If you're looking for Hokkaido wine in Sapporo, I highly recommend this place. I actually knew about it for a while because my company is nearby, but this was my first visit since I've become a wine lover. They serve small dishes with the wine, so it's a good choice for a first stop. The themes vary by day, and sometimes they have rare wines available. While there were many regular customers, the atmosphere was quite relaxed, so I didn't feel nervous at all as a first-timer. Thank you for the meal! #wine lovers unite #wine lover #Hokkaido wine #barcom

Next to the cafe, I often pass by this place. But this day, I decided to stop by for a bit. I want to spend time enjoying delicious food and wine. Inside, there are two round counters and a straight counter, as well as booth seats. The menu offers tapas made with Hokkaido ingredients that go well with alcohol. I ordered a La Salve Spanish beer for 900 yen. The tapas here is made with Tokachi mashed potatoes, shaped like shiitake mushrooms and sprinkled with coarse salt. It's quite tasty as a side dish! The beer comes in a bottle, so the tapas portion felt a bit small. I also ordered a Tardana de Estenas 2019 white wine for 900 yen. This tapas was squid rice from Setana topped with raclette cheese. It goes really well with these drinks! If you feel like the tapas are not enough, you can double the portion. Other options include pie, Tokachi mashed potatoes, cheese, but no meat dishes. I was looking forward to it based on other reviews, but the place was colder than expected, and I ended up drinking the wine quickly. I left early. From the counter seat, you can see the kitchen, which is an interesting open kitchen concept. The tapas seemed to be prepared by just putting them in the microwave or oven, as they were covered with plastic wrap. I felt that the tapas portion was small compared to the amount of alcohol. It's a place to go when you already have a somewhat full stomach. That was the impression I got. Thank you for the meal!

2022/5 Quick visit to a place between Sapporo Station and Odori Park, offering a selection of wines and tapas made with local ingredients at no extra charge. The atmosphere is sophisticated with rows of wine bottles and indirect lighting. Happy hour until 7:30 PM, where you can enjoy free tapas that pair well with your drink. The Spanish CAVA for 900 yen was delicious. Each order comes with complimentary tapas, and you can order as many times as you like. The service includes cooking based on your preferences. The local mini tomato jelly had a refreshing acidity and sweetness that paired well with the sparkling wine. They have special events depending on the day and time, offering high-quality wines at affordable prices with generous servings. Thank you for the meal.

All-time, no cover charge! On weekdays from 17:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays from 15:00 to 18:00, you can enjoy wine at a great price. Unopened wines from the previous day are each discounted by 200 yen. Let's take a look at another great deal set. ◆Happy Hour 1 glass of unopened wine from the previous day & 2 types of appetizers for 1000 yen When inquiring about red wine, there were 4 options ranging from 600 yen to 800 yen, and you can choose any one of them. I decided to go for the more expensive one and was recommended a lighter option if I didn't plan on stopping at just one glass! - Alansbia Crianza A 2015 Spanish wine. Full-bodied with a slight acidity and a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. The set appetizers include mushroom pickles and pork ham. The pickles have various mushrooms such as shiitake, enoki, and black fungus, with a mild acidity and delicious flavor. The pork ham is moist with a good amount of fat. Since my friend also arrived, we added more wine and food! ◆Iwamug pork rillettes for 500 yen The brown item on top is Sapporo yellow onion jelly. It has a rich onion soup-like flavor that pairs well with the rillettes. ◆Ufu Mayo for 200 yen each Topped with saffron mayonnaise and karasumi. The herbs might be a bit subtle. ◆Dardel for 800 yen (Happy Hour 600 yen) A Spanish wine. I went for the heaviest one as recommended. It has a unique taste with some heaviness, although I prefer a bit more bitterness. The female staff at the counter had a good sense of distance and were pleasant. Unfortunately, I didn't get to talk to the chef, but the atmosphere was even more charming than the photos shown to me by my friend. Oh, it seems like the business hours have changed... I'll leave it as it is, but the hours written on the door in the photos seem to be correct. Besides Happy Hour, there seems to be a 1500 yen set with Hokkaido wine and appetizers available at other times as well!

