I stopped by a restaurant on my way to shopping in Furano and Asahikawa for work. I ordered the "Furano miso ramen" for 860 yen. The soup was a white miso base with straight noodles, menma, bean sprouts, corn, simmered pork shoulder, seaweed, and chopped green onions. The soup was gentle and deep in flavor, the noodles were soft and well-cooked, and the toppings were delicious. The corn was a nice touch. Overall, it was a kind and enjoyable meal that reflected the local culture and people.

Ginger ramen with salt flavor for 780 yen and Hanamichi gyoza for 400 yen. The location is good, so it's a revisit for lunch. There was one customer before me and one after me. I was thinking about ordering miso ramen, but decided to go with the ginger ramen with salt flavor, which seemed light. I also ordered the grilled gyoza. The ginger ramen had a subtle ginger flavor, which was nice. The toppings included chashu, chopped wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and bamboo shoots. I prefer the wood ear mushrooms not chopped. The grilled gyoza had a tasty filling with plenty of garlic chives, but it was a bit dry and crispy, which made it less enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the ramen restaurant Hanamichi in Kamifurano Town, which seemed easy to enter with a parking lot. I ordered the 2nd most popular dish, Furano Miso Ramen for ¥750. It was a new local ramen, so I had some expectations. I also added a topping of green onions for ¥150. The dish was served in about 5 minutes, which was quite fast. The green onions on top were piled like a small mountain, all finely chopped. The soup was indeed creamy, but the flavor was very light, and I found it a bit lacking for my taste today. I wondered if it was because of the green onion topping. The total cost was ¥972 before tax. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious for a while, but I had never spent lunchtime in Kami-Furano. Finally, my wish came true. The exterior suggests that they have a strong commitment to ramen. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu... I changed my mind! Today, I'll have the bara-don (pork bowl) instead. I ordered bara-don with extra rice, extra meat, and a hot spring egg. Kami-Furano is known for having a large pork processing plant, and there are several famous shops that serve pork sagari (pork belly). When I asked the staff, they confirmed that they use meat from there. The dish arrived shortly. The oil from the pork belly is delicious. It might be a bit salty for some people. Even as a fan of salty flavors (lol), I felt the same way. But if you're craving meat, I recommend it. Next time, I want to try the ramen.

Ordered the Furano red miso ramen. The spiciness of the soup was moderate, with a decent umami flavor but lacking in punch. The overall taste was dull, with no outstanding flavor. Most importantly, the noodles were not great. I will not be visiting again.

I went to eat after hearing about it from an acquaintance. The dishes were "Koumi Shoyu" and "Katon". It was too spicy for me, but my wife loved the flavorful spiciness and wants to go back again.

I remembered how hot it used to be a while ago, so I decided to visit after a long time (*^^*) I think I came here a few times back when I had a flip phone. There was a Lavender Festival or something like that, right? I think I've tried other menu items before, but what I remember the most is this super hot ramen♡ Looking at the menu, if it's not here, I'll head to "Shinmachi" instead (lol) Huh? I'm totally fine with it (*^^)v I'm here with my daughter... We're both ramen lovers who always go for "shoyu" (soy sauce) ramen (lol) It's been a while since my last visit, but I'm relieved to see that this place is still going strong (^_-) I wanted to order gyoza for takeout because I knew we wouldn't be able to finish it all (lol) The "Toromiru Yasai" had plenty of various vegetables, but I felt a little sad that there were no green peppers in it... The hotness was still on point (๑´ڡ`๑)ν

It's still December but the days are getting colder. During lunchtime, I decided to visit a ramen shop after a long time. I ordered the recommended Furano miso ramen (750 yen) and cha-mayo don (250 yen) and waited for a while. It was brought to me in about 10 minutes. The appearance of the ramen was creamy and slightly whitish. The toppings in the bowl included chashu, bean sprouts, green onions, carrots, and corn. The soup was similar to Sapporo miso ramen but lacked richness and depth of flavor. It was unclear what made it "Furano miso" as the concept was vague. The noodles were medium-thin, flat, curly noodles with a smooth and good texture. The cha-mayo don had chopped chashu, bonito flakes, and mayonnaise on top of the rice. The portion of rice was generous but the taste was somewhat disappointing, resembling okonomiyaki. Overall, it was a bit of a letdown despite my high expectations. It did warm me up though... Thank you for the meal.

