I ordered the beef pepper rice, which came with a generous portion of rice. The food arrived quickly, and it was hot and appetizing. The beef slices were tender and the corn was sweet and tasty. My companion ordered the exciting combo set, which included steak, hamburger, and fried egg. The hamburger was delicious, and I would definitely like to try the meat patty hamburger next time. Overall, we had a great dining experience at Pepper Lunch.

We went to Pepper Lunch for the "Hamburg Steak with Fried Egg" and got some beer for a food court drink session. "The bean sprouts are delicious," they say. That's not really something to praise... Not that it's bad to praise it either. Well, I think it's just okay... It's bean sprouts after all. I think the hamburg steak is just average, but it's "delicious," they say. I don't really trust hamburg steak, but I have no complaints. The price is still not what I would call reasonable, but it's delicious... I guess. At least, it's a good accompaniment to beer.

Today's lunch. I had lunch at a food court in Shin-Sapporo for work. I was in the mood for a hearty meal, so I chose this place. I ordered a limited menu item with plenty of cheese, sorry I forgot the name. It was in the 800 yen range, and I got the large portion. This chain was originally started by the company that owns Ikinari Steak, but it was sold off due to poor performance, which is a well-known story. Personally, I think Pepper Lunch is more cost-effective and appealing. I wish the portion was bigger, but overall I'm satisfied. The cheese did a great job in the hot stone pot. I visited Pepper Lunch for lunch. I ordered the Beef Pepper Rice, which was loaded with plenty of meat. In the center of the hot iron plate, there was rice, corn, and green onions, surrounded by half-cooked beef. There was pepper paste in the middle of the rice, so I mixed everything well. Mixing it all together added the savory flavor of the meat fat to the rice, and the simple seasoning with black pepper allowed me to enjoy it hot until the end. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I went to the game center in Shin-Sapporo with the kids. It was free parking day, so we could enjoy Shin-Sapporo at a leisurely pace! The kids requested lunch at McDonald's, so we headed to the food court. The staff were diligently cleaning due to COVID-19 measures, which left a good impression. However, the empty booths were noticeable and a bit lonely. I ordered the exciting double burger for 1500 yen with wasabi soy sauce. The drink free ticket was no longer valid as the service ended in March, which was disappointing.

When you think of Pepper Lunch, you think of Beef Pepper Rice, but on this day, it was hot so I ordered the Meatball Hamburg (which was still sizzling). It came with a salad for 1144 yen. Hmm, going over 1000 yen for lunch is a bit tough. My stomach was full so I would give it a 3.5 rating, as recommended by others.

The car didn't pass the inspection, so we had to say goodbye to it. Feeling sad, we decided to go for a drive since it wasn't raining or snowing. We arrived late around 7:30 pm after work, and the place was empty probably due to COVID. We originally planned to go for an expensive steak, but it was too pricey for the three of us, so we ended up at another place. It turned out to be good, and we all ordered 250g steaks. They were cooked quickly on a hot plate, and we enjoyed them with some salt and pepper. It was satisfying, and we paid a total of 4092 yen for the meal. From today, we will start saving money again. I used it for the first time for lunch. It's the food court on the basement second floor of Katapuri. The seats are spacious and relaxing, with bench seats available too! The hamburger is thick and satisfying, with a strong meaty flavor and a nice touch of black pepper spice! The food court at Kattepri. There are two restaurants, Ikinari Steak and Pepper Lunch, both owned by the same company and offering a similar type of cuisine. I've been seeing news online recently about Ikinari Steak's declining performance, and I'm worried they might close down. Pepper Lunch seems to have a lot more customers. I decided to have lunch at the food court again, trying the new Meat Trio set which includes hamburger, sirloin, and service steak. The total weight is 980 grams, and it's a good deal for the price. The sirloin steak was the most delicious. Personally, I'm not a fan of the hamburger as it feels too beefy with 100% beef content. The regular size at Pepper Lunch seems to have too much fat for my taste. I hope either Ikinari Steak or Pepper Lunch will focus more on their business instead of worrying about their competition.

I visited Pepper Lunch on the same floor as the declining Ikinaristeak. I wanted to try their hamburgers, so I ordered the 300g hamburger and the 300g wild cut steak. The food was served quickly as always. The hamburger was cut into pieces and cooked on a hot iron plate, just like the steak. The sauce was a bit salty, but the meat was hearty and satisfying. The sweet steak sauce went well with it. The spaghetti and corn sides filled me up. I think I prefer the wild cut steak over the hamburger. Next time, I might try the sirloin.

