It's a holiday in Shin-Sapporo... There are fewer unvisited shops around the station. I visited "Noka no Musuko okome" on B1F of Aeon Katopuri Shin-Sapporo. "Noka no Musuko" has been opening stores here and there recently and I'm starting to get tired of it. It was better when they were doing it in a small scale around the back street... I bought the "Colorful Healthy Bento @890". It includes grilled fish (salmon), roast chicken, pumpkin quiche, pork with ketchup, burdock and lotus root kinpira, fried chicken, white fish fry, simmered vegetables (carrots, burdock, taro), pickled radish, etc. The seasoning is light for all of them, and the Japanese and Western mixed side dishes use a balanced mix of "meat, fish, and vegetables", so the nutritional balance is not bad. I especially liked the pumpkin quiche. It's a bit pricey, but it's a bento with a lot of items, so I think the cost performance is reasonable. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

In Sapporo Sun Plaza, just before closing, I bought a discounted apple and spinach cake. It tasted like sweet corn soup. It was moist, dense, and interesting. I would like to try a different dish next time.

Today, I went to buy dinner for the first time at a new place in Sapporo, as per my wife's request. Before introducing the restaurant in the next review, I decided to start drinking a little early and bought some snacks. I found a delicious-looking egg dish by chance while walking in Dungeon B1. It was an egg dish with a rich broth, so I couldn't resist buying it. I also bought a meat-wrapped soft-boiled egg that was next to it. When I got home, I started drinking before my wife arrived and used these snacks as my appetizers. The egg dish was amazing! It wasn't too sweet, had a subtle flavor, and a gentle broth taste. It was probably the best egg dish I've ever had. The meat-wrapped soft-boiled egg was quite sweet, but when combined with the sauce, it tasted great. If the yolk was a bit softer, it would have been perfect. Overall, I was satisfied with the delicious food and I would love to try more dishes from this place in the future. I was impressed by how good the egg dish was. It was a delightful meal!

There are bento boxes and side dishes available. They also offer hors d'oeuvres during Christmas and New Year. The side dishes and bento boxes use seasonal vegetables, along with classic items like croquettes and pickles. I sometimes buy their fried chicken, but today's was very oily. They offer various sizes. The croquette with mashed potatoes and skin-on potatoes was surprising, but it tastes delicious in a croquette. When I bought it recently, the croquette had a long shape, which was easier to eat. The staff at this restaurant seem to change frequently.

I visited the restaurant "Okome" this time, which is located in Shin-Fukuya. I was really tempted by the meat-wrapped soft-boiled egg, but ended up purchasing the Agedashi Tofu (¥241) and the Ginger Pork Roll with Green Onion (¥172). The female staff members were very kind and even offered to give extra vegetables even if the portion was small. Now, let's move on to the tasting!
- Agedashi Tofu (¥241):
On top, there were lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, green chili peppers, and ginger. The Agedashi Tofu itself was lightly fried with a delicate coating, making it easy to eat. The seasoning was light, and the ginger flavor was not overpowering, resulting in a simple taste. The tofu inside was firm but not too hard, holding its shape well.
- Ginger Pork Roll with Green Onion (¥172):
Although it's described as "Ginger Pork," the ginger flavor was not very strong. The sauce had a good taste. There were some small green peppers on the side. The green onions were thick and crunchy, providing a nice texture. The meat was tender and wrapped around twice, approximately. This restaurant offers a variety of dishes, and I would love to try more of them if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

When I go out, I feel like I'm lacking vegetables. I bought pickles here, which were 20% off in the evening. Sour vegetables seem like they would help cleanse the body.

I was looking for some alcohol snacks at the food court. That's when I noticed the farm boy's meat-wrapped soft-boiled egg. The wonderful shine was quite stimulating? The delicious look of it captivated me instantly. It's simply boiled eggs wrapped in sweet and savory seasoned meat. It must be delicious just thinking about it! It's the perfect combination for old-school guys from the Showa era. It's definitely delicious. I felt bad only buying this, so I also bought a croquette. It had large ingredients and was delicious as well. Although I only bought these two items this time, other side dishes and bento boxes also seemed delicious.

