I tried the Zangi and prosciutto Caesar salad as part of the Happy Hour deal. They were delicious. I had four non-alcoholic cocktails and one original cocktail. I mentioned that I'm not good with bitter or carbonated drinks and left it to the bartender's choice, but they were all really delicious and beautifully presented. I was amazed at how delicious the drinks were and felt like crying. Even a week later, I can't forget the experience and find myself reminiscing while looking at the photos. I'm glad my first bar experience was at this place. I felt safe enjoying drinks alone, and both the original cocktail and non-alcoholic cocktails were fantastic. The bartender was polite but created an atmosphere that didn't make me feel nervous, allowing me to relax and reflect on my trip. I learned that they have hundreds of non-alcoholic cocktails alone, and this place has left a lasting impression as a must-visit spot when in Sapporo.

40th Anniversary Cocktail ~Brilliant Story~ Strawberry and Bergamot Cocktail Kiwi Fruit Wine Spritzer I stayed at the Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo and visited the main bar. The ceiling with arches, which is also the namesake of the bar, was absolutely lovely. The classic yet not too heavy atmosphere, complemented by the sturdy chairs and tables, was delightful. The seasonal fruit cocktails were delicious. I enjoyed myself fully without having to venture out to the bustling streets. On the Saturday night I visited, there were just enough customers to create a cozy and pleasant ambiance.

I went to the BAR on the first floor of Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo, where they offer a set of adult Shimaneaga hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. I made a reservation, so there were hardly any other customers. You can choose your cocktail, so I went with the Sweet one. The plate and cocktails were so cute that I almost felt bad eating them. The Sweet cocktail was a frozen cocktail with chocolate and whiskey base, very easy to drink. The hors d'oeuvres were also cute and delicious, with vegetables shaped like snowflakes. I don't usually go to bars, so I was a little nervous.

Hello, it's a leisurely drinker. Today, I finally visited Cross Vault, a place I've been wanting to go to for a while. I was captivated by the unique entrance that felt like something out of a Wonderland. The interior is spacious, relaxing, and mysterious. It doesn't feel like a hotel inside at all. I've been wanting to come here for a while, but the free time plan only allows entry from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, which made it difficult to visit. I enjoy drinking, so this plan is perfect for me. I was worried that they might not have classic cocktails like Martinis or Sidecars, but luckily they did. I felt like I was looking into a mirror when I sat at the counter, the reflection was so clear. The drinks were great, especially the Gin and Tonic with a citrus aroma that was delightful. The Dry Martini was surprisingly delicious, and I even asked for a refill. The Bombay Sapphire was prepared by gradually raising the temperature with a stir, and it was a fascinating experience. The Sidecar made by a young bartender who recently passed their exam was decent, and I look forward to seeing them improve. It's surprisingly not too crowded during the early hours, so you can relax and enjoy your drinks at your own pace.

After dining at the restaurant on the hill, we were taken to this fantastic bar. It has a cave-like atmosphere with luxurious sofas and tables. The age group is on the older side, but surprisingly lively and comfortable. I felt like having some snacks, but the food was quite substantial, so I had to give up. They served pasta-like sweets, which I enjoyed crunching on. By the way, when I finished everything, they offered a refill. My husband always orders a Margarita when we come to a bar. I opted for the monthly cocktail, which was a Dekopon Mimosa and another one. I had two of them. They were easy to drink and delicious, especially the citrus-based cocktails. As someone who is still learning about bars and alcohol, all I can say is that the service was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the drinks were delicious! Main bar at Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo. The long and wide counter is quite nice, and the atmosphere at any seat indoors is good. Ordered a plate of blue cheese and Genghis Khan sandwich. The plate of cheese was quite generous and the Genghis Khan sandwich was delicious. The sandwich has a taste that becomes addictive, making you crave it when you remember it. A perfect bar for those who want to enjoy a relaxing and lovely evening with unique Genghis Khan sandwiches paired with whiskey.

