I was just looking to have a drink to adjust my time, but I felt bad just ordering that, so I decided to go for the "Apple Pie and Small Coffee Set (210 yen with coupon)". I took a bite... Yes, it's nice to start the year with something sweet. The apple pie had a crispy crust and a generous amount of soft apple filling that I had to carefully eat to avoid spilling. The coffee, served in a small cup, was also satisfying. Thanks to this meal, I've started the year with a lucky snack. It was a delightful meal.

When I went to Shin-Sapporo for work and stopped by McDonald's Shin-Sapporo Kategiri branch for lunch, they have a parking lot available. There is a large food court here so there is no problem finding a place to eat, but they only had one register open so the line was quite long. But there are so many places in Katepuri and Duo where you can get ice cream that I'm a bit indecisive. So, I decided to search on the app for a nearby McDonald's. Found it! I used a coupon for a discount. I got a McFlurry with Kit Kat for 290 yen, discounted to 270 yen with the coupon. Today, I got it for 250 yen + 20 yen, so it was a good deal! I'll mix it all up and enjoy. Is this how you're supposed to eat it? I'm not sure, but it's tasty and has a fun texture. It's soft serve with crushed Kit Kat and chocolate sauce. I love caramel-flavored food and drinks. Last week I had Double Caramel Chocolate Nut at Baskin Robbins. Today, I tried the new Caramel Flurry with caramel sauce at McDonald's. The combination of soft serve ice cream and caramel sauce was delicious. The caramel flavor was more like milk caramel than pudding caramel. The almond crunch was the highlight, adding a crispy texture to the soft serve. I was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected crunchiness. I love when ice cream has different textures mixed in. Definitely a repeat order for me!

This is the McDonald's located in the underground of Catepu. I stopped by on my way back from shopping to buy the "Teritama Burger." The Teritama burger is usually sold every spring (from mid-March to early April). I think it has been about 20 years since the Teritama was first released, and I believe I have never missed a year without trying it. My husband and I both love it, so when it is released, it becomes a conversation starter like "Spring has come again." Last week, I bought it at the McDonald's on Route 12, and as expected, it was delicious. Today is my second Teritama of the year. It seems that the "Thick-cut Pepper Bacon Teritama" has been discontinued (at this store). They still have the regular Teritama and the Cheese Teritama (as of April 2, 2019). Like last time, I ordered the regular Teritama for takeout. I enjoyed it at home. The Teritama (single) costs 340 yen (with a coupon). The sweet and salty Teriyaki sauce with a juicy egg. It's always delicious no matter how many times I eat it. I had a blissful time sipping Mitsuya Cider that I always keep stocked at home while eating it. The McDonald's here gets really crowded if you don't consider the time. Students line up in the evening and during test breaks, the line can be there all day. I often see elderly people buying coffee. There are plenty of seats if it's not the weekend, so no problem there. But on weekend lunchtimes, it's hard to find a seat. The staff is very polite. It was disappointing that the lettuce in the Ebi Filet was hard.