2017/9 Suzuran Side Dish Set (Kitakitchen) 443 yen
This shop is located inside Kitapuri, a store affiliated with the Aeon group. However, for some reason, you can earn MI Card points here. It's like a diplomatic immunity from Marui's jurisdiction. It's strange, isn't it? Anyway, let's move on.
They sell bento boxes and deli items by weight. They offer fancy dishes that have been prepared with care, but they are a bit pricey. On this particular day, they were discounted in the late hours, so I decided to give it a try.
I bought a side dish set for snacking. It included curry-flavored chicken tempura, skewered pork belly cutlet-like item, and some unknown fried meat. The fried items were a bit stale, so they were just okay. The half-cooked seasoned egg was flavorful, and the potato salad was delicious. It seemed like there was something extra added to it, but I couldn't quite figure it out. Overall, the dishes were a bit mysterious.
Thanks for the meal!

Today in July 2017, I went to Shin Sapporo to get my son's glasses made. While my son was choosing his glasses, I wandered around the area and found a new store. I bought some miso-marinated pork skewers as a side dish from there. The pork skewer was quite large. After that, I went back to my son's place and it took about an hour for the glasses to be ready. We had a meal at a restaurant called "Fuga" around 7 pm. When we returned to the eyeglass shop, I was shocked to find out that all the side dishes from the store were now half price. The miso-marinated pork skewer had a thin and well-drained batter. The pork meat had a tender texture and the sweet miso marinade was delicious. However, there were a few too many tendons in the pork. Thank you for the meal. ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

▽Chicken Rice - 280 yen▽
Served in a long container, this dish features chicken and onions cooked in Kyushu soy sauce. The slightly sweet flavor, along with the perfect texture and umami of the chicken, makes this chicken rice quite delicious.
▼Impressions▼
This shop, mainly found in Marui Imai department stores, focuses on safe and reliable food by using Hokkaido ingredients and avoiding chemical seasonings. Okome, which opened alongside Kita Kitchen in April 2017, is a branch of this concept. I tried the chicken rice in a small container this time, just to see how it was. The dish had a Kyushu soy sauce flavor, similar to kashiwa meshi, with a surprisingly rich chicken taste. Although the portion was small for a meal, it was quite delicious. It was my first purchase from this chain, and I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

In June, on the second Sunday, the shopping continues in Shin-Sapporo. This time, I decided to try out the takeout options at a place called "Nouka no Musuko okome," which is a part of the same establishment as the previously reviewed "Kita Kitchen." I ended up buying two items - the "Miso Koji Pork Skewer Cutlet" for 195 yen and the "Niseko-grown Menkui Potato Potato Salad Croquette" for 150 yen. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes, which led me to purchase both. Later on, when I tried the dishes at home, I found the skewer cutlet to be juicy and flavorful, while the potato croquette had a rich potato flavor with a creamy texture. Even though they were cold by the time I ate them, they still tasted delicious and made for great additions to my lunchbox. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the food and would definitely consider visiting this place again for their variety of prepared dishes.

[Takeout] Located at the underground floor of AEON Katapuri Shin Sapporo, which is directly connected to JR Shin-Sapporo Station and Subway Tozai Line Shin-Sapporo Station, a tenant that resembles a Hokkaido local products exhibition opened on April 21st. The shop is located right after entering from Sunpiazza Center Mall.
Visited for the first time on May 7th, after over two weeks since the opening. Surprisingly, I managed to finish work early and arrived at Shin-Sapporo while the shop was still open. This shop is located inside Kitakitchen, making it a bit confusing. I bought some side dishes as snacks: Chicken rice for 380 yen, which had plenty of chicken thigh meat mixed in, and the rice itself was flavorful with the taste of chicken. The portion was more like a snack. The other item I bought was the Hokkaido-produced plenty-of-ingredients okara for 250 yen. It was rich in chicken flavor and slightly salty, with a slightly watery texture. The ingredients included chicken breast meat, carrots, dried shiitake mushrooms, burdock, and green onions. The service here was better than the staff at Kitakitchen. I will definitely come back again.

Located on the basement floor of KATEPRI, this takeout shop specializes in vegetable-based side dishes. Today, I tried the Tanuki Rice and Kitsune Katsu Bento. The Tanuki Rice is mixed with tempura flakes seasoned with nori and men-tsuyu, creating an interesting flavor. The Kitsune Katsu features minced meat inside fried tofu, offering a refreshing yet satisfying taste. The side dishes of simmered okara and sweet and savory stir-fried root vegetables highlight the natural flavors of satsumaimo and lotus root. There are various other vegetable-based side dishes available, all offering flavors worth the price. Thank you for the delicious meal! (*´ー`*)