I went to the main bar at Keio Plaza Hotel! The meaning of Cross Vault, intersecting circular ceiling. Since there were no reviews for the hotel I was staying at in Sapporo, I thought, why not visit the bar? The manager is a cool handsome man! The bartender who served us was a young man. We sat at the counter with a wine-red sofa behind us. There were lots of drinks inside the counter! I never know what to order in these situations. So I usually just go with, surprise me! Or something that looks good for Instagram! But look at this pink one, isn't it lovely? I don't even know the name... well, let's go with three different cocktails! The manager lit it up with a light! Wow, it's so beautiful! I'm super excited! We also got a dried fruit platter. The Blue Hawaii came with mixed nuts! There was a table charge of 700 yen. For the second drink, I showed a picture from a few years ago on Tabelog and asked them to make something similar! I don't know if it tastes the same, but I can't handle strong alcohol, so make it Cinderella-friendly like a soft drink! It was delicious and made me happy! It was a wonderful night! In March 2017, the main bar on the first floor of Keio Plaza Sapporo. The hotel is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and this bar is also celebrating its 35th anniversary. I have been using it for a long time. The heavy and elegant reddish-brown counter seat is beautifully polished, radiating the same shine every time I visit. The chairs are also spacious and comfortable. The service is polite and attentive, but not overly formal, with just the right amount of distance. I started with a beer. Since there were only a few bottles left of the whiskey I usually keep, I tried the "Glenfiddich 18 years" which was part of the whiskey fair. The round ice cube in the dimmed lighting, combined with the shine of the counter, looked very beautiful. I also ordered a mixed plate of appetizers. It was beautifully presented with edible flowers. When I finished eating, a clock tower appeared on the plate, which may be a nice touch for tourists. I had a very enjoyable time today as well. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This is a bar located in the Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. The entrance is close to the back door of the hotel, so some people may not notice it. I decided to treat myself to a luxurious evening drink at the hotel lounge after work. As expected from a hotel bar, the dim lighting and luxurious space allowed me to enjoy my drink in a calm atmosphere. They offer a Happy Choice Plan for guests who enter by 7:00 PM, which includes 120 minutes of free drinks and a choice of two dishes from the monthly menu. The drinks are made by the skilled bartenders, not like the typical drinks at izakayas. On this day, my friend and I enjoyed four different appetizers along with several drinks such as draft beer, dry vermouth, and Scotch whiskey, leaving the place with a pleasant buzz.

After drinking in Susukino and feeling a bit unsatisfied, I decided to stop by this place before heading back to my room. The long counter and the calming lighting inside created an adult atmosphere. When I looked at the menu, I was surprised to see they had Yamazaki 18 years! And the price was just a little over 3,000 yen. Quite reasonable for a hotel bar. I ordered it without hesitation, and it was delicious. I even had another glass. The service was great in this kind of establishment, and I enjoyed my tasty drinks in the pleasant ambiance.

