I was drawn in by the flowers lined up in front of the restaurant. Even though it was just before or after the grand opening, they welcomed me without any hesitation. The interior was lively, likely due to the warm personality of the owner, with many people coming to offer their congratulations. Although they mentioned it was a branch of another restaurant, I was first struck by the incredible value for money. Just looking at the menu before eating was astonishing because of how inexpensive everything was.
To start, they served a special green onion sauce. It’s meant to be an original dip created from sauces available on the table, garlic, spicy miso, and the fat drippings from grilled offal. It was free to refill, so I ended up going back for more several times. I began my meal with kimchi, namul, and sliced onions, then ordered a recommended mixed platter of offal. This dish featured about 7 or 8 types of assorted offal served with their original dipping sauce. Despite being cheap, the portion sizes were very generous.
Of course, the tongue, short rib, and skirt steak were delicious as well. For the final dishes, I had curry and rice with raw egg, which I topped with the special green onion dipping sauce, and it was exquisite! A hidden gem was the wakame ponzu from Sumiko—it perfectly cleansed my palate after the rich grilled meat, and there was a generous amount served. Overall, I was incredibly satisfied with the overwhelming value for money. Even though it was just after opening, I didn’t have to wait and received attentive service. I can only imagine how much better it will be in 2 to 3 months as they continue to evolve. I’m thrilled to have discovered such a promising restaurant after a long time!

I was told by a friend I hadn't seen in a long time that they wanted to eat delicious grilled meat, so we went to Tenryu after a long time! The mixed hormones on the iron grill made the drinks keep coming. I ended up switching to soju halfway through, and by the end, I was having so much fun that I didn't even have the energy to take photos!

The thick-cut tongue is the best! ❤️ I'm personally not a fan of thin slices, but the thick-cut tongue here was plump and satisfying, making it incredibly delicious. The seared beef tripe sashimi was also quite substantial, with a strong texture that pairs well with drinks! Even on weekdays, it was quite lively, so reservations might be necessary!

Let's go to the yakiniku restaurant located under the elevated train tracks in Koenji! They bring a charcoal grill right to your table for grilling. Although the restaurant's name includes "horumon" (offal), the other meats are also excellent! The beef tongue is particularly noteworthy; it’s not too thick, yet it’s juicy and delicious—definitely a dish worth ordering! Highly recommend!

I wanted to eat meat, so I searched for a new restaurant in Koenji that just opened this year. Since there were two of us, we decided to avoid the specialty dish, the hormone mix, and chose various single items instead. It was a Friday, and when I made the reservation in the evening, there seemed to be plenty of seats available, but it ended up being fully packed. The staff provided courteous service, and of course, the meat was delicious. The seaweed was also tasty, and the cold noodles we had for the finale were chewy and delicious as well. We visited a barbecue place recommended by friends with our family. Since it was Friday night, the restaurant was quite busy and lively. Overall, the prices were reasonable, and it was very kid-friendly. They provided children's cutlery and plates as well. The harami (skirt steak) and beef tongue were thick, satisfying, and delicious. The cold noodles had a great chewy texture and were wonderfully mochi-like. We also tried the senmai sashimi that our friends recommended, and it was incredibly tasty too! I definitely want to have it again! However, since we had kids with us, I made a reservation for a semi-private room, but we were seated at a regular table, which was a bit surprising. Tenryu is famous for its offal, but we didn't have any this time, so next time, we’ll definitely go for the offal!

The bowl of mixed hormones offered a variety of flavors and textures to savor with each bite. The dipping sauce was excellent, making everything even more delicious, and when the harami arrived, I couldn’t resist putting it on rice and drizzling it with sauce—it was pure bliss. I also loved the cold noodles; both the noodles and the broth were absolutely to my taste.

I've already visited this place more than three times. When it comes to offal, this is the spot! The mixed offal here is always a hit; I've never had a bad dish! The cost performance is excellent! Since it’s a mix, I don't know which parts I'm eating, but it’s become part of the fun to talk about how delicious everything is and guess where each piece comes from.
Additionally, we’ve now got “Korean seaweed” as a regular item since our last visit. It’s delicious and not something I have often, making it perfect as a snack. And I can't forget the cold noodles to finish off the meal. The smooth texture is fantastic, and the flavor is superb no matter how many times I try it.
As I mentioned before, it would be great to have two types of sauces for the meat (not just for offal but for grilled meat as well), and I would be happy if the variety of sake could increase as well. Nevertheless, the mixed offal is outstanding! I will definitely be returning again!

Once again, I went to Hormone Yakiniku Tenryu. The more I eat, the more I become addicted. Before coming to Tenryu, I wasn't really a fan of hormones, but now I absolutely love them. The sauce is just so delicious. To finish off the meal, I put some harami on rice and pour the sauce, enriched with the fat from the hormones, over it. The combination with cold noodles is also incredibly perfect. I'm definitely becoming a regular customer!

The crispy peppers (are they called crispy peppers?) were delicious on their own, but they tasted even better when paired with the meat!! I visited a new grilled hormone (offal) and yakiniku restaurant under the elevated railway near Koenji Station (towards Nakano). The ceiling had a disco ball and the walls featured menu items like "Party People" and "Tequila," giving it a youthful vibe. However, when I went, there were mostly older male customers, so it didn't feel very lively with people shouting "Woohoo!" or anything like that.
I ordered the hormone assortment (regular), salted beef tongue, plum pickles, a mixed namul platter, a three kinds platter, cold noodles, and about 3-4 drinks. The hormone assortment came in a bowl and was quite generous in portion, even for the regular size! The spicy sauce was well absorbed, making it delicious straight off the grill. The beef tongue was beautifully colored, thick, and tasty as well.
As for drinks, I was a bit disappointed that the shochu selection was limited, since I personally like it. The cold noodles I had as a final dish were mild in flavor and refreshing. The seaweed was fresh and very tasty! It's great that the restaurant is so close to the station, making it easy to enjoy delicious hormone. I'm also curious about trying the stone bibimbap next time as a final dish!

I went to the restaurant at 5:30 PM on a Sunday! Because of the timing, I was able to sit at the counter, but all the tables were fully booked. After us, a party of two came in, and by just after 6 PM, there were about four groups waiting. Although electronic cigarettes are allowed in the restaurant, there were many children present during the early hours, so I chose to smoke outside this time.