It's nice to have a place where you can easily enjoy delicious food and wine in a cozy atmosphere. The chef and staff are friendly and the dishes are carefully prepared, showing their deliciousness. The staff's recommendations are timely and accurate, leaving me very satisfied. The knödel in particular is the best I've ever had! You can add uni sauce for an extra 500 yen, but personally, I prefer to enjoy it as it is. The homemade bread is also amazing, I want to take some home. With just this, wine would be perfect. They also have a wide range of desserts, so you can enjoy a light drink or a full meal, giving you a lot of flexibility. There were also many solo diners enjoying their meals.

This was my second visit to this place, as I liked it the first time. I dropped by during a business trip at night. There was already a group of regular customers at the counter. I didn't mind and sat at a different counter. I ordered chicken liver pate, Iberico pork chorizo, and a glass of red wine. I asked for a heavy red wine and got one from Spain. The food and wine were delicious. The only downside was that I felt a bit ignored. It seemed like they thought I wouldn't order a second glass, as my glass was empty but they didn't come over to offer me another one. They seemed more focused on the regular customers and didn't pay much attention to me. Unfortunately, I left after just one glass this time. It made me realize how important people are.

Sapporo Station and Odori Station are right in the middle. It's a glass-walled first floor, so I found the place quickly. The chef changed this spring. He used to work at the Grand Hotel and a famous restaurant. The menu has also changed. I will visit with my girlfriends. The interior has an open kitchen with a counter and tables. The chairs are a bit high, but even children are okay. I pre-booked a course meal. There are set menus for 1500 yen, 2500 yen, and 3500 yen, depending on the amount you want to eat. This time, we didn't eat much, so we chose the 2500 yen course. We left the alcohol choice to the staff and had wine. I can't really talk about wine, so I will show you in the photos. The dishes included: Flounder Carpaccio, Inca's Awakening Potato Fries, Homemade Yeast Bread, Mushroom Salad, White Wine-Steamed Clams, and Ebe Pork Rillettes. Everything was delicious. The meat was tender, and the spices were just right. The mushrooms were prepared in a unique way, and even those who usually don't like them might enjoy it. The little turnip inside the clam was also delicious. The vegetables were tasty too. Open kitchens are great, and the chef was fantastic. The service was excellent, and there was nothing to complain about. The bill came to a little over 4000 yen per person. We spent a leisurely 2 and a half hours and were very satisfied. They also have a la carte menu items, so you can stop by for a quick drink. Whether you're alone or with a group, it's a great place to visit.

I stayed in Sapporo for one night. I searched for a place near Sapporo Station where I could drink wine, and found this place. Despite the high ratings, when I visited on a Saturday night at 10pm, there were only three women sitting at the counter. I started with a craft beer from Kirin, which seems to be the only option available. I tried the yuzu-flavored one and it was delicious, although a bit pricey at 900 yen. I also ordered a 2-item plate for 500 yen, which included grilled mushrooms and half a chicken liver pate. I enjoyed both the red and white wines I ordered. Although I wanted to try a red wine from Hokkaido, they only had white wine, which turned out to be slightly sparkling and very good.

This is a small and cozy adult-oriented restaurant that is known only to those in the know. You can ask the friendly staff about various wines.

This is a restaurant that mainly uses ingredients from Hokkaido and offers Hokkaido wines (mostly by the bottle). We visited for a second round after Oktoberfest as last orders are at 2,000. The food is delicious, but in terms of creativity and the wow factor when tasting the snacks, we found Cantinetta Salus on Tanuki Koji Street to be better. During happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00, you can enjoy sparkling wine and three snacks for 1,000 yen, so it might be a good choice for a pre-drink gathering.

It was cheaper than I expected! It was disappointing that there were no main dishes like pasta or rice. It might be good if you just want to have a little drink and some snacks before heading home, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

One of the reasons I love Hokkaido is because you can enjoy delicious wine and Hokkaido ingredients as appetizers at Barco. You can even get rare Hokkaido wines served by the glass. They offer Crisawa Blanc, known as Japan's finest white wine! It's a wine from a small vineyard run by Mr. and Mrs. Nakazawa. It has a lovely aroma and a clean acidity. The taste is rich with the essence of the grapes and a strong sense of terroir. I was immersed in its aftertaste for a while. The rillette served with it has a onion jelly that adds acidity and enhances the Crisawa Blanc. It was a blissful moment. They also have a variety of Hokkaido wines, Spanish wines selected by the owner who loves Spain, and more... The selection is abundant, making it a place you'd want to visit every day. They have many business travelers from Kanto and other regions, so it's fun to hear different stories.

