I personally love this restaurant, and to celebrate their one-year anniversary, they held a special event with 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat and drink for just 1,000 yen—a remarkably generous offer in this era! I went to check it out. Although their famous Nishinari Hormone and Suji-yaki weren’t available, their renowned oden made a comeback, along with delicious options like okonomiyaki, fried chicken, salad, and ginger pork. Everything I tried was as tasty as ever. I’ll definitely be back for the second year!

This was my second visit. The okonomiyaki was fluffy and consistently delicious. Personally, I really liked the pudding after the meal. It came with a small cookie, which was also tasty. The prices are on the higher side, but since the food is so good, I will definitely come back again.

I made a reservation to visit, but even on a Monday, it was fully booked. Until 7 PM, drinks were just 100 yen each. The atmosphere was very homey and the food was delicious. I was impressed by how fluffy and perfectly cooked the okonomiyaki was. The "Surprising Ghost Itoko" had a striking appearance, but it was also tasty. The garlic rice was absolutely amazing!

It had been a while since my last visit in January, so I returned to Teppan Sakeya Dotonbori. I ordered the Potato Salad Beef Buster, which included red ginger, shishito peppers, beef cutlet, and chicken wings, as well as Nishinari Hormone (liver and fat) and beef tendon. I enjoyed a draft beer, Iwasaki sake, and a highball. There were new menu items, so I definitely need to come back soon. As always, all the snacks were delicious, but the new Beef Buster was particularly noteworthy; it consisted of beef stir-fried on the iron plate with bean sprouts, pea shoots, and a sauce that would appeal to any sake lover. The beef tendon was generously portioned, with bigger pieces than before, making it even more delicious. Although the oden was no longer available and they served skewers instead, I found the taste to be even better than what I had in Osaka! It's a place I want to bring various people to and let them know about.

When I visit Koenji and want to enjoy delicious food and drinks, I go to this place. The owner is from Osaka, and the flavors are not just authentic but true to their roots. They serve okonomiyaki, takoyaki, kushikatsu, and tonpei-yaki, all with genuine Osaka taste that comforts Kansai people. It’s also a welcoming spot for women dining alone, which I highly recommend. The entire place allows smoking, so both traditional cigarettes and iQOS can be enjoyed here. It's a complete package for smokers. They also offer half-sized portions, which is very considerate. While I don’t have any photos, they also serve wine and champagne, making it suitable for celebrations, and the spacious layout allows for private bookings and performances.

It’s a relatively new place but has a great reputation among the locals in Koenji, so we went there as a group of four. We ordered various dishes like fried chicken, yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and crispy cheese, but I forgot to take any photos. The menu even includes unique items like Dragon Ball-themed dishes. The staff was very cheerful and fun! When we settled the bill, they said, “Take some candy with you!” as they saw us off. The dishes are inexpensive and come in generous portions, so I recommend going in a group.

I happened to walk by and decided to enter the restaurant. I was surprised to find a clean interior that didn't look like your typical okonomiyaki restaurant. I came in for the hormone (offal), and it was absolutely delicious and very cheap. Next, I noticed that the okonomiyaki was being cooked on the teppan right in front of me, so I couldn't resist ordering it. As someone from Kansai, I have high standards for okonomiyaki, and I can confidently say that this was the best I’ve had in Tokyo. The staff were friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. I plan to come back with friends next time, and we'll eat a lot!

The cost performance is just great!!!! I'm also grateful that it's kid-friendly. There are still some dishes, like hot pots, that I haven’t tried yet, but there are plenty of snacks and filling options, making it a very versatile place. I will definitely come back!

I love this restaurant so much that I can't help but think of it whenever I crave something like fried food or rich flavors. The staff is all friendly and easy to talk to, making it a fun place to drink whether you're by yourself or with friends. Although it's a relatively new establishment, they listen to customer feedback and quickly make improvements, which is commendable.
The pork liver, white meat, and fat from Nishinari are all generously sized and packed with flavor, making them perfect for pairing with drinks. The pork and garlic chip-topped dough for the "butatama" has been improved twice and is delicious with a subtle garlic aroma, plus it's quite filling.
Their Osaka-style oden includes bamboo shoots, chikuwa (fish cake), daikon radish, steamed dumplings, and beef tendon, all of which are richly flavored but surprisingly light, with the broth seeping through beautifully. I always want to have the beef tendon and bamboo shoots.
They offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages at a great price, making it a convenient spot whether it's your first or second stop of the night.

I visited again because the okonomiyaki was delicious the last time. This time I ordered the kimchi chige hot pot. Unfortunately, the broth didn't suit my taste. It had a flavor that seemed to be based on Hatcho miso, which is something that tends to divide people's preferences. I don't usually enjoy red miso soup, so that might be why I didn't like it. The service was good, so it's a bit disappointing.

After finishing at the sauna, I was eager to revisit Nishinari Hormone. This was my second visit since it first opened, and just like my last experience, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. However, the appetizers had improved even further! The hormone cuts of shiro (small intestines), abura (fat), and reba (liver) were larger and more satisfying to eat. The oden looked richer in color than my previous visit, giving it a more appetizing appearance. Despite the darker color, the flavors were not overpowering; the bamboo shoots, daikon, eggs, and beef tendons had absorbed the broth perfectly, making them absolutely delicious. I was truly impressed by the effort to enhance the taste, presentation, and dishware in such a short time. Enjoying drinks while chatting with the friendly staff made the experience even more enjoyable.

The grilled offal, cheese baked dishes, and oden were all delicious, reasonably priced, and absolutely fantastic! It’s totally fine that smoking is allowed inside the restaurant, but the woman sitting next to me at the counter kept directing her cigarette toward my face and, after smoking, inexplicably blew the smoke in my direction instead of toward her boyfriend. It was so unpleasant that I left after just 30 minutes. Haha.

In November, a new teppan (iron plate) izakaya opened in Koenji. I visited for the first time after being invited by a friend. It's located within a 5-minute walk from Koenji Station, on the second floor. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by a spacious teppan counter where chefs cook right in front of you, allowing you to enjoy a lively atmosphere while sipping on drinks. The dishes range from clever little appetizers to a variety of flour-based dishes, including perfectly fluffy okonomiyaki. Eating this delicious okonomiyaki with a drink is just the best! They even have Kiku Abura, so you can enjoy the flavors of Osaka. I really do love flour-based dishes! Pairing drinks with these types of food is always a win. I definitely want to visit again when I’m in Koenji. Thank you for the meal!

After soaking in a hot spring, I was really craving okonomiyaki and stumbled upon this restaurant on Tabelog. It just opened today, and they are offering lemon sour and Jim Beam highballs for only 100 yen from November 1 to 3 if you follow them on Instagram and give a like!
The items I ordered included Nishinari Hormone (shiro, reba, abura) for 180 yen each, okonomiyaki (butatama and sujitama), Tsuruhashi cold tofu, pork nin-nin, meat soup, and oden (beef sinew, daikon, egg, and chikuwa). The hormone was not as large as what you’d find at Nishinari's Yamaki, but it had a sweet and salty seasoning that was very similar. There was no smell, and it was delicious. The okonomiyaki had a chewy texture and was tasty. I did wish there were a few more topping options, especially mochi.
Everything on the menu pairs well with alcohol, and all the dishes looked appealing, so I definitely want to visit this place again! The bill was under 8000 yen for two people, which I thought was a good value considering the drinks were inexpensive!

The okonomiyaki is delicious! Perhaps because there is a lot of yam in it, it doesn't fill me up and I can keep eating. There are many dishes with interesting names, which makes it fun!
