I was curious about the walnut bread! It was featured on TV and I thought it was unusual that walnuts were not kneaded into the dough but generously filled inside like a filling. I immediately made a reservation. Walnut bread is only available for pre-order, so reservations are essential if you want to eat it. It's a happy bread for walnut lovers like me! I also bought melon bread and salt bread on a whim.

Sugiura Bakery in Ebetsu City, Hokkaido, is a shop where you can enjoy new wheat bread made with the abundant Haruyutaka wheat from Hokkaido. They offer rice chiffon cake, marble banana cake which is quite large and fluffy, with a satisfying texture. Their milk cream bread has a rich custard cream filling, while their salt bread is simple yet delicious, with a generous amount of salt inside.

This is Sugihara Bakery Maruyama store! They were temporarily closed before, but I gave it another try in the evening on this day! When I opened the heavy broken door, there were still some bread left! The main character, chiffon cake, varies greatly depending on the type, maybe because of different numbers of each type? Anyway, I chose the rice chiffon cake (¥346) and the custard melon bread (¥194) from the bread section. I was also interested in the soft serve ice cream, but maybe next time. So, I will take them home!

I had some time before my regular check-up at a nearby hospital, so I decided to visit this bakery. The door is quite heavy, so be careful not to pinch your fingers. The interior is new and clean, but a bit small. The cash register is at the back, so if there's a customer in front of you, you'll have to wait to see the bread. However, the staff is very friendly and even allowed me to take photos. The bread all looked delicious, although the prices were a bit high. I bought six items and they were all fluffy and tasty. They use wheat flour mainly from Hokkaido, but I wonder if it's not 100%? This bakery is Sugiura Bakery, with its main store in Bibai. I'll have to visit the main store next time. Thank you, Enzan store!

I wanted to have lunch in Maruyama, but my plans unexpectedly dragged on... Then I remembered there was a Sugiura Bakery nearby, so I decided to visit. It was my first time visiting the Maruyama branch! - "Mottainai Scone" (70 yen): This had caught my eye for a while! It seemed like an outlet scone, but there was nothing to be concerned about. The regular price for 2 scones was 216 yen, so it seems quite affordable at around 30 yen per piece. I chose the one with chocolate chips inside. When I tried it, it felt more like milk bread than a scone. It seems like it would go well with milk rather than coffee or tea. Personally, I prefer scones that are a bit firmer. - "Milk Cream Pan" (216 yen): It had a traditional cream pan feel, so I thought it was a bit pricey... but it had a very gentle taste, and I think I might end up buying it again when I happen to pass by. It was delicious! - "Rice Bread - Mountain-shaped Shokupan" (216 yen): At first glance, it looked like a mini loaf of about 10 cm square. I chose the simplest one out of the three types available. It had a gentle sweetness and a moist texture, and I preferred warming it up in the microwave rather than toasting it. I generally like wheat bread, but rice bread is good once in a while. - "Salt Bread" (130 yen): I bought this because it's the most popular item. The saltiness, butter, and elasticity were all quite subtle and had a very modest taste. It's recommended for those who like gentle flavors. Personally, I still think Sugiura Bakery is more about chiffon cakes than bread.

On my day off, I first went to a crowded restaurant for lunch and had to give up. I remembered this place and decided to change my lunch to bread instead. When I arrived at the bakery, two ladies in front of me were buying soft-serve ice cream. The bakery had a face-to-face selling method for bread, with the bread displayed in a showcase. While the staff was making the soft-serve ice cream, I leisurely looked at the showcase and carefully chose and purchased some delicious-looking bread. The cream cheese bread had a chewy texture with smooth cream cheese inside, which was rich and slightly tangy, making it delicious. The custard melon bread had a fluffy soft dough with a crispy cookie dough on top, filled with plenty of custard cream. The sugar-coated cookie dough and custard inside made it surprisingly not too sweet, so I didn't get tired of it. The red bean bun had smooth red bean paste inside, with a hint of sweetness and a nostalgic touch, complemented by the fragrant sesame seeds on top. All of them were consistently delicious, making me want to try other bread varieties as well. Next time, I might try the soft-serve ice cream or visit the main store in Bibai. Thank you for the meal!

