I stopped by a shop selling American miscellaneous goods at the Deep Mountain Pass. The store was two stories high and filled with various American goods. After browsing the store, I purchased about 4-5 items that I liked and decided to treat myself to something delicious. That's when I noticed the words "limited time offer." Even though I don't come here often, I was drawn to it. My heart was set on the "Mango Crepe." I usually don't choose crepes because they often disappoint, but I decided to give it a try here. It was ready in 2-3 minutes. I ate it outside. It was filled with plenty of fresh chilled mango. There was cream and even more mango inside. The delicious mango flesh was delightful to taste. After enjoying it, I continued on my journey. It was delicious!

This is a shop located in the mountains between Kamifurano and Biei. It's a nice place to take a break on the way back from Kamifurano. I always pass by this road on my way back to Furano, but it was my first time entering the shop. From the atmosphere, I thought it might be a shop selling soft serve ice cream, but it turns out they also sell American miscellaneous goods. The menu includes crepes, soft serve ice cream, drinks, sundaes, and parfaits made with soft serve. I tried the "Mixed Berry Parfait" (540 yen) and added a homemade cookie topping (50 yen). I also ordered an "Oolong Tea" (150 yen). The staff at the shop were very friendly and asked if I came from far away, as I mentioned I was from Asahikawa. The Mixed Berry Parfait had a refreshing taste with frozen berries used. It was reasonably priced and satisfying. The cornflakes and the blue part at the bottom were jelly, nothing too special but overall decent. The homemade cookie for 50 yen was worth it considering the effort put into it. It's a convenient shop for a rest stop during a drive!

On the way back from Obihiro to Asahikawa in June 2020, the chappytsum family decided to take a break near the boundary between Biei and Kamifurano at the Deep Mountain Pass (elevation 288m). They thought they should have stretched their legs a little more and taken a break in Biei, or stopped in Furano instead, but their son woke up in Kamifurano and started to fuss, so there was no choice. They ended up at "Tabletop" restaurant. Honestly, the Deep Mountain Pass is one of the more minor passes in Hokkaido, with amusement parks and a Trick Art Museum as tourist attractions. But for food bloggers, it's all about eating chicken, right? They took a photo with a cow and had some soft serve ice cream (milk) for 330 yen. It had a strong milk flavor, but left a bit of an aftertaste. Honestly, it wasn't that delicious. They thought they should have taken a break in Furano or Biei instead. (laughs)

The other day, I went on a drive around the neighborhood and stayed overnight (lol). I'll be posting about the places I visited to eat one by one. First up is this place. I took a back road, not the main highway, from Biei to Kamifurano, and along the way, I turned off onto a hill road, crossed the highway, and arrived here. It's a cafe and miscellaneous goods shop. They have handmade items and colorful American-style goods. There were also products on the second floor. There are some table seats downstairs, so you can enjoy the cafe inside as well. I ordered the Lavender Float. It's a month late for the season, but I'll enjoy it as a way to remember the end of summer. It's refreshing and delicious. A cool and enjoyable taste. After having something cold, I'll move on to something warm♪
