The final ramen of the day was at Mutsuhiro Sakai Higashi "Chuka Soba Mutsuhiro Sakai Higashi Store". It was a ramen shop located in Sakai East that is still open for business despite the pandemic, supporting local shops in Sakai City. I had the "Chicken Flavored Ramen" with a seasoned egg topping. I chose soy sauce flavor. This "Chuka Soba Mutsuhiro" is a ramen shop with its main store in Tokyo, Kokubunji. There used to be a shop in Fukushima, Osaka, but it seems to have closed down. The "Chicken Ramen" has a soup base made from chicken bones mixed with soy sauce seasoning. The noodles are medium thickness flat noodles. On top of the noodles, there was a slice of pork loin, a slice of chicken chashu, menma, a seasoned egg topping, a sheet of seaweed, and mitsuba on top of the chashu. Additionally, finely chopped white leeks were floating on the surface of the soup. It had been a while since I last had the "Chicken Ramen", and it was still really good. The completion level is high. And, ginger goes well with the soy sauce of this chicken ramen (if you ask the staff, they will bring it out for you right away). I added the grated ginger when I was about halfway through, and I ended up finishing the soup without leaving a drop. The Chicken Flavored Ramen was so delicious~~~

The other day, I was craving cold boiled anchovies so much. Today, I looked at the ticket machine and saw a limited edition anchovy dipping noodles! I hurriedly bought the ticket without knowing how to do it, and said "this!" to the staff. Of course, I got the large size! The clear dipping sauce with green onions and yuzu floating in it, and the shiny thin noodles. It looked delicious even just by looking at it! And of course, it was delicious!! I finished it in silence in 5 minutes. The master said, "Would you like to have it with soup refilled or with rice added?" What a delightful remark. I chose to have it with rice added! Ah, I am so happy. I will definitely come back with my son. Thank you for the meal~

I came here aiming for the limited edition tsukemen, but it was sold out. So, I had the boiled sardine ramen instead. I had a bit of onion beforehand, but the deliciousness of the broth is still top-notch as always. I chewed on the thick noodles, slurped them up, and finished my meal. My stomach is full now, so I'm heading home. (2023/09/18 update) 159 bowls [ramen: 115, tsukemen: 34, others: 10].

It was a delight to be able to taste Mutahiro's flavor in Osaka after a long time. I thought I could enjoy both the dried fish soba from the first store and the chicken soba from the second store, but this time I had the chicken soba. The soup and noodles were just as delicious as the ones from the second store. However, the chashu was a bit dry compared to the moist and rare chashu from the second store. Nevertheless, it was a satisfying bowl of noodles.

Today is the first day of September, but the highest temperature is 35 degrees... My son had dried fish ramen at Mutahiro on his way home from school yesterday and came back satisfied. Since then, I've been craving dried fish too! I arrived at the restaurant at 1 PM on Friday. Surprisingly, there were only two people inside. Without looking at the limited menu at the entrance, I ordered the usual special dried fish ramen. Later, I realized that there was a limited edition cold ramen available!!! (◎_◎;) Oh no... But I will come back again. Next time, I will try the limited edition cold ramen. The cold dried fish ramen at Kagari in Ginza was also delicious, so I have high expectations ❤︎

I stopped by on my way back from a business networking event as usual. I ordered the dipping ramen for the first time. The restaurant was crowded, so I had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. I noticed that there were only 2 staff members in the kitchen now, down from 3 two months ago. The dipping noodles arrived in about 7 minutes. The noodles were thin, and the dipping sauce had a sour soy sauce flavor. It felt like eating cold noodles dipped in soup. It might be good for the summer, but personally, it wasn't to my liking. I had finished everything I needed to do in Osaka to avoid future business trips, so I wonder when I'll be able to visit again. It left me with a sense of regret. I will definitely come back.

Dadaro's Mazed Soba with Ajitama Topping G-style, what is G-style? I thought, but I found the perfect noodles to get through this summer! The presentation of moyashi with an imposing presence and the addition of back fat garlic! A sprinkle of shichimi adds color and stimulates the appetite! The noodles have a unique springy and curly texture, and I think these noodles are the best match for Dadaro. Before mixing, I take a bite of the noodles with the sauce alone, and this is a great choice! The balance between the punch of garlic and the richness of the back fat is excellent. I feel an urge to mix it quickly. As soon as I mix it, the flavor spreads. The balance between moyashi, noodles, and chashu looks like a perfect 1:1:1, and the delicious lunch is anticipated. Without hesitation, I take a mouthful of noodles and it's so delicious, it's been a while since I had such a tasty mazed soba! And it has its own uniqueness! I think it would be even better with toppings like negi or menma. The noodles' chewy texture and the crunchy texture of moyashi combined with the rich broth are at their peak. Halfway through, I add the ajitama and shichimi, and the sweetness and spiciness match perfectly. It was over in no time, and I was impressed by the discovery of a new Mutahiro noodle. It was too hot, so I ordered the limited cold ramen with a strong flavor of onion and chicken, making it easy to eat. The taste is addictive. The chashu rice bowl was consistently delicious. Everything at Mutahiro is always so tasty that I always struggle with what to order. I will definitely go back!

The inside of the restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and the service is polite. We dropped by this place for a post-yakiniku meal, and were pleasantly surprised by the seafood-based soup. It was light yet flavorful, with a rich umami taste. The soft-boiled egg and chashu matched the soup perfectly, making the meal very delicious. This is definitely a place we would like to visit again.

