicken stew with a spiciness level of 9 and 200g of rice. While waiting, I read a magazine called "HO" that featured this restaurant and learned that the owner trained at Spice Tiger in Niseko Town. When the curry arrived, I noticed that the soup portion was small, but the taste was good. This was due to the shallow and small diameter of the bowl, which naturally reduces the soup volume when filled with plenty of ingredients. The soup was light and focused on umami flavors. The spiciness level 9 was more like medium-hot, so I wished I had chosen level 11. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and I was happy to find fried and chopped burdock in it, although the absence of bell peppers was disappointing. As I ate, I wished for more soup due to its deliciousness. They offer an option for extra soup, but I wonder if they use larger bowls for that.
