I came here because I wasn't satisfied with my drink. It's really crowded here. I just managed to get a seat. The clientele is on the higher end, but it's busy yet calm enough to enjoy a leisurely drink. They had a decent selection of sake, and I was able to enjoy some pretty good local sake.

I had the meat and leek soba. It's a limited-time offer. The leeks are really good, especially the crunchy texture of the stem leeks. They go well with the broth, so you can enjoy chewing on them for a while. By the way, it's a specialty of Tochigi Prefecture. You can get a free extra-large portion for lunch. It's delicious when you mix the egg yolk with the soba. It feels like my body, which was feeling a bit sluggish from the summer heat, has perked up. Thank you for the meal!

★KG★I visited around 9 pm on a weekday. It is located in the dining area underground in the Hokuren Building. After having drinks at the first place, we felt like eating some soba and maybe having a few more drinks, so we found the perfect place that satisfied our mood. They have a variety of sake options, a selection of sushi, and their main dishes are tempura and soba, giving off a unique and intriguing menu. We decided to order a salmon, ikura, and cream cheese "ate maki sushi" as a small rice dish. It turned out to be a roll with cucumber inside, topped with salmon sashimi, cheese, and ikura, quite a challenging menu. The tempura included pickled ginger, corn tempura, and chicken tartare. The menu also offered unique items like natto pouches and potato butter salted cod tempura, which was really exciting. The tempura might have been a bit on the wet side, so it may not receive high praise, but the amusement park-like fun in the menu composition was enjoyable. I chose the spicy chili oil meat dipping soba for my soba dish. They also had cold soba (made with ramen noodles), Taiwanese mixed soba made with real soba, and other unconventional soba options. The soba didn't have much of its own flavor, but it seemed like they focused on the variety in their menu rather than the taste. This restaurant gave me a unique experience where my motivation to revisit was not based on the taste but on the allure of their menu lineup. It's difficult to rate this place (laughs).

After enjoying a generous all-you-can-drink session of Sapporo Classic draft beer, I decided to finish off with a popular summer menu item - the Spicy Ramen with Chili Oil and Meat (¥880). I surprised myself by opting for something so bold at this point in the meal. The dish came with sliced simmered pork on top of the noodles, garnished with plenty of chopped seaweed and sesame seeds. The broth had a layer of spicy oil floating on top, adding an extra kick to each slurp. Surprisingly, dipping the noodles and slurping them up with the broth made my appetite soar. The broth had more of a spicy kick than sweetness, so mixing it with the raw egg provided a perfect balance of flavor. Overall, I found the dish to be a great value for money and highly satisfying. Additionally, the menu offered a variety of affordable and delicious side dishes, making it hard to choose just one. The playful and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant made it a great place to enjoy a solo dinner with a drink. It had been a while since the last visit after the price increase, but it was a great revisit. Even with an 80 yen increase, the fact that a large serving is free makes it a good deal at 580 yen. However, the soba noodles were not to my taste at all - I found both the noodles and the broth to be unappetizing. It felt like they just used supermarket noodles with broth poured over them. I won't be ordering the soba again, but I'm interested in trying the pork cutlet bowl for lunch on Fridays, as it seems like a good deal.

A few times a year, I have drinking parties with my former boss. I had been wanting to meet up with him before the end of last year, but due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, we couldn't find a good time to meet. Now that the new year has started, I have been keeping an eye on the COVID-19 situation to finally plan a get-together. We finally found a good time to meet, so we searched for a restaurant and decided to try a "choi-nomi" set for the first time. The set came with two drinks and each of the appetizers was delicious and perfect with alcohol. We also ordered some dried squid and Imabari yakitori, and finished with chicken chow mein and chicken tempura soba. It was our first time at this restaurant, but the food was so delicious that I would love to go back again if I have the chance. (It was quite a challenge to find the restaurant in the building, though, haha)

It hurts...the 80 yen price increase hurts. Everywhere is using the excuse of rising raw material prices, so there's no helping it. I tried the Taiwan maze soba for the first time. I had to pay an extra 80 yen because it was free with the point card service. Thankfully, the free extra-large portion on Fridays continues. With the extra rice that came with the soba, I was full. It was different from what I imagined, but it was quite delicious. Surprisingly, it was spicy, making me sweat under my nose. It's not extremely spicy. Since the one-coin lunch with free extra-large portion of katsudon on Fridays has ended, I'm undecided, but I will visit again.

The regular one-coin lunch every Friday includes a free large serving of katsu-don. I can't find this deal anywhere else! As long as I don't get tired of it, I'll be coming here every Friday. However, when I went for the first time this year, they gave me a regular size instead of the large serving, so it ended up being too soupy and messy! I almost wanted to ask for extra lotus roots. It was quite crowded because it was the beginning of the year, so I guess it can't be helped, but next time I'll make sure to emphasize that I want the large serving!

All-you-can-drink for 1,480 yen with hitsumabushi nori rolls, potato tempura with salted spicy cod roe, sukiyaki tempura, etc... There are many tempting menu items. The server, who is from Kansai, will confirm if you want a "nama" (draft) beer, right? If you order a "nama" beer, they will correct it to "nama chuu" because it's not a common term in Hokkaido. They will bring you the beer saying, "Here is your beer." It was a fun time until just before the last train at 8:00 pm~

The first visit of the new year for the weekly Friday one-coin lunch special with free large serving of katsudon. I thought this place was the best, but did they forget the large serving? It seemed like they just added extra soup to a regular serving of rice! And to make it worse, the katsu was cold... This was a first for me, and I was a little disappointed at the start of the new year! I wonder what happened? This time, the rating will drop a bit. Sweat!

I prefer less sauce, but the soba was a nice bonus. The counter was empty before 12:00, so I was able to order quickly. The total came to 880 yen, with 800 yen covered by the shop card. The menu seems to have improved since last time? I heard there's a good selection of small dishes here. With "soba" in the name, I feel like I have to order soba. There are a few customers scattered around, including some solo female diners at the counter. It's quite lively here. Let's start with some drinks. I ordered the "Small Drink Set" for 1200 yen, which includes 5 appetizers and 2 drinks. First up, beer! Edamame as a snack. Then, the 5 appetizers arrive: roasted beef, sliced herring, pork (I think), salted fish eggs, cream cheese, tuna sashimi with cucumber, and soba miso. A nice variety of 5 dishes! They all taste great and go well with drinks. I couldn't ask for better snacks for my drinks. I had another lemon sour! Next, I had the "kake soba" for 500 yen. The soba noodles were the same quality as last time. Since this place serves tempura, I wish they served tenkasu instead of fried tempura bits. A great place to enjoy appetizers. I came for lunch using a somewhat difficult-to-use coupon. I need to use it little by little to reduce it. This set for 750 yen is quite a good deal! The beef bowl was delicious and the soba had a decent amount (although I was confused that it was not the type with cold soba soaking in it!). The interior has a casual izakaya feel with wooden chairs, counters, and tables. The nori tempura with tuna and green onions was very crispy and the combination was exquisite. It was so crispy and creamy that it disappeared from my mouth in no time. I wanted to eat more.