I peeked into this place and saw that there were seats available at the counter. So, almost a year later, I revisited (surprised)… This time, I was upgraded to a better room (for free, happy), so the notice for the "Guests Only All-You-Can-Drink Plan" was not placed in the room. "It must be because someone drank too much last year!" (Huh?) Looking at the menu, I saw a beautiful cocktail called "Blue Daiquiri." It's a Plaza original cocktail made with white rum and blue curaçao. I thought it would be fitting as the "finale of the night," so I ordered it. Inside the counter, a bartender whom I didn't see last year was gracefully making cocktails. The taste was refreshing and soft, like "the sea of Hokkaido in June." I marveled as I sipped it (laughs). The charm was a paté mixture of tuna, anchovy, and olives on a cracker. "Would you like another drink?" I heard a "devil's whisper" in my ear (laughs). Since I was just going up to the room to sleep, I decided to have a Martini as the "finale." The bartender asked, "How would you like it?" and I said, "Dry!" He stirred it about 100 times (I even counted myself, which I think is amazing, haha). The chilled and dry Martini (made with Bombay Sapphire) was perfect as the last drink. Later, I saw the bartender who took care of me so much with the "Free Flow" last year, and I mustered up the courage to ask, "Is there no guest-exclusive all-you-can-drink plan this year?" And guess what!! Bacchus (the god of wine) seemed to have come here again this year (very happy). "It has increased in price a bit from last year (3,500 yen for 2 hours), but the menu has expanded, and there are various things to enjoy!" So, I started over (surprised). The first drink (well, the third one!) was white wine. I missed the detailed explanation, but it seemed to be one of the Hokkaido wines. It was a refreshing wine with a good aftertaste. After that, I had a lighter cocktail, "Yang Guifei." This one is a relatively sweet and feminine cocktail made with osmanthus wine and lychee liqueur. After a short break, since I was in Hokkaido, I decided to have the "Snow Country"! This one, with a "snow style" rim on the glass, exuded a "transient atmosphere." Contrary to its appearance, this vodka-based cocktail had a slightly strong taste. It seemed to be one of the representative cocktails of the post-war era. I didn't know that, but its beautiful appearance made me fall for it unintentionally. And finally, I had the XYZ after a long time (laughs). This time, I tried their original cocktails. 1) IBIZA: Winner of the 18th H.B.A. Creative Cocktail Competition Hokkaido Long Division. A cocktail inspired by Ryu Murakami's "Ibiza", made with peach liqueur, vodka, and more. It is a sweet cocktail that gently envelops the body. 2) FOREVER: Winner of the 18th H.B.A. Creative Cocktail Competition Hokkaido Sweet Division, 4th place in the national competition. A cocktail with Charleston, dry gin, Calpis, blue curacao, and more, representing the idea of Keio Plaza Hotel walking forever. It is a cute and sweet cocktail with a refreshing blue color and a cherry accent. 3) Queen of Sky: Winner of the 18th H.B.A. Creative Cocktail Competition Hokkaido Dry Division. A cocktail made with dry gin, Cointreau, blue curacao, and more, representing the clear blue sky and the queen who rules over it. The whimsical queen has a wide and grand image that envelops all life. It is refreshing and enjoyable. I also had a few classic cocktails. The bar has a very spacious atmosphere, making it easy to relax comfortably. I had a great time chatting with the bartender, and even got to hear interesting stories about various types of alcohol. They also recommended a popular bar in Sapporo for me to visit the next day, run by a female bartender who trained at Yamazaki.

There are no unnecessary distractions, so my mind doesn't wander (it's calming and good for thinking). The bartenders and servers subtly take care of you (at a certain level of hotel, you're unlikely to have a bad experience with service). This place is one of those. It's generally quiet, perhaps because it's a little away from the station. The 10-seat amber bar counter is polished and is at just the right height for me to lean my elbows or hands on. The lighting in the restaurant is just right. It may be an old establishment, but for me, it's a good place to release the stress from work. I start with a gin and tonic or bourbon and a glass of water, and then another citrus cocktail, and it's already my closing time. In total, around 3000 yen, it's a feeling of having gained something compared to the hustle and bustle of izakayas. Being alone is fine, but it's also a convenient space for listening to the complaints and complicated stories of subordinates that you can't tell anyone else. When it comes to bars, I think preferences vary greatly depending on the compatibility between the customer and the establishment, as well as the customer's purpose. For someone like me who is not after the alcohol itself, a place that provides a quiet and relaxing time and space is the best. Hello, I'm a leisurely drinker. Today, I ran from the station to make it in time for the opening. A bit tired, but the first drink was delicious! The White Lady (SG-san, would have been even better if there were ice flakes, but it was not too diluted. Running made it taste even better. Manhattan (K-san, has a grape-like flavor. Not too fruity but not heavy either. Very tasty. The Martini was decent. For snacks, we had Meat Sauce Quiche and Chicken Pressé (with an orange accent). Old Fashioned is one of my favorite drinks. Made with Maker's Mark, it was super delicious. Finished with a Martini (I-san, made with a bit of nervousness but turned out great. It would have been even better if it was colder.
