I came here in Hakodate! For lunch, I chose the Tori Shirayu Shio Ramen (900 yen) because when you think of Hakodate, you think of salt, right? The flavor was rich and not like your typical salt ramen. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the noodles were deliciously coated in the rich white broth. However, because the flavor was so intense, I found myself drinking water constantly haha. There was a generous amount of egg topping, which I appreciated. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on Sunday at 2:00 PM and the restaurant was almost full. There are 2 table seats, 2 sunken kotatsu seats for 2 people, 1 for 4 people, and a counter with 7 seats. They have child-friendly amenities like high chairs, forks, spoons, and small plates. The food was served within about 10 minutes of ordering. I ordered the half fried rice set (soy sauce ramen) for ¥880 and the Kazuki spicy miso ramen for ¥850. The half fried rice was quite filling and satisfying!

It was my first visit to a ramen shop along the Akamatsu Street in Kikyo. There were quite a variety of ramen options, so I was a bit indecisive. However, based on recommendations from others, I decided to try the wasabi-infused black soy sauce ramen. It turned out to be a good combination and I enjoyed it without getting tired of the taste.

Hachizuki Ramen in this area is located along the roadside with many ramen shops, making it a surprisingly competitive area. They seem to recommend their grilled pork chashu. They also offer new items like black soy sauce ramen and dried fish ramen. It seems like they are conscious of Ichimonji and Hanamizuki. I decided to go for the set menu with a light soy sauce ramen and pork with wasabi rice bowl. The light soy sauce ramen had a plain soy sauce base made from chicken bones, nothing particularly notable but just right for those looking for a refreshing soup. The pork with wasabi rice bowl was excellent. It was topped generously with wasabi, but the flavor wasn't overpowering, and the aroma of wasabi complemented the pork bowl nicely. Overall, the pork bowl seemed like the better choice and was quite satisfying.

It had been a while since I last visited this restaurant. When I arrived at 11:30, more than half of the seats were already taken, and more customers kept coming in, leading to a full house. It's a popular spot. I was in the mood for miso, so I ordered the "Gokumiso Ramen" for 850 yen. I usually go for set menus, so this was my first time ordering just miso. The menu photo showed a light miso or a blend of miso, but what I got was a red miso. Personally, I found the flavor to be strong and salty. It would have been tough without rice to balance out the seasoning. The thick, tender chashu slices were delicious. Next time I visit, I'll go back to ordering a set menu.

I ordered the set menu "Half Fried Rice Set - Salt Ramen" for 850 yen. After waiting for about 20 minutes, the ramen was served. It didn't have "wheat gluten" as advertised, but it did have 1 sheet of seaweed, 1 slice of chashu, bamboo shoots, and green onions. The ramen was covered in quite a bit of oil, with yellow noodles and a rich tasting soup. Just as I started eating, the fried rice arrived. At first glance, I thought "the fried rice looks greasy." The fried rice had plenty of ingredients, giving it a satisfying texture. The half portion was just right for me. Both the salt ramen and the fried rice seemed a bit heavy in flavor to me.

Before, my husband and I skipped this ramen shop because it was too crowded. But we decided to give it another try. It was packed at lunchtime, and by the time we finished eating, there was a long line outside. It's a popular place.
I had the Spicy Miso Ramen for 880 yen. It was quite spicy but delicious with a nice kick. There were plenty of bean sprouts which added a nice crunch. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I'm not a big fan of wood ear mushrooms, but they were finely chopped and easy to eat. It was really tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I recently visited a ramen restaurant called "Katsuki" along the Akamatsu Kaido road, which was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Roads in the late Showa period. I tried their Shio (salt) ramen for the first time, which was light and delicious. The medium-thick curly noodles were just to my liking. I would recommend this place for those who prefer light flavors. I also ordered the fried rice set, which was only 850 yen and satisfying in terms of saltiness.

This is a restaurant I went to based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. It was more delicious than the ramen shops I had been to before, so I visited it irregularly. The only downside for me was that it had a lot of oil. If you like oily dishes, you might enjoy it.

Since February 2015, this is my visit. Last time I had a simple soy sauce ramen and half fried rice set which was surprisingly delicious. This time, I'll try the salt ramen with a half fried rice set! The price is 850 yen for the "all-day set." It was brought to me in less than 10 minutes. Let's dig in! The soup is a bit cloudy with a good amount of oil floating on top. It has a slight sweetness and just the right amount of saltiness. Probably chicken broth, I think. The noodles are medium-thin with a slight curl, cooked firm, which I like. The chashu is tender with a nice thickness, very tasty. The half fried rice is quite different from last time. The rice is soft, oily, and slightly greasy with a faint oil smell. The seasoning is quite light, almost white in color. Overall, the ramen is slightly better than average, but the fried rice is below average. If I were to revisit, I would go for the large ramen portion. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I planned to go to a ramen shop on the Kikyo Ramen Street, but the parking lot was full and there was a long line, so I had to give up. I noticed that some people were parking in the supermarket parking lot next to the ramen shop and walking over. It's no wonder it's crowded. So, I decided to go back to the ramen street and ended up at "Kazuki" instead. Luckily, there was an open parking spot and we were able to enter smoothly. The tables and raised seating area were almost full, so we were seated at the counter. The menu had a set menu available even though it was a Sunday, and it was quite affordable. I chose to go with the signature "Kazuki Shoyu Ramen," while my companion ordered a set menu with "Salt Ramen and Pork Mayo Donburi." The food arrived quickly, and the soup was a bit salty but not too rich. The chashu had a good texture with a decent amount of meat. Overall, the ramen was average with no standout features. It's a place I would consider going to if I'm hungry and it's nearby. And to top it off, we received a 100 yen discount coupon on our way out. That's even better value for money! I'll definitely go back! (laughs)

A ramen shop located along Route 5, a little far from Hakodate city. It's a relatively new shop that always appears in ramen magazines in the city, indicating its popularity. I went there for lunch because I had work in the afternoon. Surprisingly, I was the first customer that day. I was wondering if the shop wasn't doing well, but soon more customers started coming in. It was exciting to see that the shop was actually thriving. I was in the mood for spicy miso ramen, but since it was my first visit, I ordered the popular "Gokumiso" ramen. I sat at the counter and could see the kitchen a bit. Within 10 minutes, the Gokumiso ramen arrived. It looked rich and had a tempting aroma. When I tasted the soup, it was delicious! It was rich yet refreshing, making me want to keep drinking it. The boiled egg was fried, which was probably a first for me. The taste itself was within my expectations, nothing surprising, but the fried egg left a lasting impression since it's not common in other shops. I finished the ramen quickly, sweating all over. I'm already thinking about what to order next time I visit. However, for residents of Hakodate city, the shop is a bit far, so it might be a hassle to go there. I have a bad habit of opting for nearby places, but I will definitely visit again.
