After finishing work at 5 pm in the mulberry garden, I felt like having a drink and invited my good friend, Tomoko, who happily agreed. We decided on the "Just a Drink Set 1580 yen" under the elevated tracks of JR Kuwanazono Station. It was just past 5 pm on a weekday, with no other customers present and only about 10 people coming in later, so we were able to choose our favorite table - a 4-person table for just the two of us. We ordered the "Just a Drink Set 1580 yen" + tax, which included 2 drinks, appetizers, 3 skewers, fried food, potato salad, cold tofu, pickles, and pork miso soup. Despite being called "Just a Drink," you can actually have 2 drinks! We ordered two short jugs of Malt beer. The appetizer was a generous serving of bamboo shoot stew. The large plate included a mountain of shredded cabbage, watercress, potato salad, cold tofu, pickled Chinese cabbage, and Zangi. The amount was incredible! The cabbage was so plentiful that we asked for extra mayonnaise. The skewers arrived at the right time, hot off the grill - chicken, pork, and meatballs. The plate was enough for two people. The meat was delicious - juicy chicken, tender pork, and flavorful meatballs. The salt level was just right, not too salty. We ordered another round of beer. The individual beer prices were a bit high. We took home the leftover skewers as usual. The next day, I had a grilled chicken bento for lunch. The pork miso soup arrived towards the end, a nice way to finish the meal. Despite being full, the timing of the hot dishes was impressive. It was a good experience. If we hadn't ordered extra drinks, it would have been quite affordable! Total time spent: 1.5 hours. Total payment: 2246 yen per person.