Tsugiura Bakery, whose main store is located in the city of Bibai, which used to be a coal mining town. They use local Hokkaido products in their bread, such as rice bread. A few years ago, they opened a store in Daimaru Sapporo. Initially, they participated in events, but due to their popularity, they eventually became an official tenant. In August 2018, they opened their Yen Yama store. The interior of the store is compact, with a spacious area in the back for bread making equipment. The prices of the bread are surprisingly reasonable for the Yen Yama area. During a visit with a friend, we bought three types of bread including a whole loaf of plain bread. At the counter, I was surprised to see a Carpigiani soft serve machine, which is a rare find in Sapporo. The soft serve offered was a unique corn flavor, served in a rare cone. The soft serve was smooth and creamy, with a hint of mascarpone cheese flavor. The cone was a small size, and the whole experience was delightful. This Carpigiani soft serve machine is known for its high performance and smooth texture, making it a favorite among soft serve enthusiasts.

On a certain holiday, I walked around after getting off at Teine Station and stopped by a newly opened branch of a bakery that I heard was originally in Bibai, located in Maruyama. There didn't seem to be a parking lot. The store is located on the first floor of a building in a quiet area off the main street in Maruyama, and although compact, it has a baking area at the back and a refrigerated showcase displaying their signature chiffon cakes and a variety of bread. I chose a few items that caught my eye from the menu that day. Oh! I spotted a soft-serve ice cream machine! I couldn't resist ordering one. Oh, the complimentary ice pack for the chiffon cake was much appreciated. The "Soft-Serve Ice Cream (250 yen)" in a cone was slightly off-white in color and had less swirl than expected, which was a bit disappointing. The softness, which was easily overcome by gravity, was a distinctive feature. After taking a bite... Hmm, I couldn't quite figure out the benefit of the mascarpone, but I could tell that the taste was a bit different from other soft-serve ice creams. Maybe the machine wasn't working properly that day? The ice cream seemed a bit richer than usual. The "Red Bean Butter Bread (248 yen)" was probably something I had tried before somewhere. It had a nice balance between the thick salty butter and the grainy red bean inside a slightly crispy French bread. The "Rice Chiffon Cake with Strawberry Marble (279 yen)" was moist and softer than an earlobe, with a surprisingly light sweetness. I couldn't quite grasp the benefit of using rice, but the strawberry marble added a nice touch to the cake. The bakery is quietly tucked away in a serene location in Maruyama, offering a wide variety of bread. Thank you for the meal.

Rice flour chiffon cake is delicious. It's chewy and moist, not too sweet, just right. I like plain the best, but there are also various other flavors. Also, the salt bread was crispy and delicious. It's nice that it's discounted when the expiration date is near.

Welcome. ---------- September 2018 ---------- Maruyama Area This place has changed a lot, but this time it's a bakery famous for Bibai, |o| °д°)ノ|Yu-Gachon It is said to have opened on August 3, and it is small with a workshop in the back. There is an eat-in area and they offer soft serve ice cream. When I asked for it, they said it was a "flavor with vanilla and mascarpone cheese mixed in." It's a cheese soft serve with the flavor of vanilla and the sweetness of mascarpone cheese. It's a trendy combination of flavors. The bacon and egg-shaped soft serve has a perfect combination of bacon and a subtle half-cooked texture. It could use more mayo. The bread is made with traditional methods, which is a shame. The scone with chocolate flavor is irresistible for scone lovers. The milk rusks with three flavors are crunchy and perfect for a sugar boost. The classic melon bread is good, and the sugar-coated crispy cookie dough and fluffy bread dough are excellent. The ingredients in the sandwich bread are all homemade. I should have also tried the "cheese hamburger." Thank you for the meal.

I also bought a chiffon cake, but I came here more for the rice flour bread. I knew about the opening information and was planning to go there eventually, so I bought it as a companion for my outing. I bought the Hokkaido rice chiffon cake with yuzu lemon flavor. It was moist, soft, fluffy, and smooth with a fine texture, and it was really delicious. The refreshing taste of yuzu lemon added a nice touch to it. As for the rice flour bread, they were all chewy, moist, and had a dense and delicious texture, but I felt that there was a strange oil flavor in all of them. Maybe it's old rice flour? Hmm, it just doesn't seem to fit well... When I eat the walnut cheese cream or cheese cream with the rice flour bread, I think it tastes delicious, but when I eat just the rice flour bread, something bothers me. It seems like the excitement I felt when I ate at the main store has faded... The coarse ground tomato wheat bread with Vienna sausage had a good texture and a nice flavor combination of meat umami and wheat flour dough. The cheese baguette had a strong aroma, but it was a bit hard and lacked the desired chewiness. The whole apple wheat bread seemed to be delicious... I didn't even get a bite (bitter smile). I was able to buy some items at a discounted price in the corner, and although I ate them right away, the taste seemed to have diminished. The rice chiffon cake and rice bread both use rice flour from Bibai, Hokkaido, and mainly use wheat flour from Hokkaido, so I plan to buy and try them again as they are available nearby. Overall rating 3.1, Taste 3.0, Service 3.3, Ambience 3.5, Cost performance 3.3, Drinks not rated. Location: Sugiura Bakery, Maruyama Store, 1F Enzan Ark Building, 26-1-18 Odori Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Next time preview: I'm curious to try the hot coffee for 150 yen, which is quite reasonable, so I'm thinking of trying it with bread. Since the eat-in area doesn't seem very cozy, I'm considering taking it out and enjoying it elsewhere.

