Lunchtime~(^^) Having lunch at a café with my family! Someone wanted to eat pasta, so I searched nearby and found this place. I like old-fashioned, traditional places, but my husband seems to have reservations about the appearance. People and places shouldn't be judged by their looks! So we decided to go in without hesitation. The elegant lady owner greeted us warmly. The customers seemed to be regulars, mostly older gentlemen. My husband and child had meat sauce spaghetti, while I ordered shrimp pilaf. The owner mentioned that the pasta would take about 7 minutes, which was fine with us! The pasta arrived on time, with a generous portion. The taste was just like homemade. My shrimp pilaf also arrived, with salad and miso soup for only 680 yen, which was a great deal. I loved the flavors of everything. The café had a cute atmosphere and relaxing background music. My husband even started humming along to the music, which was a bit embarrassing. I really like the vibe here, so we might become regulars!('-'*)

I knew about this cafe's existence, but I had never been there before in my life! Even though I have been living in this area for a long time haha. Recently, I saw that mi-san had visited it, and I felt a sense of duty to go in too! I finally made up my mind to enter the cafe!! I visited with my children. The cafe looks retro from the outside, and the inside matches that retro vibe perfectly! It feels like time stopped in the Showa era. It's run by a single mother. There were elderly men chatting at the counter who seemed like regulars. There are about four table seats. However, the chairs and tables are quite small haha. Maybe that adds to the retro feel? There is a pink telephone in the cafe. I wonder if it actually works. I should have asked. My kids were very interested in the rotary phone, which they were seeing for the first time. Now, let's take a look at the menu! Wow, it's also super retro haha. I had decided to order the shrimp pilaf that mi-san had recommended! So, I ordered that without hesitation. My kids ordered ham toast. They love sandwiches. While the shrimp pilaf was being cooked, a sudden incident occurred! The mother, with the fire still burning, rushed out of the cafe without saying anything haha. I wondered where she was going. It turned out that there was no ham for the ham toast, so she ran to the supermarket across the street to buy some haha. Leaving the fire burning, running to buy something herself! That's what it means to run a cafe alone, I guess. In Kanami, in Minami Ward, the customers were asked to go buy things, but here the mother runs to buy them herself! That was the conclusion haha. Oh, I forgot to write my thoughts on the food. The shrimp pilaf comes with miso soup and salad for only 680 yen! So cheap!! The shrimp pilaf had some parts that were overcooked, probably due to the incident of running out to buy ham. The taste is quite ordinary, but I think it's the retro atmosphere that makes this cafe special. The salad with soy sauce mayo dressing had a nostalgic taste to it. It tasted like when you go to a friend's house and their mom makes it. Overall, it felt like a cafe rooted in the local community, with only regular customers visiting. I think the mother is doing her best, so take care of yourself and keep up the good work! Thank you for the meal!

During a holiday walk, I stumbled upon a place I usually overlook while walking around. Surprisingly, a reviewer I admire had reviewed it on Tabelog, so I decided to check it out. The interior of the restaurant was compact, with a counter and four table seats. In the background, elegant classical music played, accompanied by the cheerful conversations of the regular patrons. I decided to take a break and ordered an "Iced Coffee" to try. The kind lady asked if it was okay even though it was a bit sweet, to which I replied that I preferred it less sweet. She kindly offered to adjust it for me, which I appreciated. As I sipped on my coffee, I noticed a regular customer ordering a unique dish, which the owner happily prepared. The coffee had a fresh taste with a hint of bitterness, which may vary depending on personal preference. After finishing my drink, I settled the bill and was warmly bid farewell by the owner. It was a delightful experience in a charming space that helped pass the time pleasantly. Thank you for the meal.

This is a review of a restaurant located at the tram stop on Higashitonden Street. The retro exterior and somewhat fairytale-like interior create a charming atmosphere. There was one customer before me and one after me, both seemed to be regulars engaging in lively conversations with the owner. I decided to try the nostalgic soda float as I had just cycled uphill from the city center and was craving something cold. Another regular customer, who seemed intrigued by my choice, also ordered a different color float. The quaint interior suddenly turned into a "Float Festival" with three different colors on display! As mentioned in Tom's review, the menu featured illustrations reminiscent of a girl's manga, adding to the unique charm of the place. The float was refreshing with fine ice, but towards the end, I noticed syrup collecting at the bottom. I should have mixed it more thoroughly before drinking! Thank you for a delightful experience. Bon appétit!

Welcome! Located near the Yamabana district tram stop in Chuo Ward, this charming café has a nostalgic feel dating back to the era when trams were still running. The café is run by a friendly lady named Yagachon, who manages everything on her own. The four-seat counter is already bustling with familiar faces, creating a lively atmosphere. The café's décor, with tables and chairs reminiscent of a café from the mid-Showa era, lacks table game consoles. The background music is not typical café music, but rather sounds of the sea and wind. The menu, presented in a fairytale-like design, surprises customers when opened - reminiscent of Heidi. I ordered the spaghetti Napolitan, and the kitchen delivered a perfectly cooked dish. The café's regulars can be heard chatting and laughing in the background, adding to the cozy ambiance. Overall, the café's curry and hamburg steak dishes are delicious, with a rich beef base and a hint of spices. While the presentation could be improved with a more colorful garnish, the meal was satisfying. The café is a popular spot for locals to relax and socialize, making it a delightful place to visit. Thank you for the meal!
