On Sunday, I played golf and had a terrible game after a long time. I was so frustrated that I decided to head straight to Bihoro. I bought some meat in Tamura for a barbecue. I also wanted to check out the situation in Tamura as there have been rumors going around. When my wife visited the other day, she mentioned that the meat selection and quality seemed off. But today, it wasn't so bad. Perhaps it was because it was a weekday. On the way back, I will stop by a vegetable market that Papa's registered. I always get told to buy something if I find it, so I picked up some Inca wake-up and homemade garlic miso. This place is quite popular, so the good stuff tends to sell out quickly. There were many baskets with only vegetable names written on them. The staff seemed to be older ladies who were probably farmers. The hit-or-miss rate is pretty bad, but it's more like one miss out of a handful. I showed my wife the Inca wake-up I bought, and her reaction was lackluster. She just said, "Oh, okay, thanks." It felt like a forced response. I was thinking the same thing. The garlic miso was served with cold tofu. I thought the garlic would be mixed in, but it was left whole in the miso. It seemed like they also added some miso stew to it. The miso is a blend of red miso, and the garlic flavor is quite strong. That's the beauty of homemade, it's delicious. The Inca wake-up was served in a stew. Even though I usually don't like potatoes, I like Inca because it's sweet. But this one wasn't sweet at all. I also made it at home, and mine wasn't sweet either. I'll let it sit for a bit and see if it changes. If Inca isn't sweet, then it's just like any other potato, which I don't like. Oh well, that's how it goes.

This is Oozora-cho Onnenbetsu. We sell fresh vegetables near the roadside station. It's always crowded with people buying freshly picked vegetables. The prefab-like sales floor is not very spacious, but inside the store, various freshly picked vegetables are lined up. It's my favorite direct sales store, and I go there once or twice a month. Anyway, the vegetables are fresh and cheap. Today, I will buy some asparagus, lettuce, broccoli, colorful bell peppers, garlic, and onions. The vegetables available vary depending on the day, so there is always an exciting feeling every time I go. Oh, by the way, I highly recommend the morning-picked boiled corn here! It's popular and sells out quickly, so get it early.