Furano is a treasure trove of delicious ingredients, but I couldn't think of a standout Furano ramen (sorry), so I did some on-site research. I didn't even know there was Furano miso, so I gave it a try. It must be made from local soybeans. The vegetables in the dish are also locally sourced, which is a plus. The restaurant had a friendly atmosphere that seemed to be loved by locals. The portion was generous, and I left satisfied with the Furano ramen.

A ramen specialty restaurant located at a corner of a crossroads in the town center of Kami-Furano. There is a free parking lot in front of the store. About 10 years ago, when I happened to visit Kami-Furano, I stopped by this place. I think the name of the store was different back then. The miso ramen I had at that time was very delicious, so I decided to revisit. I promptly ordered the miso ramen. However, after 10 years, I couldn't taste that same flavor that I remembered. It's a shame. Nevertheless, the soup had a smooth texture and was enjoyable. The cha-mayo rice bowl I ordered was slightly tangy.

- Visit after a long time - I visited this restaurant after a long time, before heading to the Kamifurano Town Hall for a lunch visit. There were four customers already seated when I entered, and I took a table on the left side. After browsing the menu, I decided to order the "Tonkotsu Ramen" with soup and rice. It arrived in about 5 minutes! The soup looked rich and creamy with a strong cloudy appearance, and the toppings included chashu, chopped green onions, menma, wood ear mushrooms, nori, keeping it simple. I started by tasting the soup, which seemed to be a blend of chicken and pork bone broth with a soy sauce base that matched well. The creamy soup was delicious, and the noodles, which were medium-thick curly noodles, had a chewy texture. The chashu had a good balance of tenderness and firmness, making it quite tasty. The simple ingredients and the soup complemented each other well, and the noodles seemed to be chosen to enhance the overall flavor. After finishing my meal, I had a meeting at the town hall and then decided to take photos of the autumn leaves at "Ryounkaku" since the weather was nice. This year, the autumn leaves seemed to be earlier than usual, and I was able to capture some beautiful photos with the first snowfall. - First visit in 2012 - Today, I finished my business in Kamifurano early, so I decided to drive to the parking lot of "Ryounkaku" in Tokachidake Onsen to take photos of the autumn leaves. Despite it being a weekday, there were quite a few cars parked there. The autumn leaves were only about 50-60% at their peak, so I decided to take out my DSLR camera to capture the scene. However, to my dismay, the battery was dead! Embarrassed, I had to resort to taking photos with my phone, which was not ideal but better than nothing. After coming down from the mountain, I went to a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I ordered the "Furano Red Miso Ramen" from the menu. When it arrived, I was surprised by how red the soup was, but after tasting it, I found the top layer to be slightly spicy while the underlying miso soup was mild, sweet, and gentle. The noodles were a bit soft, but still acceptable. The chashu looked tough at first, but it was actually very tender. I couldn't stop eating until I finished every last bit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and deciding what to try next!

When I came to Hokkaido, I knew I had to try the ramen in the Asahikawa area. I found this restaurant while searching for a place to eat. The sign outside said, "Local delicious food, ramen with great ingredients." I had high expectations. The restaurant had clean and neat table and tatami seating. I was torn between miso and nostalgic soy sauce ramen for 650 yen, and also ordered 5 pieces of Hanamichi grilled gyoza for 400 yen. The soy sauce ramen had a classic and delicious taste. The gyoza was juicy and tasty, although I wish there were 6 pieces. In this competitive ramen area, I want to try various places to compare.

The Furano miso ramen was delicious. The ramen was good, but nowadays, there are many restaurants in the countryside that have not implemented proper smoking separation. This place is the same.

(Visit Background) After finishing a fossil digging expedition and feeling hungry, we wandered around the town of Furano for about 30 minutes. It was getting close to lunchtime, so we decided to check out a ramen shop we had been eyeing. It was a little past 1 o'clock, but the place was packed. However, we managed to get a table without waiting. (Main Menu) They offered miso ramen, soy sauce ramen, and more. (Experience) My parents ordered miso ramen, while my child opted for soy sauce ramen. It was much tastier than the ramen we had the day before. The miso ramen was creamy and delicious, just as it is often described. It was definitely the right choice. (Other) We had to wait quite a while after placing our order. We couldn't see the kitchen, so we're not sure what caused the delay. Perhaps they had to boil water from scratch. Interestingly, there were Chinese (or Taiwanese?) tourists who arrived by rental car. Maybe there is a Chinese-language version of food review websites like Tabelog.