On my day off, I made full use of the Donichika pass and headed to Shin Sapporo. The area around the station feels like I've explored it all, but being directly connected to the subway makes it convenient to wander around, especially on rainy days or in winter. I planned to enjoy a Cheese Hot Dog with a beer, but the hot dog shop doesn't serve beer. So, I settled for a draft beer at Pepper Lunch for 450 yen each. It was okay, nothing special. Since it's a food court, it's self-service, so maybe 350 yen would have been more reasonable. Thank you for the meal.

This is my second visit. I was planning to get the Wild Steak 300g, but ended up ordering the Beef Pepper Rice which is 2.5 times the normal amount of meat for 1,100 yen. The meat around the rice in the photo was overflowing. I was excitedly waiting for the 2.5 times portion. When the bell rang and I went to pick it up, it was different from the photo. False advertising? The amount of meat was way off!! I've never had the normal Beef Pepper Rice before, so I don't know, but if this is 2.5 times the portion, then the normal one must have hardly any meat, right? It was supposed to have more meat than rice, but if you look, you can see that the rice is more than the meat! The taste itself was delicious. The price is also cheap, so if I hadn't seen that advertisement, I would have been satisfied. It was a simple and delicious lunch. Next time, I think I'll go for the Wild 300g Steak after all.

From August 2019, I tried the fried chicken and beer set for 702 yen after work. I was hoping to find a place open on the last day of Obon, but couldn't find one. I should have just gone straight home, but my desire to have a drink somewhere got the best of me. I ended up at the chaotic New Sapporo Food Court. While this food court seems to cater to families, there were surprisingly many people having a drink in the evening. You can enjoy a beer set with a choice of food (fries, fried chicken, onion rings) for 630-650 yen. I ordered the fried chicken set for 650 yen, but the total came out to be 702 yen... I didn't realize the tax was not included. The fried chicken was smaller than I expected, maybe slightly bigger than Lawson's Karaage-kun. It tasted like "Karaage-kun made by a skilled person." The beer was easy to drink, but it felt watered down compared to the happoshu I usually drink. Overall, I realized that this set wasn't really a good deal as the prices added up to the same as ordering items individually. I felt a bit deceived. Thank you for the meal.

Pepper Lunch had opened a new store, but isn't it similar to Ikinari Steak? Is it okay to have similar types of restaurants in the same place? I tried the Wild Cut Steak 300g for the first time this time. Rice comes in a large portion for free. I ordered it and it was ready in about a second. They served it on a hot plate without cooking it, so you can cook it to your liking. This is a good idea for saving time. The taste of the steak itself is ordinary. It's not much different from buying a large steak from the supermarket and cooking it. It tastes better when cooked on the hot plate. There are spicy and sweet sauces to choose from, depending on your preference. I recommend getting the large portion of rice, as even with 300g, it's not too much. I finished it easily. Next time, I might try the hamburger.

In June 2019, I visited the Catepri Food Court in Shin Sapporo. I ordered the Beef Pepper Rice. It took less than 10 minutes for it to be served. They mixed it on a hot iron plate. The sauce was already on it, but you could add more if needed at the front of the store. The beef was tender with little fat, and it was delicious. The iron plate stayed hot till the end, so it was enjoyable throughout. The seasoning was light, but just right for me. Thank you for the meal! :)

Arrived at 8:00 pm on a regular day with no other customers. The food court on the B2F of Catepri opened at the end of last year. Currently, there are 4 stores in Hokkaido. There were 3 staff members. I ordered the popular "Beef Pepper Rice (S)" (702 yen). The menu prices are excluding tax, so be careful. Although there was a call receiver, I was not given one and was told to wait in front of the counter. Perhaps because it would be ready quickly. Since I was wearing a suit, the staff asked if I needed a paper apron, but I declined. As expected, it arrived in a few minutes. It was sizzling hot in a special dish, with a paper band around the edge to prevent oil splatter. On top of the rice were green onions and corn, with rare beef around the edge. There is sauce inside the rice, so mix well until the color is uniform. Meanwhile, the beef is also being cooked. And then, the first bite... It was hot, juicy, and delicious! It had a spicy flavor from the pepper and tasted like a steak sauce pilaf. The beef was tender as well. The burnt rice that comes later is also delicious! I was satisfied with the deliciousness of my first pepper lunch. The S size is just right if you want a light dinner. Next time, I might try the hamburger.
