Ski resort restaurants always make me want to taste a little bit. This is Canmore Ski Village in Higashikawa. I decided to try the ramen. I ordered the "Student Ramen" since my high school friend was with me. I'm not sure how it differs from other ramen, but the soup tastes like Asahikawa ramen and is delicious. The portion of noodles seems generous and the chashu is a simple yet good single slice of pork belly. Next, I tried the "Young Set". It includes a meat bun, fried chicken, and potatoes, which are considered as the top 3 foods for young people. The meat bun is the "Imuraya Gold" brand, so it's reliable. The quality of the potatoes can vary, but here they are delicious. The fried chicken also has a strong flavor and is good. Now, time to refuel and hit the slopes again! But I just found out they are famous for their "Zangi Don" here...

Kids set available for high school students and below is a great deal! For only 500 yen, you get a set of nikuman (steamed meat bun), potatoes, and zangi (deep-fried chicken). Kids will be happy eating it (*´∇｀*), and adults will be happy with the wallet-friendly price. Highly recommended!

Shrimp fry curry, in terms of cost performance, I think pork cutlet curry is better.

The restaurant at the ski resort serves authentic curry rice that is spicy and filled with plenty of meat. The zangi is very juicy and the seasoning of the chicken is excellent.

Do not underestimate the miso ramen. It is an authentic Asahikawa ramen. The katsu curry was also delicious. Next, I think I'll try the famous zangi donburi.

When it comes to food at ski resorts, my expectations are usually low. However, this place was different. As a big fan of skiing and fried chicken, I decided to order what seemed to be a prize-winning zangi donburi. It was huge and made a great impression. The sweet sauce and mayonnaise were a perfect match, and it was delicious. The zangi was so big and filling that I didn't even need the rice. I envy the locals who get to enjoy this zangi donburi in Canmore. It's seriously delicious.