I stopped by Sugiura Bakery on the way to pick up my mother. I had only bought their products at Daimaru or Odori before, so this was my first time visiting their standalone store in Sapporo. It must be tough competing in the crowded bakery scene in Maruyama! Here are my thoughts on the items I tried: - Chiffon Cake (Plain): Moist and fluffy with a gentle sweetness. Chiffon cakes are always delicious! - Chiffon Cake (Marble): Cocoa-flavored marble cake with a hint of chocolate. Very tasty. - Milk France: Creamy milk cream with a mild sweetness. A bit more sweetness and a denser cream might be even better. The bread could be either chewier or fluffier. - Rice Flour Croissant: A cute bite-sized croissant with a light buttery flavor and a subtle sweetness. It feels more like a healthy rice flour butter bread than a croissant. - Hamburger: Soft and lightly flavored, easy to eat. - Frankfurter: Not very flavorful on its own, but the ketchup adds some taste. The texture was crispy and enjoyable. - Bonus: Got a walnut scone as a gift, which was a nice surprise! - Soft Serve Ice Cream: I tried the mascarpone soft serve, which had a rich vanilla flavor and was quite sweet. I prefer a more milky taste, so it was a bit too intense for me. The mascarpone flavor was subtle. Perhaps due to the rice flour used, it had a gentle taste that felt easy on the stomach. Chiffon cake is a must-try!

I take a walk around Maruyama Park and stumble upon a new shop! It's "Sugiura Bakery," famous for their chiffon cakes from Bibai. I am greeted by a lovely smiling lady saying "Welcome!" Inside the shop, I explore the shelves lined with a variety of chiffon cakes. There is also a cafe corner for dining in. In the glass case, the bread looks inviting. I try the Raisin Walnut Bread for 175 yen, Salt Bread, and Milk France for 189 yen each. The Raisin Walnut Bread is nicely baked, with a soft crust and moist crumb, and just the right amount of walnuts and raisins. The Salt Bread is fluffy, moist, and slightly buttery, with a hint of salt on top. The Milk France is a cream-filled French bread with a balanced sweetness. It may be good for everyday consumption, but the cost performance may not be the best.

The Hokkaido product exhibition is always popular. Since I left Hokkaido, there are now many shops that I am not familiar with. I couldn't find the bread I was looking for at DAPAS, so I felt a little unsatisfied and decided to come here. This is a popular bakery in Bibai, but it seems that they have also opened a store in Sapporo. I was originally planning to write a review with photos from Bibai, but the producer is listed as being in Odori 26-chome, so I hurriedly changed it to here. They also sell rice flour chiffon cakes, but I decided to try their bread as I have been comparing different types recently. I tried their Haruyutaka bread (560 yen). When toasted, it had a light and crispy texture, with a dense and moist dough. The flavor of Haruyutaka was good, with a strong taste of wheat sweetness and aroma. Overall, it was just delicious.

I bought it at the Hokkaido Dosanko Plaza! On this day, I had zaru soba, okowa inari, and two bread for lunch! Carbohydrate festival!! This kind of meal is what makes me who I am now~ Good kids, please don't imitate me. I should have also visited the actual store of Sugihara Bakery, but I always pass by it. This time, I tried the Teriyaki Chicken Bread for 190 yen excluding tax. The flavor is quite strong, with the teriyaki chicken being the star. The bread dough is surprisingly firm, maybe it's necessary to support this chicken. I didn't need the bread, but the teriyaki chicken was delicious. Well, I would say it's just delicious in a normal way? I want to try different bread at the actual store. Thank you for the meal.
