On a certain weekday, I found a bookmark at a lunch spot in the subway area near Kita 18-jo that relatively recently opened as a takeout-only shop for soba and bento. There is no parking lot, so you need to plan ahead. The store is located in the former space of a trendy curry shop, and besides the entrance door, everything has been renovated, with a reception counter, two waiting chairs, and a probably spacious kitchen in the back. From the menu on this day, I decided to try both soba and bento, so I ordered the cheapest "nori bento (420 yen)" and "mini kakesoba (250 yen)". Moving to the car, I took a bite... Oh, the kakesoba had the soba and broth separated, and you pour the soba into the broth before eating, which was a good system. The soba looked slightly green, like new soba maybe? It was thinly cut and tended to stick together after some time, but it dissolved quickly in the broth and was surprisingly delicious. The broth, even after a 10-minute drive, didn't cool down much and had a good balance of sweetness and fish stock, better than expected. Next, the nori bento felt slightly heavier than average, with a crispy fried white fish fillet and a thick coating that was easy to eat. The tempura fish cake was longer than average and had a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness, the tamagoyaki was a type that was neither too sweet nor too salty, there were pink pickles, boiled greens, nori and kombu tsukudani, and the rice was firm and not bad. I was initially skeptical about takeout soba, but it was surprisingly well-prepared, so I was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit difficult to eat in the car, but it was good. Thank you for the meal.
