At a night event in Lake Toya Onsen. The event went until 10 pm, and after cleaning up, I wanted to have beer and delicious food at a local izakaya. However, many shops in this hot spring town close early, so I always have trouble finding a place. I found this place open, but they were sold out of their signature dish, takoyaki. I looked at the blackboard and ordered the "Sohachi Karei." When it arrived, I was surprised! I had always thought Sohachi had little meat to eat, but it was big, thick, and delicious! I will come back here next year for the event! Thank you for the meal!
