I bought Horie's Yubari Melon Pure Jelly as a souvenir. Although it's called jelly, it doesn't have the typical jelly texture. It feels like it melts and disappears in your mouth. Yubari melon itself has a unique melting texture, which this jelly preserves. It's called a melting quality. You can enjoy it chilled or frozen, and it goes down smoothly. It's almost like the pure jelly slightly diminishes the specialness of the Yubari melon.

I wanted to have a meal, dessert, buy dinner for myself, and get a souvenir (even though I didn't go on a trip) before heading home, but I couldn't find the deli I was looking for even after looking at the map, so I gave up and stopped by here on a whim. There are so many choices, it's hard to decide. White Lover and Jagapokuru are good too, but I chose Mitou. It contains three flavors - white chocolate with chestnut, black chocolate with blueberry, and milk chocolate with caramel. Personally, I liked the milk chocolate with caramel the best. Unfortunately, I thought Bern's mille-feuille was tastier than Mitou.

Rokkatei's butter cake was originally only available at select Rokkatei stores, but finally, it is now sold at souvenir shops everywhere. Rokkatei was known for their butter sand, but recently, the size has become smaller and the appearance is not as appealing. Personally, I'm not a fan of chocolate Jagacky because I find the combination of cookie and chocolate too intense, so I hesitated. Luckily, they had a version without chocolate, so I went for that. It was my first time trying Hamanasu no Koi. It's a firm Langue de Chat cookie with a good crunch from the chocolate. I noticed "hamanasu" in the ingredients, but I wonder where it is in the cookie - maybe in the chocolate? As for Jagacky, it seems that I just don't enjoy the cookie itself, as the buttery flavor is too rich and overwhelming for my taste.

At first, I thought it was women's fashion, but surprisingly there were a lot of food items. They were selling the president's shiokara. I guess I really like pre-made shiokara. I also like Matsumae pickles. The rounded corners and salty taste are not too strong, so it's the kind of thing you would eat rather than with rice. There are a lot of sweets at the souvenir shop, thank you for the meal.

They sell ice cream made with Hokkaido milk and tropical fruits. The ice cream comes in an egg-shaped container resembling an egg carton, with faces on the assortment. It reminded me of the chewy ice cream I used to eat. The prices range from 250 yen, with mango and durian being slightly more expensive. The ice cream is served in a container that looks like a blown-up rubber balloon, and the staff cuts the top part and pushes it out with a wooden spatula for easy eating. It's quite interesting! I chose the popular "Oh! Berry," which was sweet and sour and delicious. It's not sherbet, but more like gelato. It's easy to eat without getting your hands dirty, making it great for kids too. I received a box of Shiroi Koibito as a gift, a popular Hokkaido souvenir with chocolate sandwiched between langues de chat cookies. I went to the local department store where the Great Hokkaido Exhibition was being held. It is a general souvenir shop located on the second floor of the domestic terminal building. They were selling Maruchan yakisoba bento for 183 yen each. This product is advertised by the comedy duo Takahashi & Toshi and is a cup yakisoba sold exclusively in the Hokkaido region under the Maruchan brand. Yakisoba bento is a popular choice in Hokkaido, while UFO is popular in western Japan and Peyang in eastern Japan. The yakisoba is a typical cup yakisoba, but the sauce is a bit on the stronger side. It has a unique feature where you make the soup with boiling water. The soup is Chinese-style and overall it is an enjoyable product. Today, I fell in love with the food exhibition at Kintetsu Department Store in Uehommachi. The location was convenient, right next to Kintetsu Uehommachi Station. I tried the limited edition Ebi Senbei, which was crispy and full of shrimp flavor. The service was good and the overall cost performance was decent. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.
