I visited around 8:30 pm on the weekend. I called ahead and was able to get a table. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, but it's not very large so it's always full. The entrance curtain gives off a slightly high-end vibe, but the prices are not too expensive. The atmosphere and prices attract an older crowd, making it a great place for relaxed conversations. I tried various dishes and drinks after looking at the menu and wall posters. The appetizer was salted squid and chrysanthemum in broth. The squid was fresh and sweet, and the broth was just right, prompting me to order some sake. The daikon radish in the oden was flavorful all the way through, and the sukiyaki flavored dish was interesting and made me crave rice. The seaweed soup with plenty of seaweed and squid rice were perfect for sake. The dried bonito flakes were served in a generous portion, allowing for different ways to enjoy them with oden broth or a sprinkle of soy sauce. I tried the recommended sake, which was served in a beautiful glass. Although the prices are a bit high, the menu offers unique and flavorful dishes that pair well with sake. The portion sizes are average, but everything I tried was delicious. The staff's attitude was great, making the overall experience very pleasant. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

It's getting cold, so I felt like having oden and decided to try this place for the first time. I ordered dashimaki tamago, smoked cheese, fried mackerel, and oden. The sashimi platter served as a complimentary dish can be enjoyed with soy sauce or salt + olive oil. The restaurant was filled with a nice aroma of dashi, which paired well with the sake. The selection of sake on the wall caught my interest, and there were also some decent wine options as it is a sister store of Kyon's bar. There are bottles not listed on the menu, so you can choose from a few options when you express your preferences. The menu had a variety of dishes that would appeal to food enthusiasts, and everything I ordered went well with the alcohol and was delicious. I would like to come back again.

July 2022, Five Points area in Hakodate. Despite being full, I decided to push myself to visit another restaurant. I stumbled upon a dashi-focused restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and jazz music playing, creating an adult space. I ordered a Black Label beer in a tumbler for 530 yen, with the perfect amount of foam. The complimentary sashimi appetizer included flounder, salmon, and horse mackerel, all incredibly fresh. The sashimi was served with olive oil and salt, enhancing the flavors. The shock came when I saw the prices - 700 yen for the sashimi! I also tried some light dishes like konjac for 180 yen and spring greens for 250 yen. The portions were unexpectedly large, with thick slices of konjac and multiple bunches of spring greens. The dishes were delicious, with a gentle taste and well-suited for drinking. However, the generous portions were overwhelming, leaving me feeling stuffed. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch this time, and it was my first visit for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant has a counter and several table seats. There were 3 customers at the counter and a group at the table when I arrived. One more customer came to the counter after me, and then a group of 2 joined the table. It seems to be quite popular. I chose the meat option for the lunch set where you can choose between fish and meat. I ordered the fried chicken with beet tartar. The tartar sauce had a pink color (from the beet) and looked cute and vibrant, but the flavor of the tartar was rich and delicious! The chicken was fried perfectly as well. It was really tasty! I will definitely visit again.

It's a pub crawl today haha. I heard that the oden here is delicious, so I decided to stop by. The menu had a variety of wines, and I wanted to drink Pinot, but they didn't have it, so I'll have a glass of ponzu sake instead. Since this is the second stop, I'll go easy on the food and just have the appetizer and oden. The potato salad had a rich flavor that went well with the alcohol and was delicious. The oden had a delicious broth that I ended up drinking all of! The ingredients were also well simmered, and the chrysanthemum leaves were soft and easy to eat. Everything went well with the alcohol, so I had a great time. Thank you for the meal.

Beer 546 x 2, Assorted Sake Appetizers 1500, Oden Assortment 700, Miso Soup with Rakkyo 400, Otoshi (appetizer) 650. Total 4770 yen. It has been open for 2 years, so it must have opened not long before the COVID-19 pandemic... I hope they continue to do their best and not give up.

Lunch is served from Tuesday to Friday for 880 yen, with two options available. On this day, the choices were pork miso soup lunch or pickled herring or mackerel lunch. The menu usually includes both meat and fish dishes, like hamburger steak. You can also order additional items like oden from the dinner menu. The atmosphere seemed to cater more towards middle-aged men, with a lot of salarymen as customers. The rice seemed to be microwaved, which I didn't particularly enjoy.

I went to "Odashi Sakana Yasaku" on this day. When I arrived a little before the opening at 12 o'clock, the staff was already putting up the curtain! This made me even more excited as it seemed like a unique shop in Hakodate. I was the first customer of the day and there were only 3 other groups later. I was seated at the counter, at the far left seat. The menu was a "One Soup Three Side Dishes Lunch" where you choose a main dish from three options - 2 fish dishes and 1 meat dish, all of which change daily. I prefer meat over fish, so I ordered the "One Soup Three Side Dishes Lunch" with the main dish being the meat stir-fry, and I changed the miso soup to "tonjiru" (pork miso soup). The menu also had an oden menu listed on the back, which might be available during lunch as well, although I didn't ask. Maybe because it's a popular spot for office workers, the lunch arrived in less than 5 minutes. The staff kindly explained the lunch set, which included two side dishes - "hiyayakko" (chilled tofu) and "niratama" (leek and egg). Both the meat stir-fry and hiyayakko were delicious, but the niratama, which was cooked in dashi broth, was especially tasty. It was so good that I could have ordered a "niratama set"! (laughs) After finishing everything, they served me "hojicha" for a little break. The service was great, so I'm thinking of going back at night for some "oden and drinks".

This was my first visit to a shop that recently opened, specializing in selling dashi. They have counter seats, as well as a semi-private room with partitions and a few table seats. There didn't seem to be any all-you-can-drink options. We tried various dishes, but the iburi gakko cream cheese and Nishikyo-yaki were especially delicious. Despite drinking quite a bit, the bill didn't end up being too high, so I thought it was quite reasonable.

It's a shop that always caught my eye because it's diagonally across from Colts. Although it's been about half a year since I went there. They have a bar where you can drop in even without a reservation (of course, reservations are recommended for serious visits). They serve home-cooked dishes at An. The appetizer was a clear soup. The snacks were dried squid chips and bonito flakes, maybe a bit too much? I could also sense a slightly oxidized flavor. We ordered a variety of oden dishes, which were on the strong side in terms of taste. The freshly fried manju was the most delicious, I would like to try it again.

I was intrigued by the modest sign visible from the streetcar street. This time, I had the opportunity to enter the noren of "Odashin, Sakana, Yasaku" restaurant. The interior of the restaurant has a counter with seven seats and semi-private tables, filled with the aroma of dashi. When the otoshi (700 yen) was served with the No. 1 dashi, I felt that it was a very sophisticated restaurant. I ordered dishes such as snow crab innards (650 yen) and chawanmushi (450 yen). The total cost for a short stay was around 3,500 yen. It is a recommended restaurant.