Sakai Higashi Station nearby popular ramen shop! Chuka Soba Mutahiro-san. When I entered, the first thing I had to decide was whether to go for chicken ramen or dried fish ramen. After some thought, I chose chicken ramen and then had to choose between salt or soy sauce broth! When I asked the staff for a recommendation, they suggested soy sauce, so I went with that. I ordered the special with all the toppings. The soup was light but had a good depth of flavor, and the thin noodles were slurp-worthy. The menma was incredibly delicious. I was dining alone that day, but I noticed a sign outside saying that children's ramen was free! The condiments included dried fish vinegar, pepper, yuzu pepper, ginger, ramen sauce, and chili. I really liked the dried fish vinegar! It's one of the best ramen I've had recently. I arrived around 12:00 on a weekday and was seated right away, but by the time I finished eating, there were 3 groups waiting. Address: 2-3-18 Nakagawara-cho, Sakai-ku, Sakai City, Osaka. During the three-day weekend, it was scorching hot. It was tough to line up under the blazing sun, so I arrived before the opening time of 11:30 am. Five minutes before opening, there were already more than 10 people waiting. It had been a while since I visited with my son, and we saw a new menu item called "Chilled Salted Chicken Soba." It looked delicious, but as a big fan of dried fish, I opted for the Niboshi Ramen! Surprisingly, my son also chose the dried fish broth. It seems like he's also getting hooked on dried fish lately. I tried the limited menu item, cold chicken and salt ramen with onions for the first time. It was a hot day with a break in the rainy season, and about half of the customers around me were also eating the same dish. First of all, the sweetness of the onions was amazing! However, the soup had a strong salty flavor, and the overall taste was not too sweet. It was slightly saltier than the regular chicken salt ramen, but it seemed like they had considered the ice melting. On hot summer days when you don't want to sweat after eating, this is the only choice! I would like to revisit during the summer. Thank you for the meal!

I finally tried the awaited chicken ramen! It was delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly. The location is a bit hard to find though, as it's tucked away in the back and the restaurant sign is not visible from the main street. I had to go back and forth a few times before I found it.

Visited "Chuka Soba Mutahiro Osaka Sakai Higashi Branch" in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. Located in a narrow alley on the left side after crossing the road from Sakai Higashi Station West Exit on the Nankai Koya Line. Around the station, nearby coin parking costs around 400-600 yen for 50 minutes. Visited close to closing time on a Saturday at 9:30 PM, with a queue of 3 people outside. Waited for about 5 minutes before entering and selected the "Special Niboshi Ramen" for 1,050 yen from the ticket machine. If you have a child up to first grade, they can have a free children's ramen, which is a generous service. The bright interior has an L-shaped counter with 10 seats and one 4-person table, with colorful lanterns hanging. Each person has their own self-serve water pot on the table, and the service is brisk and polite. The condiments on the table include vinegar, black pepper, shichimi, and ramen sauce. If you ask, they will provide ginger and yuzu pepper for chicken ramen. The soup has a bold bitterness from the niboshi and a subtle acidity, possibly from the chicken broth. The back fat adds a refreshing touch without being too greasy, resulting in a refreshing soup overall. The thick curly noodles have a firm chewiness and a smooth wheat flavor. The unexpected ingredient of a wonton (Ittan Momen) without filling adds a playful touch to the dish, with a cute mascot wearing a straw hat on the sign. I always come here for a meal after my business trips to Osaka. I arrived around 8 pm and the place was quite busy. I was able to find a seat at the counter and bought a food ticket. There were three staff members working this time, compared to the previous two. I chose the refreshing soy sauce chicken ramen this time. The thin noodles were light but flavorful. The chashu (roast pork) was also delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

What is this!? Limited menu and all... I thought, so today I went to Mutahiro in Sakai Higashi \(=^‥^)/'`Let's go.。.:*☆ The restaurant had some empty seats, lucky me! There was a limited item on the ticket machine - salted fish broth tsukemen. I pushed the button as instructed and handed over my ticket, mentioning the limited item, and sat at the counter. The tsukemen arrived - with thin, straight noodles, finely chopped bamboo shoots, and roasted pork slices, looking fantastic. Topped with a seasoned egg, green onions, and a lovely broth, it shone like gold. The fish broth was rich and flavorful! I tried the noodles - they were firm and had a nice wheaty flavor, truly top-notch. Then I dipped them in the broth - a perfect balance of saltiness and fishiness, with a hint of chicken oil. The yuzu aroma followed by a citrusy bitterness was intriguing - a unique taste that grows on you. As I continued eating, the combination of the broth and noodles was irresistible - a truly addictive tsukemen! And let's not forget the toppings - the flavorful roasted pork and the accentuating bamboo shoots really elevated the dish. I usually go for the soy sauce chicken, but this time I decided to try the dried fish version. I bought my meal ticket and sat at the counter, where a cheerful staff member wearing a straw hat and overalls greeted me. I watched closely as my meal was prepared right in front of me, and it was ready in just 5 minutes. Before serving, the staff member offered me a boiled egg as a bonus, saying "Is a whole egg okay? It's a bit cracked." This was a nice touch. The soup looked thick, but it was actually light and flavorful. The crunchy onions added a nice texture to each bite. The noodles were flat and slightly wavy, and they soaked up the delicious soup well. I used to come here after drinking on business trips, and I will definitely be back again. Thank you for the meal.