Today, I finally visited the Balco restaurant that I had been wanting to go to! The atmosphere was a bit different from what I had imagined, it was bright and had a lively vibe. Located in an office district, it suits the surroundings well. There were a variety of options, making it hard to choose, but they mostly offered lighter dishes with fewer hearty options. - Yellowtail Carpaccio: Delicious yellowtail with a rich sauce, perfect as an appetizer. - Cheese Grissini: Crunchy grissini with a delightful cheesy aroma, irresistible! - Inca Awakening Gratin: Creamy Inca with a mild sauce, though I wish it was a bit richer, it was still elegant and tasty. - Inca Awakening Gnocchi: Gnocchi with blue cheese sauce. The sweetness of the potato-like gnocchi paired well with the mild blue cheese sauce, which was easy to eat. The sauce was so good that I was recommended to dip bread in it, and adding bread was a perfect match and delicious! - Roasted Pork: Fragrant spiced pork with fresh vegetables. The mustard cream sauce complemented it perfectly, very tasty! Hmm, I'm so full! I thought I had canceled one dish when ordering, but ended up getting everything (laughs). It would have been even better if they asked for orders a bit earlier! Thank you for the meal!

A few minutes' walk from the Subway Odori Station. Located on the first floor of a building along Kita 2-jo Street. Intrigued by the view of the interior through the glass windows from outside, I casually entered. There are many counter seats and one four-person table. There is also a large barrel table for standing drinking and eating. Seated at the counter, where shelves lined with many wines can be seen. Started with a beer, then struggled to decide which wine to have. I have almost zero knowledge of wine, so I found something perfect for me. There is a "Chef's Choice Wine Course" with 3 options. I chose the ◆Chef's Choice Wine Course for 2500 yen. It includes 4 glasses of Chef's choice wines - sparkling, white, and 2 reds. It was said to be a bit more cost-effective than ordering individual glasses. The menu includes tapas and a variety of dishes such as appetizers, main meat dishes, pasta, and desserts. Truly a bar. The ingredients seem to be mostly from Hokkaido. I then had the following items: ◆Mushroom Carpaccio 700 yen ◆Autumn Salmon Escabeche 700 yen ◆Ezo Deer Sausage 700 yen ◆Crispy Sheep Cheese Popcorn 300 yen ◆Blue Cheese Cream Sauce Pasta 1400 yen The Ezo deer sausage was delicious, but the price for just one was a bit questionable. However, the other dishes were quite generous in portion and satisfying. Everything was very delicious. Although it is a wine-focused establishment, the level of the food was also very high. The sommelier (female) and one or two staff members in the kitchen were working efficiently and providing friendly service. Some staff members were absent due to participating in an event in Sapporo city that day. Most customers seemed to be regulars, and there was no rowdiness. A lovely restaurant attracts lovely customers, perhaps. (I am also a customer. lol) It's a nice place for enjoying wine and tapas, but I think you can also enjoy it for dining purposes. <Side note> This review marks the 500th review for this restaurant. It took 10 years. lol I want to continue quietly at my own pace in the future.

I visited this bar as a first-time customer on a business trip. It's a bar with good quality. You can enjoy delicious dishes mainly made from Hokkaido ingredients. The drinks, such as wine and sherry, are reasonably priced and offer a variety of options. I tried the pate de campagne, which was delicious and had a good portion size. It's nice that the food comes out quickly. However, as someone who is not very Japanese in taste, I found the lack of offal a bit unsatisfying. The homemade whole wheat bread that came as a set was also delicious. It was a bit too strong for my liking, but that's just a matter of preference. The roasted Ezo deer was cooked rare to perfection, and the accompanying vegetables were plentiful and tasty. The sauce that came with it was also quite good. The wine, an Argentine wine at a normal price, was decent. I also tried the medium and sweet sherries, which were quite wonderful. They had a much better balance than cheap wines. Honestly, wine is difficult... unless it's something expensive like Bordeaux.
